Avantages

I love how not only is it a great password manager, but they have a command line interface where you can inject passwords through the command line. This makes local secret management really nice.

Inconvénients

Managing the team settings is a little messy since you have to do that through their web app. I would love if that was all manageable through the mac app.

Avantages

I appreciate the security and convenience that 1Password provides in managing my passwords. It saves me the hassle of having to remember all my passwords, and it allows me to create strong, individual passwords for each account. Furthermore, its two-factor authentication, auto-fill and password sharing features increase its security and make it even more user-friendly.

Inconvénients

The least liked thing about 1Password is that it can be difficult to set up and configure depending on the user’s level of technical expertise. It also requires users to remember a master password, which can be difficult for some people. Additionally, the cost for the premium version can be prohibitive for some users.

Avantages

1Password has a nice looking and easy to understand interface. It works seamlessly on my computer and mobile phone, really wherever I set it up. Ease of use and top-tier security were the two metrics I was looking for, and this aces both. Much better than LastPass, imho.

Inconvénients

It's not unique to 1Password, but learning to use a password manager can have quite a learning curve no matter who you use. This has been a struggle for my parents, for example. Having used other password managers though, it's hard for me to find fault with this one. It's pretty smooth.

Even though I am a single individual I have amassed a surprisingly large number of online accounts. From banks, credit cards, subscriptions, online retailers, reward cards, etc. You name it. I currently have 270 individual login accounts, and yes, I use the majority of them at least once every month or two. There is no way in hades that I would be able to use unique and long passwords for each one. The password generator is a fantastic utility. I just look at the website's requirements and make the password the maximum length and complexity. Watchtower is great for data breaches that I might not otherwise know about and the "aging" of passwords is helpful to keep my rotation current. Storage of software, licenses, SSN, credit cards and the like is brilliant. I can fill in websites with my current info at one or two clicks. I was not crazy about the subscription change in 1Password 7 but as long as it stays at the current price for those of us who have switched, I think it is a good deal. I hope it never gets too expensive and we have no option but to pay or lose the program. I have been using 1Password since (If I remember correctly, Version 2 and have it on my iPhone and iPad. I cannot say enough good things.

Inconvénients

I wish there was a way to stop a password / pin number being flagged as weak if you have no alternative to the length of the password/pin. Also, I would love a feature that made a smart list of logins that have not been used in a user specified period of time. Such as, "not used in 6 months, not used in 1 year, not used in 2 years.... etc. That way one could begin weeding out accounts set up for one use, and no longer needed. One could go to that site and delete the account so there are not "orphan" accounts lingering in the ether.

Avantages

All the features 1Password includes. They area always up to date with the latest features, for example I love that instead of having to type my password I can just place my fingerprint on the mac and log in.

Inconvénients

It is very complicated to sync accounts. I had a personal paying account but then in my company we purchased licences for everyone (including me) so I had to sync my 2 account. The process was complicated but I could sync them because I watched a youtube video.

-It's a bit of high price, so when recommending it to others I often get turned down because the price point seems high if you've never experienced how awesome a password manager is.

Avantages

Ability to create strong passwords and store them in a central location with the ability to easily recall and automatically enter into websites/portals when required.

Inconvénients

Hard to go between mobile devices and standalone devices that are not yours. Would have to find your password on the app, if using a different computer, and manually enter a very long alphanumeric password into a website.

Avantages

Works on all my devices. Integration with windows hello and iPhone. Ability to make long and complicated passwords that don’t easily get hacked.

Inconvénients

Yearly fee. Sometimes it’s frustrating to have to log in so much sometimes does not automatically recognize what login is needed for certain websites.

1Password enables me to create more complex and secure passwords without needing to remember them. It is an easy way to increase the security of accounts while only needing to remember a master password.

Inconvénients

Depending on the website you are making an account on, it can take a few tries to create a password that meets the right character or symbol requirements when setting up a new login.

Avantages

Keep all your passwords in one place, protected! Copy and paste your password without difficulty. From usernames to ID info to wifi passwords! Simple!

Switched from another program because it no longer operates in the iOS system making it obsolete.

Avantages

I've recently installed this software on my mobile and I started to enjoy the cool features. It is available on Windows as well. You can easily store your passwords, login credentials, and other important data, and auto-fill options really handy features for mobile users.

Inconvénients

There are no major cons to this software.Need to have an option to buy a lifetime standalone license, because there are peoples can't afford to go with a subscription plan for long term use

It is easy to use, implement, and maintain. It is simple with just enough frills that make it worth the money and time and effort to get it up and running.

Inconvénients

Updates often lead to issues. With each update over the past 2 years or so, integration with Safari does not work, and it often does not want to stay logged in on the desktop.

I love having all my passwords configured to be unique and easy to get access to if I sign in on a new device.

Inconvénients

I sort of hate that it needs to exist, would be my biggest complaint. But the threats to your accounts are real and very common, so at least there are amazing options out there.

1Password allows you to conveniently store all of your passwords in a safe place. Working in a medical office with sensitive information requires the most secure of systems, but it can be difficult to keep track of complex passwords, however 1Password makes this a breeze. Allowing you to have one secure password to keep hundreds safe is a priceless feature for an office.

Inconvénients

1Password does take some time to properly set up each password safely, but once down it's a breeze to use them. The learning curve it takes to use 1Password efficiently is worth it.

It’s secure, it’s got a great desktop tray application that makes it easy to grab passwords for applications along with browsers extensions for your favorite websites. Built in password generator etc.

Inconvénients

The mobile app was not great until they enabled thumbprint login, such a pain to type my master pass in on a mobile device

Avantages

1Password is available for every platform and it makes it super easy to use. With 1Password I never keep passwords in my mind because the app keeps my passwords secure and it's reachable from everywhere.

Inconvénients

It's not free. You have to pay it every month if you want to use it but when it's compared to Apple iCloud KeyChain it's more reachable. Because iCloud KeyChain is only on Apple devices but if you put your passwords in 1Password you can easily access them from wherever you want and whenever you want from any device.

Avantages

Easy to connect as extension to mac, seamlessly integrated with iPhone and Mac as well as having a personal account and connected to my work passwords in a single place.

Inconvénients

Bit complicated when setting up credit card details as to what is required to be put into which section. Which was slightly confusing at first.

Avantages

They have taken a chaotic collection of information (all the secret stuff we need to remember), and made it extremely accessible. Having family access and synced data across many devices is invaluable. ...and it's a great development team.

Inconvénients

Getting the less-tech-savvy members of the family set-up and running can be a little daunting, but worth it.

Avantages

It's quick to update across all devices. I use 1Password on approximately 8 different devices, both personal and professional. Information syncs across devices surprisingly fast! I like that, unlike other password managers, it isn't always popping things up to suggest passwords/best practices, etc. It stays where it needs to be and is there when I need it. The price is reasonable, as well.

Inconvénients

Transitioning from a browser-based method of remembering passwords to a 3rd party, standalone software takes some time and diligence. There is no way to export passwords from my browser and back into 1Password, which made the setup process quite lengthy.

I liked being able to generate and manage secure passwords for so many different sites.

I did not like having to pay for share my information with other users.

What prompted me to write a review is the new Chrome extension. It used to be 1Password's weakness, but not anymore. Great work guys!

The big problem with 1password is that you become very dependent of the app and without it you are in trouble!
