Avantages

That I can have a separate workspace for each client. That is does 7-day tracking and allows you to choose your own start of the week day.
I love the fact that it now groups and adds up the times for distinct Tasks in a single day-space, but see Cons section.
The fact that it allows me to track time for multiple projects for a single client and keeps the totals distinct. But see Cons .
Support Team are really helpful and responsive.

Inconvénients

The fact that it does not give one the ability to round times tracked either up or down to the nearest complete fraction of an hour. If one does not do this , the total time for a day can be off and then multiple days like this cause an incorrect weekly total time. So I have to do the rounding manually for billing purposes. This is a pain.

Avantages

Ease of use, stability, features, tracking local activities on pc's to assign time worked on projects afterwards if you forgot to start a timer. It does a great job dividing tasks into several chunks according to activity.

Inconvénients

The userinterface, for instance searching for and managing projects and clients is clumsy and could be a lot more streamlined.

Avantages

As a freelancer, I love the ability to set "keywords" for clients in the desktop app. When I'm on a browser tab or system program that contains the keyword (my client's brand name in this case), it reminds me to start the timer. Love that.

Inconvénients

I wish the freemium model was limited in number of products as opposed to features. This would be a better freemium model for my needs, but I understand their business decision as well.

Avantages

Good interface and accessible on the web or phone app, with additional extensions created all the time.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the Windows app is slow to start. Just started using auto tracking features which hopefully means I no longer have to worry about forgetting to track or stop the timer.

I've been using this tool for a while now and I love that it is super easy to track your time.

Inconvénients

Price? In my opinion, $10 is a bit too much for me to spend personally on this. If I removed some of my subscriptions to other tools, though, I would purchase a subscription.

The amount of organization options and features are incredible, a lot of freedom when making your timesheet. It’s unmatched.

The charge per user in a team caught me by surprise, kept me from getting premium due to the high price.

Simplicity of time tracking (one click literally), quick access to latest tasks, and ease of use for managing multiple projects and clients. Everything is so intuitive.

What's really grind my gears is in reports I can't select multiple tasks (in group by project view), so I can marge it on my invoice to a one item. Now I need to do the the math on my own.

Avantages

The best part is email synchronisation. It helps to track the meeting invites and you don’t need to record it manually.

It should have more projects to track the bridge and joint calls, support providing to other teams and teammates. Still, we use internal meetings project for the same.

I’ve been using Toggl Track for over 10 years, and I love how quickly I can generate weekly reports when everything is tracked correctly. It’s incredibly efficient

The lack of Linux support is disappointing. As a developer, I rely on Linux, and manual time tracking without native support feels labor-intensive.

The ability to easily start and stop timers to actively track the tasks I'm currently working on is amazing. To top it off, the reminders for not enabling the timer helps me keep me in check if I ever forget to start a timer.

The ability to export data as CSV and Excel is unfortunately a paid feature.

Avantages

Easy to use, great user experience, and extensive integration capabilities. Reporting is easy and powerful. Most time tracking and reporting features are available on the free tier, and are good enough for a freelancer. Customer support is very open and approachable.

Inconvénients

I feel Toggl Track is well adapted to my workflow, and the only thing missing that I still need to do manually is a different rounding method per billing period, e.g. round up each project's total to 1h multiples for each week.

Avantages

Convenience, it has well thought out features that make time tracking a breeze.

I believe the desktop app's calendar doesn't allow for viewing weekly or monthly, this would be a nice addition since I use the desktop app almost exclusively.

Native Mac OS App with great keyboard shortcuts - makes it easy to start/stop tracking. Can also edit times after entry to make corrections

It's free and desktop app is nice and easy to use. Has some handy features like being able to just cancel out inactive periods.

Web app is much more complex to navigate around. Would be nice to have the report info on the desktop app.

It is costly. Pomodoro should be available for a task, and not just start a timer.

The ease of setup and use was huge for me. The mobile and desktop apps are clean, modern, and easy to use. I can track anything at any time, and I use it daily for both business and personal use.

Inconvénients

It is sometimes frustrating to accidentally drag time segments around while scrolling the calendar and not having a way to undo those changes can lead to issues with chronology, which I often use to reflect on my day.

Avantages

I love how easy it is to get set up and started within the software. Having a robust set of access options (Apps, Browser, Extensions, etc) makes it almost impossible to come up with an excuse of why not to use it.

Inconvénients

Switching from a personal plan to a business plan becomes a little challenging and I ultimately had to mirror my personal projects/clients/etc. Though this feature may have been improved since it first came out several years ago.
