Avantages

The features available are perfectly catered for the needs of pre-schools as well as parents. It is really user-friendly, be it for the admins, teachers or parents. Even the more elderly teachers that are not familiar with the latest technology can use the application with ease!

Inconvénients

There were some minor glitches or crashes in the app, but after notifying the support team, the problems were solved promptly!

Pourquoi choisir Illumine 

Kubikt was more focused on finance and operation management, and it was difficult to get a grasp of how to make full use of it as it was too complicated for our admins even after attending a full-day training. Although in terms of price, Kubikt was far less pricey than Illumine, it did not have the features that would potentially bettered our pre-school.

Initially we were just looking for a platform to conduct online learning during the covid-19 outbreak, and we stumbled upon Illumine and the platforms mentioned above. I was impressed with the excellent customer service that I received, hence I decided to start the trial. We explored the other features offered in the app and thought it would be nice to take this opportunity and stand out from the other pre-schools in my country.

Avantages

Its a single mode of communication between the parents and the school. As a parent i know what are the assignments , Attendance and other announcements. The important part is the fees details , Pickup and drop details provide more safety to the kids. One feedback that i may have is if we can group the photos of ones kid at one place will be better...now school post 100 of photos and i need to drill down to find out which one are for my son...rest is great abt this app

Inconvénients

what i feel missing is if the school cameras can be integrated with this app then this will be one stop shop. My son school provide camera feature to check the live streaming of kids playground and cafeteria

Also add some animated videos for small childrens for their interest

I cannot use emogi's and the spacebar and full stop is too close to each other which hinders fast typing.

The updates are very easily visible. The media gets uploaded quite fast.

I can only upload either a photograph or a video, the option to upload both is not available. I feel tbe user interface and design can be improved and more options for text and font can be available.

There is still room for improvement. for Example
- Font size can be increased a little bit.
- It's not a con but at times certain pages look a bit cluttered.
- If we can customize the dashboard or if there could be a better way for dashboard layout that would be good

Avantages

The best feature is that it allows to choose different options while posting pictures for kids. Easy to check updates and backdated information.

Inconvénients

No option of selecting multiple parents to message. Have to individually select which is time consuming.

Avantages

Easy to join meetings as you don’t have to open zoom every time. Access to plans and calendar are are a good feature.

Inconvénients

There is always a delay. The home page shows the meeting from previous day always for few seconds before you can actually see that day meeting link. Also the lesson plans tab don’t work. U click on it and it shows lessons from past week and needs refreshing many times before you see the current.

I honestly just use the software for my son to go to school. I find that it's pretty easy to use and simple to navigate.

Inconvénients

Some times I have connection issues, but that's with anything. Other than that I don't really know much else about it to say anything bad.

The Check- in/ Check- out feature updated timely as and when the toddlers check- in and check- out of the Nursery, and the updates (in 7- 10 days) on the Activities' corner by the teacher

The Payment/ Invoicing feature was withdrawn by the Nursery for some unknown reason. It was a very convenient feature for fee payments by the parents.

Previously the school provided an app each for bus tracking, live streaming, and communication. Now they do everything through illumine. It has made my life as a parent much easier .

I wish I don’t have to scroll through 100 pictures to find a picture of my child. As I understand technology I know it is difficult to build face recognition but they can at least give an option to mark pictures and updates as favorite for future filtering.

It is very easy to use from parents and teachers. Easy to upload many photos and videos, fast connection with the parents - messages, observations, reminders, etc. Thankful for improvements that they do designed for us.

I have loved the Illumine app ever since I started using it as it is very user friendly. My work has become so much simpler and less time consuming as it has all the necessary features in one package like student attendance, sharing documents, lessons and assignments, sharing photographs and videos, posting announcements and reminders and scheduling meetings.

Inconvénients

No concerns as such except that sometimes I have to download the picture and open with software like Paint to convert to JPEG.

The camera views require me to individually select the view which takes time, it would be beneficial to have all camera views available or have an option for the parent to choose the camera views they'd like or use more often and have a single button to be able to see all the views in it

I simply love their medicine and concern section in the app. It saves lot of effort on both on my side and the teacher side.

They can improve their push notifications. At times it comes with a delay. I have raised it to them and they have said they are working on it

I expect to see a month calendar with class schedule in the Timeline section, but I actually have to check the it under Assignment section and open up a file to read the class schedule.

My child’s teachers use this app to keep us up to date about what he is eating and learning in class. It then allows us to follow up on the lessons from home.

I wish there was an option to respond to the posts or comment on the photos.

The fact I don't have to ask each and every detail to the daycare representatives and it gets automatically updated

illumine was easy to use and very convenient . I love that I can communicate with the school efficiently and effectively. It keeps the school accountable as they have to post daily updates.

I can see how my child performed through the day and most importantly download pictures for the grandparents. Its excellent. I would highly recommend it.
