Amazing all round product

Avantages

We love the simplicity that Bugherd gives to our clients. They can submit feedback or issues directly on the frontend of their website quickly. Bugherd has helped give clear communication channels to our clients and given us the ability to discuss issues as ease.

Inconvénients

Direct Intergration into Jira would have been good we have managed to do it via Zapier.

BugHerd makes it easy to QA

Avantages

BugHerd is very easy to jump in, understand your need and help you document swiftly. I've used it on both small and large teams and truly enjoy the interface of the product. It doesn't take up too much space either which can sometimes distract you from seeing the full view/frame at any point.

Inconvénients

Can't think of anything that distracts me that much about BugHerd, and I think that is a good thing. :)

Helps Make Large Projects Much Less Overwhelming

Avantages

The ease of just quickly adding a small task helps prioritize and keep a reminder to complete a task that would otherwise be forgotten or buried in someone's inbox. Also the ability to add attachments or associated screenshots is very helpful.

Inconvénients

The ability to clear or check and move multiple tasks over to the next status/column is missing. For example, I would love to be able to move several items from "Completed in DEV [Branch]" to "Ready for RELEASE [Branch]" when doing a code merge.

Bug Tracking Done Right

This is a product that has proven its value over the years. The time savings and overall efficiencies for website projects (managing front end builds and CMS integration) are amazing since we started using BugHerd.

Avantages

The Intuitive and robust nature of the product makes it an invaluable tool that we can not live without.

Inconvénients

The Mobile Support could be better BUT it is in the works.

Essential for our work flow

We use it just about every day for all web projects and would hate to be without it. It's indispensable.

Avantages

Marking comments in real-time on the actual web page was a huge plus for us.

Inconvénients

Early reliance on browser extensions for some functionality was a bit of an issue for some clients as they require assistance from their IT dept to get installed - if it was possible at all.

Great for getting feedback from users.

Avantages

Very simple to use. We have a number of young people that can help us with testing when we use this product.

Inconvénients

Pricing is a bit high, but they don't really have competition, so it makes sense.

Fantastic QA reporting and tracking tool!

Avantages

There are many great things about Bugherd!
- Ticket QA items directly in the browser while view the application in question
- Tickets automatically populate reproduction environments and provide screenshots
- Tickets are automatically sorted into a board, where users can begin working on them

Inconvénients

- There is no way to limit visibility of bugherd for certain users (i.e. if you want to add a client, they will see everything).
- Integrating bugherd with other project management tools would be extremely valuable.

Essential Tool

Avantages

Integration was very easy and it's easy for my clients to use. We use Bugherd for all bug reporting and most feature requests.

Inconvénients

I can't think of anything that could be improved.

Makes our Team more Efficient

Using Bugherd has allowed me to keep a consistent workflow, even when work needs to be QA'd. Using the tool makes the process quick and efficient, and I'm able to communicate thoroughly with the engineers on my team.

Avantages

What I love most about this software is the ease of use. I can translate bugs to the developers on my team so easily, and quickly! We are a fast paced company and this helps keep it that way.

Inconvénients

Ideally, I would love a mobile version - so I can test on my device (rather than just the in browser inspect mode for mobile). Other than that, I love the product.

Excellent Online Project Management Tool

Avantages

BugHerd makes communication with our project developers so simple. The ability to quickly capture a screenshot of the issue, add annotations to the image and then send it to your developer along with any comments you wish to make is fantastic.

Inconvénients

At the moment I honestly have no issues with the software.

Bugherd is awesome!

Avantages

We love that we can work with our clients outside of email to solve problems efficiently. It helps us get on the same page with our product developments.

Inconvénients

That I can't use it for more static design things like print/branding/etc.

Great tool for collecting feedback

We use Bugherd during the QA process of our Shopify website design/dev projects. We invite our clients to submit their feedback and we also use it internally to communicate development requirements.

Avantages

Finally a tool to track feedback accurately for web development! A fantastic way to pinpoint your feedback and collaborate on a solution.

Inconvénients

Guest access is limited in providing exposure to overall project status which causes extra work to generate reports to communicate project progression.

Must have tool for project launch

With bugherd we have a tool to assign tasks to frontend, backend, designer and project owner.

Avantages

It is easy to make the client to understand the work flow. With this tool we accelerate the project launch.

Amazing Software

It made our new website launch a huge success!

Avantages

This was absolutely essential in helping us develop a website where many editors were testing and needing to report issues. The fact that it gives you a screenshot of the area and the url made it so easy to isolate the issue and correct.

Inconvénients

I would love to be able to communicate to someone annoymous if they could add their email address.

BugHerd

Very positive: great product; great team.

Avantages

The ability to tie a bug directly to a course page; the browser extension; automatic screenshots; discussions; the new ability add/rename swimlanes.

Inconvénients

We'd like to be able to group individual courses in Canvas (each with a unique URL) into the same BH project: currently unable to do so. The annotation feature for screenshots is a bit primitive. Want to be able to edit link URLs in case page names (and therefore URLs) change after a bug is logged.

Perfect bridge between development agency and client

Very positive. Really valuable and easy to use tool. Gives us great insight in the planning and development of our websites.

Avantages

The automatic print screen and page marker work really great. Super easy to discuss new features, design changes and bugs.

Nothing to dislike. The tool is a great addition to our existing marketing stack.

Track your bugs and tasks easily

Avantages

- Easy to use for customers
- Connection between ticket and webpage frontend clarifies the task at hand and minimizes feedback loops
- UI is very cleaned up and intuitive

Inconvénients

- No Jira integration
- I have to write at least 40 characters in this box... ;-)

I don't remember how I did this without BugHerd

Now that I've used BugHerd, I don't think there's any going back. It's incredibly simple and effective.

Avantages

I love how simple it is to add the tag to a development site and send this to an account manager or client and collaborate with them in real time.

Inconvénients

I didn't like that the columns in the "kanban board" view were fixed, but they've since changed that and I don't have a single complaint about the product.

A key piece of software to help communication easy between clients, designers & developers.

Bugherd provides a really good project overview of what tasks still needs to be done. It is simple and intuitive to use, I took to it within the first 15 mins and haven't looked back. It's an invaluable tool for our business and has improved our process drastically, saving so much time.

Avantages

The kanban board and assign a task features are both straightforward and well laid out, super easy to start using straight away. Our team and clients have had no issues using it, which is great. Highly Recommend!

Inconvénients

I have only been using it for the past few months, but so far haven't come up against any obstacles.

Take the guesswork out of website edits

We use it for QA on all of our websites, both for our internal teams and clients.

Avantages

Internal and external stakeholders can mark directly on the page of a website any edits or bugs. No more taking screen shots and marking them up, or trying to read hand-written notes, or even worse decipher email feedback. All tasks are marked in the backend, in a task board.

Inconvénients

Doesn't work very well on mobile. Also could use some approval levels within the software.

Great Project Management Tool!

Bugherd ensures that there is little to no miscommunication on task changes or issues. It's an easy to use tool that can be picked up and understood by almost anyone.

Avantages

Easily review projects with internal teams as well as clients The front end application of a point and click directly onto the issue or change makes it easy to follow and track. The back end Kanban can be easily manipulated to show important tasks and order tasks in priorities.

Inconvénients

It can be a bit buggy on the front end of the software, with task notifications dropping off or shifting positions.

It will make your digital product even better

It's quickly become an essential part of the agency's product design workflow.

Avantages

The ability to capture issues in context and easily share with other stakeholders—while being able to track those issues until they are resolved.

Inconvénients

Not being able to capture active 'off-canvas' content, eg. drop-down menus or rollovers. An integrated screen recording feature would address this. Currently have to upload screenshots or screen recordings.

Great bug tracking tool but sometimes UI seems too crammed

Avantages

What I like about this bug tracking tool is the ability to share to clients and mark things real time in a website so we could easly spot them. You can even install their extension or add their script into their site so they could easily pinpoint UI problems in real time and submit it as a bug.

Inconvénients

As much as I like how it allows us to seamlessly track bugs from clients, when you got chock-full of bugs, the UI looks a bit crammed and comments are hard to be seen in each of the tasks.

Who knew it could be the easy

My typical process with website errors were to call my provider and then answer a million questions and sending screen shots. Wait a few days for a response. Those days are over.

Avantages

Ease of use. Simplicity. Time savings. No more emailing back and forth or long drawn out phone calls.

Inconvénients

I have absolutely nothing negative to write.

The best review software for clients

Avantages

I searched through every website review product I could think of and BugHerd came out on top. The ease of use for clients and non-technical users sold us. It also works seamlessly with or without the browser plug-in.

Inconvénients

The only negative about BugHerd is that I would prefer if the seats were per project and not on the overall account. We have different account people for different projects and I can't add who I need for each project so I find myself adding and removing people regularly.

Avantages

Finally, something that allows you to track bugs and issues without having to hunt them down or wait to be informed of them.

Inconvénients

Minor irritations that are based on personal preference rather than an actual issue.

website deployment

It was easy to use, simply hovering over subject matter allowed me to drill in exactly where I wanted to address issues for my developer located on the other side of the world.

Avantages

Targeted communication of website changes needed to be made, allowed for screen shots to provide more clarity.

Inconvénients

I have no negative feedback on the BugHerd product.

Simple and efficient way to flag dev. errors

Avantages

BugHerd makes it really simple for multiple members of a team to go through a new site, flag any errors and assign someone to address them. Because it is so user-friendly, people outside of the dev team can provide feedback as well.

Inconvénients

Sometimes it can be difficult to select the exact area that you're trying to comment on. Can be a bit laggy at times.

Great tool for website design and modifications

I used this tool with a website design team - the entire project was completed remotely. BugHerd allowed us to bypass the need for email and lengthy explanations of changes that I wanted to see while in the design process. Instead, I could click on the exact thing I wanted changed and add commentary to that piece. It also served to manage tasks. As the team made the changes, they could check them off. If they were unclear, they could message with me on that task to gain clarity.

Overall, this was a great, simple, powerful tool that streamlined providing feedback to my web design team.

Ability to communicate between Commercial department to Software Development team.

Inconvénients

Inability to group similar logs (multiple users that may log the same issue) - ability would also help prioritization.

BugHerd Review

Avantages

BugHerd makes it super easy to submit QA tickets and see them in one place. In addition, it's super easy to collaborate with others on these tickets and take actions. I really enjoy the snapshot feature and ability to put a ticket on a mockup itself.

Inconvénients

BugHerd could be a little mroe visually engaging and interesting in its design approach.
