We were using plesk on an Azure Virtual Machine to manage our server and host our websites. It is a powerful tool that allows you to host websites in just a few clicks.

Inconvénients

Occasionally, servers crash with plesk when a php update has failed. Plesk does the necessary to fix it in error but we are forced to do an action by hand

The admin interface is easy to use for my team and clients.

Inconvénients

There was a small learning curve for new team members used to Cpanel but I think everyone likes working with Plesk.

Avantages

Relatively easy to handle since many otherwise difficult tasks can be done with a relatively simple user interface.

Inconvénients

Always a bit slow in implementing strong security, like HSTS took years to implement, to name just an example. So you always have to tinker about if you want to have it as secure as possible.

Also, nowerdays almost every new feature gets implemented as seperate addon you have to pay a monthly fee for. They simply want to make money with everything.

The plesk interface is a pleasure to use and very intuitive

Avantages

Plesk is hosting management software that is often used with shared hosting companies. It is probably the cheapest version that has a simple GUI. You seem to run into less bugs than with some of the free alternatives and its a lot cheaper than cPanel per month. Easily deal with your databases, files, and create ftp accounts, install software, and keep a track of traffic statistics.

Inconvénients

It is not as powerful as the industry leading WHM/Cpanel.

Avantages

I have used Plex for several years now. It allows you to manage hosts on both Linux and Windows easily. It's much. better than Cpanel and other ancient looking tools

1. Reliable functionality - doesn't run out of memory when trying to work with large files

Inconvénients

Would love functionality to manage these servers on the go (mobile web or apps)

Avantages

The update to the interface resolved a lot of the issues with regard to information and the layout is much more friendly to new users. The application of SSL certificates is also a lot simpler and restoring and mainitaining fiels within a website is much easier, either with the file management interface or the FTP access point.

Inconvénients

The backups can take a while and the recovery process can be an issue. It is not so easy to take remote backups and space issues can cause problems if you run out before a backup can complete and you will have no notification that this has failed unless you are monitoring the site.

Avantages

Plesk is an incredibly amazing hosting control panel and platform for the IT admins, developers, content managers and digital agencies. There are a lot of Plesk extensions available, that really extend the functionality of your platform.

Inconvénients

All options of Plesk are really easy to use and understand, I never found any kind of issue during the use of this amazing control panel. For me the plesk is perfect, without any kind of cons.

Plesk is the best hosting control panel I have ever used.
Having docker and node.js features really helped me in managing several different website needs in just 1 server.
There is also a Wordpress Toolkit that is very helpful in managing many wordpress-based websites

Inconvénients

Updating php, mysql, and some components to the custom version is rather difficult in this hosting control panel.

Avantages

This software is good for hosting management on the linux platforms. The pricing is reasonable and seems stable. Overall works for what we're doing

This software is very resource intensive. It's a learning curve from cpanel, however it's much more stable.

We migrated to plesk so we could automate several manual tasks related to a mail server and it has exceeded our expectations. After the initial configuration there has been minimal maintenance required to keep things running. Would highly recommend over the other options.

Without having the knowledge of a full system's administrator, Plesk offers us the ability to go in and execute administrative tasks. For example, I'm in the system constantly checking out the logs and database. Albeit, we can do this via command prompt, but with the gui interface and layout, the tools are easy to find. The server can be daunting, but I'm glad that a software like Plesk is around to help us navigate through the difficulties of it all.

Inconvénients

The updates seem to contradict each other sometimes and the layout is not intuitive. Often I'm asking support where to find something that I've used for some time.

i use plesk web SE edition for about 4 years and never lookback for alternative, after some running free trial on obsidian, surprisely i'm very recommended about the UI/US File Manager feature, its more better than competitor like cPanel. Everything that i wanted to see and functionality has been there, and also it's very recommended to new user that never use any of file manager interface in several plesk edition.
