Avantages

Ecwid offers the best social commerce for Instagram, Facebook, and Google shopping. With its in-built integration, you can in no time showcase your products on your social network platforms. Ecwid offers a lot of channels but the social ones are a stand-out for me.

Inconvénients

Ecwid's SEO is not as robust as its competitors like Shopify. For your site to be discovered on Google search with just its SEO won't cut it. You will need to push more SEO towards your connected blog, and perhaps other third parties services you have connected to your store.

Puoi integrare il tuo negozio in Joomla!, Wordpress, Wix, Weebly o qualsiasi altro sito tu preferisca. Ecwid si integra perfettamente in qualsiasi sito web.

Inconvénients

Le funzionalità integrate per i canali di vendita (eBay, Amazon, Welmart e Google Shopping) agevolano la sincronizzazione dei prodotti ma il loro costo mensile (sottoscrizioni), più la commissione sulla vendita, riducono notevolmente i tuoi guadagni. Questi applicativi non sono supportati dal team di Ecwid ma dai relativi sviluppatori. Inoltre, per il tuo sito web, le opzioni di configurazione dei layout non sono sufficienti.

Ecwid is a robust platform for the newcomer with pretty much everything streamlined to get your website up and running in no time.

Inconvénients

Ecwid might make you have a website up and running in no time but that means it is going to look like a template available to anybody, so you might end up having a copycat website somewhere. For seasoned developers/designers this is not your platform.

Avantages

Ecwid's an approachable product. The website is well laid out, the offering well-described, the pricing clear and the free version allows you to set up a store with up to 10 products, which is very generous. Third parties have also done a good job of integrating Ecwid with RapidWeaver, a web design program.

Inconvénients

There's nothing about Ecwid in particular, just the complexities of setting up a store that has to handle multiple shipping options to different countries, whilst complying with different privacy and ecommerce regulations. On the whole I've been very satisfied with Ecwid.

Easy to setup the first time. You quickly get a feel for how the system works, and how you can change pictures text and all that has to do with presenting your product.

Inconvénients

The fine print and all the practical details of for instance shipping and VAT is not very intuitive. It furthermore is very difficult to control this when you go from a paid to a free version which keeps you in a locked position when you want to shift. This is true if you want to scale down your shop for a while.

Shipping options are confusing and ambiguous. I would like to see less frequent feel-good emails from the vendor and instead a more business-like approach with a user's manual. Those back-slapping messages get annoying when you are having difficulty understanding how to make the store work the way you want it to.

A lot of different features, which you can use to really go into your customers buying habits. Good integration with Stripe as well.

Is a bit complex. We needed a really simple webshop solution, but with Ecwid we got a pretty complex one which could do more than we needed.

Ecwid is too expensive and some must-have features are not available on lower plans. It would be better if customizable themes are available for free.
