Excellent software

Our small company found this software to be a vital tool in our daily operations. Its interface is easy to use and is perfect for small teams to collaborate. Assigning tasks to people is easy and we are getting a lot more done since we started using Genius Project software.

Robust project management software

Provides a robust way to keep track of project, ideas, and manage resources; however, working in higher ed, we were looking for more of a ticketing solution. For an independent marketing/advertising firm, this would be a great tool to utilize with access to reports and dashboards to gain insight to projects and their statuses.

Very intuitive

I have seen many Project Management tools. Genius Project surpasses most. I have used Jira and they are excellent but it is extremely expensive. Genius Project is excellent for small to medium company. The product it self descriptive and easy to learn.

Using this for PPM processes. Including some gantts fonctions. Everything was quite ok so far.
Upgrade was done in our test environment.

Genius PM review

I used the product for the 1st time because it was in use at a new company I joined. I had previously used MS Project. I liked that the Genius product was a SAAS solution, but it missed the integration I was used to in MS Project.

Genius project in Canada

Reporting feature and working with aggregated project data is a challenge in Genius Project. Reports need customization above the iff-the-shelf features along with an in-house Genius admin resource to develop/customize reporting.

A good way to maintain communication with your team members

With Genius Project it is so easy to find the perfect person for a specific function because you can filter your search by factors such as experience, skills and availability. You will receive a reduced list of candidates and you can make the final selection.

Genius Project is also a good way to maintain communication with your team members. Since we use Genius Project everyone is involved in the project and is able to stay in touch from any computer or mobile device.

Most of this web based online project management system is intuitive but a little bit difficult to navigate. But once you are familiarized with all the features and tools it is a well-rounded application.

Trialed this software: Impressed but overpriced

I trialed Genius Project to see if it could meet my company's needs for project management for our new product development. Overall I was impressed with what the software could do, how helpful the CS was and how it could integrate with other software we already have. That said, as a small business with somewhat limited needs on the project management front this was too expensive for us to move forward with.

Bottom Line: If all you do it Project Management it is probably worth the money no matter your company size, if it is a part-time thing, look for cheaper alternatives.

Had a chance to run with this in previous job at panasonic

I had certainly expected it to be buggy as with most notes backend, It did prove me wrong. I found the CRM portion quite useful and would have appreciated more homogeneity with other notes based PM software but given an opportunity I would roll it the red carpet in my current organization as well. Hope and wish that it stands up to big players like Salesforce and Peregrine.

I was impressed from the first time I used this application. I am an avid user of all project management software as I've managed PMOs throughout my 25 year professional career. The application is end-user friendly and the navigation is not complex so easy to learn.

Works Well, But Not For Me

This application works well for what it is. It just wasn't what our team was looking for. We needed more of a task management tool (less project management), that allowed for flexibility in custom fields and linking tasks across projects.

Genius review of Mine

As one of the 2 Genius admins for my company I found Genius to be a useful tool. I liked being able to customize the reports and email notifications.

Held My Attention Long Enough to Make a Difference

I have a postgraduate diploma in project management and I have struggled to find software that could interest me longer than 2 minutes. Genius is about the first that meets my needs and is user friendly. If any software can hold me as long as Genius has done I know it has to be good. The age of plowing through clunky and hard to engage with stuff is over.

Top-notch product that delivers on what it says it will do. Hopefully more add-ins are to come to enhance functionality even further

Idea good, potential for improving functionality

Hello,

we are using Genius now for more than 4 years. The support is good an the people are helpful.
But the range of functions is limited at some point. And sometimes I wonder, how functions are implemented. The use is not always that intuitive and they are not always implemented consequently to the end (ex.: connections between tasks and assignments).
But the new planner has potential.

Pretty Darn Good

Genius Project is the most powerful project management software I've used to date. I use it for project selection, planning, staffing, execution and tracking.

Great piece of software

Useful tool

Easy to start using, little bit lacking on information on how to do the more advanced stuff. Would be handy to have more case studies and concrete examples on how to use.

Good Portfolio Product for the Price

I was impressed with Genius Project. This product should definitely be on your short list of PM tools!

Overly Complicated but great functionality

The gang chart was overly complicated to use and found the setting up of tasks more complicated than it needed to be. Had all of the functionality we were looking for.

School experience

When I was researching for my school project about the project management software, I listed out genius project as one of the top software and reached out to them, tried the demo and listed the pros, cons which was very helpful for the school project.

Good software for managing projects at an enterprise level. User experience could use some updates that would help for ease of use.

Great product, just can't afford it

I tried Genius and liked it but my company could not afford it. It had Gantt charts and everything else I was looking for.

Sleek and Useful

Capterra has a really nice user interface that makes the work feel seamless and a bit closer to using a social media site. The biggest qualms is pricing for the product but if you can get around that then it's a great product.

Decent software - lots of features

This tool has a lot of abilities and features. It has some good integrations as well but the UI isn't very attractive, to me at least.

Expensive but feature rich

We ended up not staying with this product and choosing an alternative, but from an IT perspective this product was the top of the line. Feature rich, customizable, easy to navigate and read.

Impressed

I was impressed by this product. It definitely is worth investing in. As a project manager, I'm always looking for ways to streamline processes, communicate efficiently with my project team, etc.

Genius project is a great project manager, very complete and usefull. This product is not dedicated for small enterprise but if your manage a midlle or more society, this tools is very cool !

Ingenious Genius Project

I reviewed Genius Project after using Microsoft's P M sideward and found it much easier to understand with easier to find functions. Beautifully done!
