a once great product - until management became greedy
I will be cancelling with Cerberus and will never use them again - I do not support any company that believes a 430% increase in ok.
Avantages
The software was easy to use - did what it said and it was priced well in the market.
Inconvénients
Management decided to increase the price of the software by 430% !! - from $289 to $1536 - What used to be affordable software has now become insanely priced. It clearly shows that making money is all that is important to

One Stop Secure File Collaboration Service
Setting up user accounts is easy and file permission is easy to map at setup.
Avantages
Active directory users are uploaded automatically when synchronized with the domain.
Easily managed and basic restrictions are set for user access with secure data transfer.
If the SSL certificate is not valid, the SFTP url will be down and not accessible.
Inconvénients
Too expensive and License price is not fixed, always increasing every day.
There is no File approval process before users are allowed to download files.

A powerful and reliable FTP Server
Avantages
Cerberus FTP Server is a powerful file transfer software which support various protocols, such as FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP and HTTPS, which have, by definition, secure layers to keep files save and encrypted.It also supports two-factor authentication, granting another layer of protection to data in transit.
Inconvénients
Free trial only allows for 25 day use and no free license is available. Standard license supports most features, but can be coasty for low budget organizations.

Cerberus is a good, secure solution at a good price
Avantages
the software allows for the creation of upload/download templates caled groups that can be applied to new users to make new account creation uniform, security permission will be identical for all users in that group. the advanced server security settings allow for disabling/enabling TLS 1.1, 1.2; as well as FIPS 140-2 cipher suites with some ease in the GUI.
Inconvénients
The software uses a Windows .dll version of log 4j that limits the ability to set log rotation - max is 14, 30 days would be better. the ability to set this in the GUI would be a welcome addition.

Best FTP server
It did its job and is a very versatile software packet
Avantages
Ease of installation and it contains all monitoring and security tools and is well maintained
Inconvénients
some of the documents are only community supported

Easy to use, fully functional FTP server
Avantages
this was an easy to use and manage product, and has great security features, such as IP blocking and permabanning based on easy to define rules
Inconvénients
It would be nice to have geo location for IP addresses again, I recall an older version had this

FIPS Validated Crypto Module
Overall, super positive. You guys honored a feature request from me and I found that whole process to be engaging, which I find to be atypical when compared to other Software providers.
Avantages
I believe this was the only available FIPS validated crypto module software. So , kudos to you for that.
What was a pleasant surprise is your company's support. Really fantastic. Shout out to Ian!
Inconvénients
certain features are wildly annoying to implement, such as managing an LDAP user's groups :(

This is a great product and awesome service. They also have an active development team!
Secure easy to manage file sharing solution
Avantages
Features, auditabillity security support responsive development team. I belive this is under priced.
Inconvénients
You have to treat AD user management differently than native account management. Which is understandable. However i would love to see adfs or azure integration.

Easy to deploy SFTP Server
Moving external file sharing from an insecure manner to a more secure solution using Cerberus' SSH/SFTP options. Connection is seemless for our external clients.
Avantages
SSH and SFTP Support, advanced logging and regular updates coupled with an easy to deploy made this a great solution to migrate away from an old insecure FTP solution.
Inconvénients
Some administrative console features are difficult to initially locate. Status summary page clears after application update.
