It works. Fast and on Mac OS, Windows and Linux. Integrated nicely into both Visual Studio Code (PC, Mac) and Visual Studio (PC).
Code compare. Merge. No problems.

Inconvénients

It starts to eat disk space and 50Gbyte gone the other day. Some more integrated cleaning would be great.

Github is easy to use and has a friendly user interface. As a software engineer I enjoy interacting with it when merging PRs.

The most I like about Github is Repository CRUD. I always use Github for my projects and create repository on Github and collaborate with my colleagues. It's really awesome. My working process is easy and fast due to Github.

The least I like about Github is Git merging. It was stuck something when I want to merge with my colleagues's branches like rebase. I can't push and pull at that time. I think it needs to fix it later.

Uso github con kali linux mi trovo molto bene, attraverso i social più famosi come instagram posso vedere i loro proggetti, condividendoli con le altre persone.

Usandolo frequentemente posso dire che tanti creatori quando inseriscono tool per kali linux dove io ci lavoro in ambiente ethical hacking, non aggiornano le descrizione per l'installazione dei tool, nella descrizione ci sono riportati i passaggi per l'installazione ma quando apri il terminale su kali si presentano errori perchè con l'avanzare delle versioni in linux, sono obsoleti alcuni comandi questo vale per tutti i creatori di tool presenti i github, sarebbe meglio installare l'ultima versione rilasciata dal sito, e testare il funzionamento su l'ultima release. Non lasciando le descrizione con le relative istruzioni per l'installazione per le versioni del 2022 di kali linux, vorrei ci fosse un pò di impegno da parte dei creatori dei tool, ogni volta devo imbattermi in forum per risolvere il problema di installazione.

GitHub, integrato a TortoiseGit, fornisce una piattaforma dove gestire i rilasci software in maniera veloce. E' molto semplce creare dei branch dal software di rilascio principale (main stream).

Inconvénients

A volte fallisce i rilasci delle porzioni di codice, e non è chiaro il motivo. Inoltre c'è bisogno di un forte training per imparare ad usarlo, il che richiede del tempo.

Coming from a on-premise source control manager and having Github solution with full integrated CI/CD solution and IA like Copilot you cant ask for more but even so you have option to script everything with Terraform, for us was the next step and right now is the best decision we made.

Nothing, has everything we need but even so we must use more features on the road.

Github cahnged the authentication mechanism to commit using only tokens not from the passwords, so a new user might face difficulties.
There's not much regulation in the github which might can be used for wrongful purpose. The CI/CD as github action needs more updates, also due complex yaml syntax it can be difficult to use.

is kind of hard at first because is under development but now you can say at least, the least that will grow and for everybody but is that is far away from paid software and not together! we all need to work and sometimes is hard to achieve fast and easy without workers and timing like companies do.

I think more instructions would have been nicer, I was deploying a website on the github.io and the thing is their instructions are so brief it is un-understandable, and you would need someone to explain it to you, and I hope for in the future to have the ability to deploy dynamic things on github.io because I use react and I can't deploy that project there.

Me gusta el poder tener a disposición diferentes repositorios para implementar a mis proyectos. Además, con GitHub puedo crear mi propio repositorio, colaborar con colegas, y lo mejor de todo manteniendo todas las revisiones.

Inconvénients

Llevo mucho tiempo trabajando con GitHub y hasta el momento no he tenido problemas mayores. Por ese motivo lo recomiendo mucho.
