Absolutely the best way to share sensitive data. We use it for audits and invoices with social and money on them.

Gave me a little grief logging in for a period of time and it took quite a while to get the issue resolved.

ShareFile is one of the best platforms to share large files with your clients, vendors and even internally within your company. It allows you to organize files in different folders. To share a file, users have to upload the files into the right folder and then the user has options to give access to the files wither via a web-link or you can share an entire folder with a group of people. Files uploaded on the Sharefile account can be accessed seamlessly from any endpoint including a mobile app, desktop or web-browser. In terms of security, Sharefile is equipped with two-factor authentication and single sign-on feature. Other important features include integration with third-party software such as office 365, Microsoft outlook and Gmail via plugins which allows real-time co-editing and co-authoring of a document.

Sharefile subscriptions come with very different pricing options with varied features. So, if you go with a basic plan you would only get basic features like storage and sharing. Other plans are a little bit costly and include features like Office 365 co-editing, Gmail and Outlook plugins, encryptions, and electronic signatures. The set of features in the Sharefile mobile app is limited and allows only basic functions. Integration with third-party software such as embedded video player, Image viewer can be improved.

Avantages

ShareFile has a plethora of tools to help you backup and share documents. The new drive letter access available in Windows Explorer is fast, just like any other drive on your computer. This makes it easy to save and share documents. The google mail sharing extension also allows you to quickly create a link to a document with an expiration date.

Inconvénients

Website features change and there is little communication about what is being updated. On rare occassions, there are problems accessing files due to a database error or a lack of website response that may require help from ShareFile. Lastly, files generally have an automatic expiration date when they should auto-delete in 365 days, but sometimes do not.

This product was a part of a bundle deal we purchased with Podio. Podio was the original program we went after, but when we realized this would be part of the deal, we were very pleased. Before we had been storing files on everyone dropbox and google drive accounts, and it became tedious to keep up with all of the logins and which account the files were on. Now, all of our cloud files are in one place. It is very easy to share large files with other companies or our field crews through sharefile. It also has an addin for outlook that will automatically generate a link if the attachments in the email are too large (user defined size), which is fantastic. It takes out the guessing game of, hmm....I wonder if this email will go through or not.

Having used this product for over a year now, at least weekly, I have not had any issues with the software. We did not shop around too much for cloud storage services, however, I cannot speak for certain to the price and features of the competition out there.

It is internal to its own software. I can get a shareable link that is say not linked to my google drive. Thus a better for business shared format.

I wish the notifications for files were a little better. It is hard to tell when you receive the file.

I like that this software is designed to operate within a virtual Xenapp environment and places no physical strains on the servers or physical memory.

I don't like that office365 is a required add if you use this from outside of the citrix environment. I understand licensing but it is still inconvenient. Also the mobile app is not very robust.

Sharing confidential information is risky when you're using email. Sharefile allows the ease and efficiency of email, but with the safety and confidentiality of a secure server.

I have found no negatives in using this product. I have received NO negative feedback from others I have share files with either.

Sharefile is so easy to use. It allows me to send/request large files from colleagues and clients on a daily basis and retains them for a period determined by me. It links to my email making this even easier.

Over the last seven years using Sharefile I have not had a complaint. It's quick and simple to learn and teach.

It's a way to ensure alignment across schools because all files are stored in one place. Schools can share with each other by accessing each other's files.

I haven't run into any significant cons (I've only used the software for three months). I've never had an issue with file size, but this may be due to the fact that I'm primarily uploading unit guides (30 page Word documents, for example). I've never tried to upload a video, and I'd be interested to see if the software has the capacity to do so.

Very good product especially with the recent changes in data saving in Europe(GDPR) you can share files using this via email for example and the file is protected when it reaches the recipient as only recipient can open the file, if same email with the file is forwarded to third party it wont be available. You can sign and use it as a toll in MS Outlook

It is the great platform that helps me in sharing documents with others in reliable manners. It has good security system to secure each and every file of my concern. I really like the way this product works.

The security of this program makes it suitable for business processes when you need to share confidential documents. Users can access stored documents from the website and download them if necessary. Users can also create documents and upload them to Sharefile for others with necessary permissions to view and or change. Users also have the ability to create their own sub-folders to organize files they view, edit, or create.

Changes to documents are not real-time updates as with web-based programs. So only one person can update a document and then save their changes to Sharefile. If more than one person downloads and edits a file, the revisions must be merged into one document.

We love the flexibility that Sharefile gives us to quickly access documents from our field employees at month-end and quarter-end. We simply open up the desktop icon, filter through each of our agency month-end folders, and drag and drop whatever files we need from them to our desktops.

Everything about this software is super easy and there's really nothing I can think of that I dislike.

Amazing product that helps us a lot in the business we do especially with the GDPR. Everything is safe and secure, we can send files throughout the company and also to our clients with limited access and expiration date. I love how it is compatible with MS Outlook, you can protect a file with a simple click when you are sending email. You can also use it as a cloud to upload information and documents to make a backup and everything!

what i like most about this software, is that it is a very secure program, and it allows me to access my client's database to invoice them, and the information is available immediately.
