Easy software to work with and great customer service
It easily gets files to and from the office and field with the mark up made. It stores all our files for easy use.
Avantages
It is easy to use. It works well for what we are doing. And customer service is usually pretty fast about getting bugs fixed.
Inconvénients
I wish it wasn't so expensive but I guess it is worth it when the developers work with you on making it a better tool to use.

Simple, Must-Have Tool
Avantages
Simplicity. I've used many other programs and coming from a CAD background this is the least "fluffy," with features I do not utilize personally and gimmicky data-driven programs that MS Excel can already do. ArcSite is what I need to share and sell ideas effectively.
Inconvénients
Measuring tool can be tricky, but there are work-arounds.

Must have tool for construction industry
Arcsite made creating on-site diagrams and drawings a breeze, and drastically cut down the time it took to do initial drafting, saving hundreds of hours a year
Avantages
ArcStite is extremely easy to learn and use and requires very little skill to operate efficiently. The customer support team is fantastic, and was eager to know about my experience with the tool and what they could do to improve.
Inconvénients
ArcSite is only available as a subscription service and doesn't have the option to purchase the tool outright.

Great Program, Versatile for Many Use Cases
Avantages
The ability to have it in the guys hands in the field where they can make adjustments to drawings in real time. This sames time, money, and errors. We also love the import and export functionality.
Inconvénients
It would be nice to have a more robust portfolio of pre created shapes/objects and the ability to port them.

Best basic mobile CAD
Over all experience has been really good. The customer support has been a huge help and he has added many features that have been beneficial to what my company uses this app for.
Avantages
Portability and ease of use, and customer support is fantastic!
Inconvénients
Lack of options:
- snap-to
- auto fill
- repeat of item around a shape
- odd shape(oval eclipse etc.)
- most of all: changing a line size will sometimes create a glitch that will freeze the app or change so many other measurements because of what its connected to.

Very good program needs

Avantages
It is very easy to use. I like the photos and that you are able to measure and make marks on them.
Inconvénients
I don't like the uploading and downloading that everything separates into its own page. Needs more objects

Great Software from a Flexible Company
Avantages
The software is very easy to use. You can import PDFs, background images, or start drawing from scratch. I perform a lot of onsite lighting audits and ArcSite has really helped to streamline our audit process and insure that all parties are on the same page regarding the type and quantities of existing lighting. There have been a few features that I felt like the software could use, and the ArcSite team was more than willing to entertain and actually implement into the program.
Inconvénients
I do not use all of the built-in functionality of the software, so I feel like the price is a bit high.

it's a good product, very simple for take measures on worksite, perfect for begin layout... or transfer to Cad application... there is a lot advantage directly inside it.
Avantages
parametric design in the library, functional and easy to use, good looking interface
Inconvénients
telemeter laser are not simply to use with it.. and polygonal lines are not easy to use, there is a problem when you point to longer on the screen, the line change to a curve.... you have to cancelled it for continue..

Overall great program
Avantages
Easy to setup and implement with very little downtime. Easy to upload new files into the cloud and exporting is also easy.
Inconvénients
The pricing for this seems a bit high. Great for our productivity and everything but better bulk pricing for multiple users would be best.

it was been a great time saver and helped me to stay more organized.
As said in the earlier comments, it has improved my communication of my team.
Avantages
I has removed 90% of my paper/printer use and has increase my ability to communicate with me team, both in accuracy and with color coded information etc.
Inconvénients
everything for the most part is great. there are just a few things that I wish it could add, I have communicated this, and I know that some of these things are limitations of the ipad system.

Great product

I like how intuitive it is and simple to use and understand. I never got any formal training on how to learn the software since it was so easy to use. Works well with other applications too!

Great software with many toola
Overall it’s a great program that’s I recommend anyone looking into drawing plans for jobs and or in my case giving estimates

I enjoy the ease and accuracy it gives for my plan drawings
Inconvénients
I do not like that it does not offer a feature to do even the minimal editing on photos cropping etc

User experience of arcsite
Good experience for changing to paperless and can file all draft drawing in computer for easy review.
Avantages
I like most is to take photos as annotation in the drawing so that I can easily relate the photos to the photo location.
Inconvénients
1) Not all photos in arcsite can be found in ipad Photo app.
2) No slide bar for scale up and scale up the drawing. I wear gloves so that I need to remove the glove when I need to change the drawing scale.

Great design APP
This allow me to go from pencil and paper to a I pad on site. It made my job easier and faster.

Simple to use yet has deep feature set
Avantages
It is very straightforward. We don't use much in the way on the advanced features, just basic line drawings for our paperwork. But it is exactly what we had been looking for.
Inconvénients
The app will randomly sign me out of my account. It enters a demo mode every so often brings up a prompt to show me what the icons do. Neither of these are huge inconveniences but I figured they are worth mentioning.

Hobbyist review
My budget for design software is small and mainly for hobby use so if for instance Fusion 360 was available for iPad I would cancel all other software.
Avantages
Ease of doing simple sketches. Ability to do sketching in unique ways.
Inconvénients
Lack of features for more complicated drawings. I like to do designs on my iPad but am getting into 3D more so I have to use other programs.

communication with customers has become more efficient because now i can show them a detailed drawing.

I like that files can be stored online with the cloud. I also like the ability to create custom shapes. The customer support is great as well.
Inconvénients
It is an independent program meaning it does not incorporate any other software such as Excel Sheets. Also it has little automation meaning it can show demension's but it can not total the cumulative dimensions. There is not much integration of Formula calculations.

Software is great, easy to use and perfect for onsite drawing of floor plans, etc.
I have really enjoyed using the software. I have completely replaced my hand drawings and notes with Arcsite and it had been great.
Avantages
Easy to use in field. Simple and auto insertion of doors, windows, etc. Easy to change properties.
Inconvénients
I would like to see more blocks, and most of the time the blocks that come with software are not to the right scale. No way to close polylines and hatch does not recognize closed polyline that are draw. I have to alter text size quite often even on similarly sized drawings.

I like that I have forms, drawings and photos all in one place, and to be able to scale all of these has been a real life saver.

I wish my forms were tied to a project and not a drawing. I also which that when I altered a form that it didn't alter all my previous reports.

ArcSite Use for Natural Gas Pipeline Industry
It provides a lot of value for making markups and drawing changes on the fly.
Avantages
It's fairly easy to use for simple drawings, being able to scale pdf drawings for taking measurements and making markups is very useful
Inconvénients
The snaps can be cumbersome at times, especially when trying to snap to midpoints. It also tends to lag pretty badly when drawings become complex. It is also very difficult to draw an accurate ellipse, which is something I really need to be able to do.

I love the simplicity of use and how I can export in dxf right from my tablet. No need for a computer.

I wish I could draw 3D so I wouldn't have to use another program to do that with. Also when I get a drawing that has too much detail everything slows down.

When viewing pictures after I load them, I can't swipe to see the next one in the camera icon. It takes several steps to view the next picture.

Window and door detailed properties
Please read the Cons section for the idea that would definitely improve the experience with the software.
Avantages
The best part is to export it to DWG and have everything in high quality.
Inconvénients
Can't give any properties to the window and door sizes besides the width. It would be nice to have a window pop up after the placement of the door or window to put in the width, height, and sill height. And after it is done to show near the window or the door

i measure homes for cabinets, remodel and new. its a good program and gets the job done
quicker measures on the job and easier to read numbers ( ala no handwriting)
saves time and therefore money

i like how easy it is to import drawings to the website. i like how easy it is to draw a basic room plan

the forms that get created need to download with the drawings like the photes you take do

Overall ArcSite is a valuable tool in my industry.
Avantages
This software is very easy to learn. Quick and easy to use.

The copy or trace feature is hard to use. It would be nice if it traced better.

Complete cad package
Great for all aspects of cad, from editing a poor quality photo to a finished pdf. Couldn’t operate without this app!

Intuitive usage, all aspects of marking drawings come together seamlessly for a speedy accurate set of drawings.
Inconvénients
N/a there are no downsides to this app and customer support is excellent.

Quick to Pickup
While I would recommend ArcSite for someone in construction to try, I don't know if it is the best tool for planners and I'm not sure if I would renew my subscription. The customer service I have experienced has been great and the software works great on my tablet with no crashes, so definitely check it out if you're interested.
Avantages
I've primarily been using ArcSite for parcel site plans and some smaller personal projects. I don't believe I am using it for what it was primarily designed for, but it has been a useful visual tool for a few cases that saved time compared to drawing by hand.
Inconvénients
I don't like how the layer feature is part of the upgraded package. I feel like the software would be much easier to use with it available and I would be able to justify the price tag better.

I really like that i can measure in real time and create drawings based on those dimensions. Being able to draw this in real time helps me when i am talking with customers regarding projects and what we can accomplish
Inconvénients
It would be nice to incorporate a title block more simply, it can work now with some guidance.

Nicely done.

Clunky software
Avantages
Drawing shapes with the software with the recognition tool was easy to use when first starting the app.
Inconvénients
This software is a disappointment. It is not easy to take measures and transfer your data when and where you need it. Needs a lot of work on the bugs. The app crashes a lot. It's not good to use for to collaborate important data with your team. I would look into a better app like plan grid.

Great app. The best option in my opinion if you work in environmental, construction or engineering work.

Avantages
I love how easy it is to make a simple floor plan. Also the ability to display exact measurements and dimensions. Super helpful when needing something on the spot when talking with clients or coming up with a project scope.
Inconvénients
No dislikes at the moment. Any problems I have, the support team has been very responsive.

EASY, HELPFUL, STREAMLINED
Avantages
It's easy to use, customizable, and highly portable on iPad. Projects are easy to collaborate on & share.
Inconvénients
The iPad app often crashes. It seems to sometimes have trouble uploading drawings - we have lost entire portions of drawings before.

This is a very useful tool and time saver
Avantages
I'm a landscaper and design sprinkler systems. I like the ability to create reusable objects for my designs. I also like the ability to measure the area.
Inconvénients
It would be nice to create textures and fill in custom shapes. I design landscapes and it would be nice to differentiate grass from rock beds, etc.

Great app - just FAR too expensive for what i need it for
I started using it, after getting an initial pricing discount. Overall, i enjoyed the app but as I used it more I came to the quick determination I wasn't going to pay the subscription for a year 2 - so I stopped using it altogether.
Avantages
I love how it works with the iPad - and overall has a lot of potential.
Inconvénients
Price - the software is ridiculously overpriced.
