Yodeck est un systeme tres ouvert et dans le cadre de notre projet c est un des systemes qui a ete retenu. Nous sommes en periode de tests et de selection et avons de tres bon retours

It is easy to use. The installation is simple, and it has all the features you need. Moreover, since it is user-friendly, even non-experts can easily access most of its functions.

Inconvénients

The availability of desired features may be limited depending on the device's performance. For example, the Raspberry Pi 3B+ tends to run slowly. It is important to adhere to the recommended specifications.

I have been using Yodeck for a few weeks now. It was purchased for an announcements board for our church and so far it has been great and works great with our Samsung The Frame display. The scheduling of on/off is a great tool for us as well as the content display schedules.

I do not know. I haven't got that far yet. So far no complaints.

We only required a single instance, and already having a Raspberry Pi it was the most cost effect solution.

Avantages

It's pretty versatile. There are a lot of options. We use images in a playlist, and another playlist that switches between a calendar and a schedule that come from our church management system, Breeze. We also have a ticker of RSS feeds from the National Weather Service, local government, our church's blog, and news from both our denominations. This keeps the information fresh without my having to continually update it.

Inconvénients

Versatility competes with simplicity. This is true for any type of project.

It can take a while to grasp all the different objects and how they go together. Apps are created for each item on the screen, and they go in layouts or playlists. Layouts can go in playlists or playlists in layouts, but not both. A screen can have a layout or a playlist, and can have a schedule too. The schedule can also have a layout or a playlist.

My other annoyance is that the dates are in dd/mm/yyyy format. I personally prefer yyyy/mm/dd format (most significant to least) but am used to mm/dd/yyyy. I don't see a way to change this. Also, it's hard to difficult time in a date/time field.

Cost. We are a small church with a small budget.

Avantages

I love how you can integrate everyday tools and apps into your playlists and layouts. It makes creating content and marketing a breeze because of how intuituve it is. Being able to implement my Canva designs right from the Canva website without downloading/uploading is such a time saver, and it imports it right into my media library.

Inconvénients

The layout interface is a bit buggy on its own and a bit limiting when using the design tools from Yodeck itself. Copying/pasting text is a bit buggy, therefore one would pretty much have to rey on apps such as Canva or anything from the Adibe suite to design anything intricate and complex.

It's cheaper and offersI chose Yodeck over alternative products because it offers an intuitive interface, seamless integration with tools like Canva, and cost-effective pricing. Additionally, Yodeck’s customizable branding ensures a consistent look across all displays, and the affordable hardware setup with Raspberry Pi makes it a great value compared to more expensive alternatives like BrightSign or Screenly.

The thing I like the most of Yodeck is how easy it is to use and to try it out with no hidden payments or requirements.

A con I found, is that there are several features that are not available on other OS that the software supports.

The ability to have one screen for free really helps as we are non profit and funding is VERY limited

Avantages

It's easy to use. The free options give full features for a single screen, the prices for adding extra screens are reasonable too. The solution works flawlessly using the Yodeck app on an Amazon Fire Stick, which means no special equipment is needed ... as long as you have a Wifi connection available.

If you pay for a year at a time, Yodeck even give you a free Raspberry Pi player.

So far, I've only pointed Yodeck at webpages which I maintain and fed it still images, but it can also handle video, audio and other sources if you opt for a the premium or enterprise plan.

I've only used the free and basic plans. Yodeck and other providers have fuller featured options, but the extra options came with complexity and expense and in my case simply weren't needed.

I had previously used a Raspberry Pi as one of my Yodeck players, which worked perfectly once set up, but the initial set up was fiddly. The process may have improved since then, however.

Access to the main features without payment allowed easy testing. And as we could use already available equipment, a Fire Stick, we could get started at zero cost. Pricing was a major factor as we're using it as part of a not-for-profit event. Being able to upgrade and downgrade our package between the plans means we never need to pay for features we aren't using.

Avantages

Yodeck is one of the best digital signage applications we have used for our branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. We are controlling 2 monitors in the building using the software to control the content very easily. The support has been top notch, if we have a rare problem.

Inconvénients

The only thing we haven't liked about the software is that we don't have more monitors to use with it.

Yodeck is the most flexible digital signage solution ever. With their addition of the web based players, literally any screen can become a digital sign (for a price). I also like that I can build my own rpi and bring it into the ecosystem fairly easily. The customization for playlists, layouts, schedules, etc., is just ridiculous. There are so many options to literally have whatever you want.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the dashboard UI is a little sluggish, clunky. For example, sometimes with saving certain videos it seems like the encoding process doesn't start. I have to delete it and reupload. A minor annoyance for sure. Also, pricing tier is fine, but I wish there were more bundling options (more displays at better discounts), but I guess I am cheap.

At Grove Studios, we absolutely love Yodeck's remote management capabilities. Running 24/7 self-service music studios across multiple locations means we can't always have staff on-site, but Yodeck lets us update content, schedules, and important information from anywhere. The playlist functionality has been perfect for showcasing our member spotlights, upcoming events, and membership packages.

The ease of use is outstanding - even our less tech-savvy team members picked it up quickly. Setting up new displays as we've expanded has been plug-and-play simple. We especially appreciate the scheduling features that let us program content weeks in advance, which is crucial during busy recording seasons when we're focused on supporting our musicians.

Their reliability has been rock-solid, which is essential for our operation where screens need to display critical information at all hours. The system has experienced minimal downtime in the years we've been using it.

We haven't found any other than the learning curve to use all the awesome features!
