da febbraio 2024 si è aggiornato a una versione con meno possibilità di gestire i comandi tramite icone che sono state notevolmente ridotte in numero e non personalizzabili. Reader è sostanzialmente peggiorato tanto da desiderare di tornare alla versione precedente.

Inconvénients

The worst thing about the programme is a lack of a reliable autorecovery feature. The programme also constantly crashes (it's not my laptop as I regularly deal with CAD files). The programme is often unable to cope with pdf versions of architects' plans and I constantly get the 'Out of Memory error' message.As part of my job I am often required to annotate pdfs. Over the years I have used it I have lost days worth of work due to the software randomly crashing and not saving my files (or runs out of memory when I switch from one pdf to another)I regularly deal with architect's drawings and the programme is not well adapted to drawing on pdfs or taking of measurements.Our company also has a different pdf software which is universally used for printing because it is accepted that Adobe cannot cope with printing large files.

Avantages

The only thing I like about this software is that its free to use. It doesn't provide great features unless you are paying for entire suite.

Inconvénients

This software does not support easy document markups, in file editing of text, can not be used to collaborate between multiple people. Compared to BlueBeam Revu, this software is really bad

I only need this software to open PDFs, but it is completely incapable of fulfilling this task.

As of recently, whenever opening a PDF document, it opens it in a web browser by default. I want to open it as a PDF file that I can easily send by email. Although this seems like it should be an easy fix, it is not. Originally, I was experiencing this problem on Adobe Acrobat DC. It had informed me that my trial had expired, so I then downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to try opening on there. This software also only allowed it to be opened on a browser, so I sought help on the website. I found a link that provided instructions on how to prevent PDFs from opening on a browser. However, after meticulously following the instructions step by step, I eventually reached a point where the buttons that I was told to press in the preferences tab were not even available at all for me to press on this application. I sought assistance from a chat bot which only provided me a link to seek more help. The link brought me to a customer forum, where a similar question was asked, but never answered by Adobe. I then requested to the chat bot to call a service number for help. I was brought to a page that required that I input a serial number for my product without any explanation of how I could locate such a number on my product. I have been working to solve this problem all day long and am still yet to surface a solution. I am very disappointed by how difficult this service is to use, and I will not be buying any of Adobe's products in the future.

Adobe used to be a very useful, and I dare say, FUN product to use because of its easy and simplicity.

As a lifelong Adobe user (25+ Years as a "User Lite"), I have always loved its simplicity to read PDF documents. Then suddenly in the last month, it started freezing & hanging up, needing "conversion" to some weird reading format. Some research on the internet indicted that I was one of MANY people having the same problem because it appears Adobe forgot who employs them.

The documents I used to use Adobe for can be up to 100 pages in size, and when I am looking for a detail on such a large drawing, I cannot wait hours for it "convert" with clients and contractors looking for an immediate answer.

My internet research also showed me that my Macbook has a PDF reader that I now use, and which allows me open and scan documents with ease. So it's "Ta Ta, Tanya!!" to Adobe, and I will now look for and use other software before I consider using Adobe products EVER again!!!

Acrobat Reader gives you all the basic functionality you would expect to read, fill out and sign PDF documents.

Most, if not all of the features you get from Acrobat Reader are built into most modern operating systems, browsers and even email clients. There is simply no reason why anyone should install this bloated, slow and confusing piece of software on top of that. The update process is unnecessarily complex, and there are new updates at least once a month. When selecting certain tools, you get prompted to sign into your Adobe account, only to be shown advertising for the Pro version. The Reader lacks even the most basic functionality like being able to merge several documents into one, features that you can easily find somewhere else for free. I really don't see why this piece of software still has to exist.

The only pros to using Acrobat Reader is that it has more features than other PDF readers (not that those features work).

Inconvénients

The program uses more resources than other PDF viewers, it is buggy, and its features don't work. I would rather use any other program (including browsers) to view PDFs than Adobe Acrobat.

I do not know an actual living person that I have spoken with that has praise for this version of the program. We own several licenses of previous versions and loved the interface and ease of use. The new interface is clunky and counterintuitive. Saving files now require additional steps and the interface is difficult to follow. I keep this version installed due to one or two entities that utilize this version of the program to issue docs. I also volunteer with an organization that uses this interface for some its forms. All I speak with are in constant frustration with lost data. Adobe appears to go out of the way to insure something will go wrong and the file and changes will get lost. Zooming in an out of docs and getting around is terrible. It is the Microsoft Paint of Acrobat Readers. DC is a major and colossal set back to the Acrobat line of products. I wish I could avoid its future use.

Adobe acrobat has a nice interface that appeals to the user. it has some great features for editing a pdf or creation one.

Adobe acrobat has always failed me at every corner, most of the pdfs have not opened using this application. When i wrote to understand the problem it was never address so i moved to the next pdf reader.

The ONLY reason I'd ever intentionally open a PDF in Acrobat is to take a page out, or optimize it.

Everything. The UI is weird and not well explained. Everything is hard to find. It's slow and cumbersome. The preflight panel is particularly bad. I haven't encountered a worse designed UX since 2003.

What I like the most about Acrobat is that it easily allows me to sync and view PDF’s between all my different devices without the hassle of having to copy and paste.

Acrobat Reader DC is the most complete software solution for dealing with PDF files. Whether it's digitally signing them, im- or exporting information from them, or dealing with PDFs that use some of the most obscure features of the format: This programm has got you covered.

Inconvénients

The fact that this app is the only one that fully supports every workload that PDFs can throw at you and that there are no alternatives is showing badly.
It's slow, cluttered, hard to use and behaves in unpredictable ways. It could use a serious performance and UX overhaul but since there's no motivation to do so that probably won't happen.

None. I would have to actually use the software to value it. People need to know that they are signing up for an absolute scam!

They got me to sign up for the free 7 day trial. I went to cancel when I let the subscription go past the trail date by accident. They embedded a $109 cancellation fee within the contract for the free trial. This is absurd and an absolute scam. I can’t believe I major US corporation can get away with something like this. Lesson learned read the contracts. Don’t trust a “free trial”

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to combine two files. As I was in a rush, I thought I bought a plan for one month. Then the company kept charging me. I contacted them and asked for a refund, explaining that I only needed the product for combining two PDF files. I only used it once and paid $70, so I think it was quite expensive. The support was not helpful either. Thanks
