I loved setting it up, I loved the idea, I like what I get as a hiring manager. I can see more personality than just written answers in screening.

Inconvénients

THe complaints from the interviewee side. Super stressful, starts super quick. We might not get the best candidate of someone who isn't as tech friendly.

Avantages

The software significantly cut down on the amount of time our faculty members had to spend reviewing applications. It was easy and straightforward for them to learn and use.

Inconvénients

The software wasn't as customizable as we had originally hoped. There were some aspects we wanted to remove or hide to the students that we weren't able to do; however, the Kira Talent team helped as much as they could.

Need more analytic capabilities to generate reviewer reports, ways to remind reviewers of outstanding reviews.
It would be good to be able to see a reviewer's view of the platform as an administrator, to determine where they might need support.

I greatly appreciate the flexibility it offers our prospective students. Our application process is an important part of our students' experience with our program.

The ability to tailor questions and ensure a quality process is critical. While not a dynamic conversation we find our applicants to be exceptionally candid. We're readily able to gain valuable insight on their communication skills and motivations for attending our program. It's our first year using Kira and it's been a huge help!

Inconvénients

So far, nothing. We've had few issues with reviews that didn't get logged. They were immediately addressed.

Once on a candidate page upon finishing review, no look-up for name to go to the next review and have to go back to the Applicant Listing and search for name again. More efficient if the name search bar is on every page.

Kira Talent is an amazing tool that our applicants to use to show up their authentic self. So much more can be sussed out by a video interview vs a resume or written application.

Inconvénients

The scrubbing tools could be a bit better but other than that, Kira Talent is amazing. I have not had any major issues!

I truly like how easy it is to use this software. It is extremely user friendly and it keeps all the data very organized with an easy-access feature. It even gives you a summary page to facilitate the selection process.

Inconvénients

I have never had any problems with this software, the only one time that I have seen any kind of complaints was when refreshing some of the questions, but it was an easy fix.

Avantages

Kira staff are easy to work with and can implement changes easily and efficiently. The videos are easy to run and I like that I can communicate with users quickly and with a few clicks.

Inconvénients

The analytics page could be a little more detailed- maybe including a search function so we can find a user more quickly instead of doing a manual search.

Seamless integration into application/file reader software. Easy to use from a staff perspective. Great quality videos.

It is very easy to use and navigate in terms of setting up, recording, accessing, and reviewing recordings.

The inability to batch assign specific applicants to reviewers. Currently the batch assignment is only for randomized applications.

I have been using the Kira Talent platform for just over a year and find it very easy to use when reviewing candidate's video interviews. The platform is very user-friendly and easy to navigate through. I would definitely recommend the software to anyone that wants to free up a bit of time when interviewing large number of candidates.

Inconvénients

I haven't had a bad experience of the platform yet and neither have my colleagues - I know a couple of candidates often face technical issues, but I believe that's purely down to having an unsecure internet connection. Overall, I have had a pleasant experience

I like that Kira was easy to use and was extremely clear about how an interview session would proceed.

Inconvénients

The pre-recorded interviews give you a set amount of time to prep after giving a question; I wish you could skip this prep time if you don't need it.

Easy to navigate, clear assessment rubrics, very responsive client support and applicant technical support.

Inconvénients

Lacks integration with other admissions tools, lacks functions to reduce assessor bias, applicant's unique identifier in Kira is not consistent with the rest of our admissions process, no control over format/ content of exported data.

Avantages

To invite someone to a Kira, it is simple and takes about 30 seconds. The response (receipt of the Kira interview) is much quicker than a CD presentation being sent to us from overseas.

Inconvénients

If you forget your password, it is sometimes confusing to get it back. If checking to see if someone started or submitted a KIra, I sometimes have to use different search names/address.

Avantages

Kira is extremely user friendly. Even as beginner, I was able to navigate it easily as well as teach others to use it.

Inconvénients

The search key isn't very obvious. The complete video link doesn't always automatically populate in the CRM we use. However, I'm not sure if the error with KIRA or our CRM.

Avantages

We found Kira Talent to be a great screening tool to quickly get a sense of certain candidates and narrow to a short-list in an efficient way. Instead of judging based on resumes alone, these video interviews were a great supplement to get us down to a shorter list of candidates worth interviewing in person.

Inconvénients

When I first started using the software a couple of years ago there were a few minor glitches, but I believe they've all been fixed. They're also very responsive on any issues, so this didn't cause me any real problems.

The software is designed in a very straightforward and user-friendly manner. I like how quickly and efficiently you can work within the platform and tracking interviews is very easy.

Inconvénients

The only issues we run into is certain browsers often give candidates issues in completing the interview. Usually trying a different browser clears up the issue, but it often give users issues.

Being able to review interviews on our own schedules and competency questions are more consistent across interviewers

It would be really helpful to have better search options; i.e., for individual applicants in all windows and also for reviewers. Have to now go back into each group to find someone.

Easy to use (both for candidates and the staff watching the videos), good looking platform, but most importantly the software gives us the opportunity to "meet" more candidates from all around the world which has added a new dimension to our admissions process.

Inconvénients

Cant think of anything which I would suggest an improvement on. At LBS we haven't experienced any significant issues with the software.

Avantages

It's reliable and relatively easy to use. Selection of a particular applicant's profile is relatively easy, allowing for quick evaluation.

Inconvénients

In some ways, I think it may have too many features. It'd also be nice if it wasn't a separate platform from the rest of the admissions materials that we evaluate.

The student facing interface is easy to understand as a user. Our prospective students enjoy utilizing the platform and it provides us with another opportunity to position our brand early on in the admissions process.

Inconvénients

This is not a con, but Kira Talent needs to continue to expand their product offerings for the Higher Education industry because of their strong design capabilities.

Technical issues from the use side, often advising they cannot complete, some even have to come to the office to complete video responses.

This is great tool to review applicants who are interviewing for extra scholarship points. The interface is extremely easy to navigate.

The sound quality of the videos varies so greatly, with some videos being very difficult to hear. I assume that's more of a function of the one who is recording the video though and not as much a function of the software.

I love the efficiency of Kira with the heavy volume of applicants our program receives.

Hard to judge when there has been a possible issue with the browser refreshes, not sure if its connection issues or them trying to reform their answers.

Some of the things I liked about Kira versus other software that I have used in the past is the ability to rate interviews and share that information with others who are viewing the same video. It allowed for easier and more streamlined calibration of candidates. In addition, the length of the videos allowed for direct, to the point statements of candidates which allowed for more manageable review time.

There wasn't anything directly that stood out to me as a CON to this software, however the email notifications that each candidate had uploaded their video I could do without

Avantages

I like that we can rotate question and that we can ask both video questions and written questions. This enables us to to see how applicants perform in a pressurized situation.

Inconvénients

There is really nothing I like least; the platform does exactly what we want it to do and has become a crucial part of the application process.

It is easy to navigate and super customer friendly. The customer support agent who works with our company reached out to me immediately and was very helpful.

I wish that there was a transcription/subtitle feature. Sometimes it is difficult to hear the applicants' answers. I also wish that there was a way to slow down the audio.

User friendliness of the interface especially as it relates to navigating through interviews. The tool is so easy to learn how to use.

Would like more features to evaluate rater consistency. For example if two raters are assigned to a batch of interviews, I'd like basic descriptives on the level of agreement between the raters. Flagging disagreements would also be a great add on.

I liked the ease of use in terms of layout, and simplicity. It quickly became easy to understand where everything was and how it tied together.

Uploading the videos was extremely difficult. I was running into many issues with file formatting, being unable to see if the video was updated from testing, and just overall problems reviewing the work.

I have used this software for giving interviews at several colleges during my MBA admissions. It is very user friendly and the customer support is amazing

The sound quality could be better. While using it for practice interviews I found some issues about the echo being heard in recordings

Quick customer service turnaround time. The staff is dedicated to customer service and it shows. Email responses are usually less than 24 hours.

Inconvénients

The only suggestion would be to improve the compatibility between Hobsons and Kira. Specifically, the link takes a few minutes to appear in the Hobsons interview section. If it would be immediate, that would be ideal.

Avantages

It is very useful to evaluate candidates in a very realistc way, when we didn't have Kira they submitted essays but you never know if they wrote them or not, but the video tool is more helpful.

Inconvénients

The amount of emails we receive every day. We receive emails from Kira to inform us that a candidate has completeted Kira, but the thing si that we receive from all the canadidates applying to IE not only from the ones we are in charge. I know we can assign ourselves our candidates but it takes a lot of time.

Easy to use! Both applicants and faculty reviewers have commented on how this software has made the interview process more efficient. As an administrator, I like monitoring the analytics section to see which stage each applicant is in during the interview process. Sending interview invites is also easy and efficient.

Inconvénients

I can't think of any negatives! I have thoroughly enjoyed using this software. In the short time that we have utilized Kira Talent, I have seen that it has made a positive difference in our interview process in terms of efficiency.

Gives a deeper understanding of candidates. Validates aspects of the application package. Helps to gauge authenticity of a candidate's desire to join a specific program. Allows us to "meet" applicants before they arrive.

Inconvénients

One applicant had trouble with the software needs and couldn't complete the assessment. We are very early stage with the software; I don't have any other cons.

Ease of use is beyond amazing, both for the reviewers and administrator. Assigning applications out to reviewers is straightforward and only requires a few clicks. Reviewing applications is simple and easy to navigate.

Inconvénients

Some more admin tools to reset passwords, resend reviewer invitations, and some better reporting would make the system just that much better.

Not only is Kira Talent straight forward as soon as you log in, but the software itself is quite smart. You're able to detect whether an individual's interview has an "integrity" issue.

With the above pros being said, at times when an interview was flagged it had nothing to do with the interviewee but a glitch with the system. However, customer service was very quick to respond.
