I have been using Teachable for at least the last 2 years. It has allowed me to share many of my courses with a wider audience. I love getting new students when I am asleep!!!

After watching some tutorials and spending a bit of time, I was able to get the hang of creating online course through Teachable. They have good features like affiliate marketer enabling, adding a coaching service, and a backoffice bookkeeping option. They also offer a 30-day money back guarantee.

Inconvénients

It's difficult to get live support, and the website offers no help in marketing your materials. It's nearly impossible to find your class in a google search.

It is easy to use, and easy to share and sell content. Unfortunately ease of use is useless if they do not pay you your money!

Inconvénients

The timing of payments is in the USA which means users in other countries need to wait for USA opening hours to get support. In a company such as this you would expect 24/7 international support online at least. Money is not paid regularly and you can be waiting months to receive the money from your courses. Not worth it at all of this income is important to you!

For basic text uploading, graphics, etc, Teachable is a quick and easy solution to get a course up quickly.

Inconvénients

I dislike that the free option is going away for users with more than 10 students. I also dislike that Teachable still takes a cut of sales, even with paid options. It's not the most user-friendly for more than basic options.

I've mostly used Teachable as the student, not the teacher. It seems to integrate with websites nicely and is easy to enroll in the courses.

As a student, my interaction with Teachable courses has been very good. No problems to date. Good job!

Avantages

The two LMS platforms I recommend to entrepreneurs are Teachable/Thinkific. Everything around a online course can be built on Teachable. That way, you can focus on making course content and teaching your students.

Inconvénients

The lack of mobile responsiveness, and embedded content is hit or miss. I had trouble embedding a online form for quiz taking, and the workaround didn't work.

Avantages

Flexibility and ease of use is excellent. The pricing model works best for our purposes.

Lack of graded quizzes with out moving into a more costly plan.

It is soooo easy to use and fluid between different parts. Love the app that's available, too. Makes it convenient as a student to complete courses. Has a premium feel to it.

There's not much to not like, except the pricing, which can be quite high when you add in their fees.

The pricing and the fact they take a transaction fees on the smaller plans. That was a turn off.
The sign in process as a USER, I dislike. I have signed up to a few teachable courses of other people and I do not find it simple enough.

It is easy to use, and a really great value. I like how the certificates of completion are built right into the platform.

Not much bad I can say about it. The pricing structure is so much better than something like Kajabi (although I believe Kajabi has better marketing features). It's a great platform to get started with.

For someone who just wants to create content and have a place to store it, this. could be for you. It's not costly, you can create courses and store them free (cost is paid upon enrollments). For a starter or simple course platform it gets the job done.

For one who wants to create professional courses online, build up your budget and use a higher end platform that has more features and gives you more functionality.

The things that I like about this software are; People can share their knowledge/skills to other people who are interested while getting paid at the same time. They are their own boss. People have options to customize/personalize their content.

I am currently evaluating many LMS/Course creators and Teachable is one of the easiest to deploy on. I was recommended by an influencer who swears by it.

I wish there was some way for all of these course creators to not cost $30+ a month. It makes getting started a bit harder when you have to pay for a lot of other software alongside.

I bought a course created by [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and asked for a refund since the course didn't deliver on its promise. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was very hard to get a reach of and didn't care at all of what I had to say.

I was referred to this product for great reasons. It offers so much flexibility with content types and the structure of courses is gorgeous and functional for users (speaking as a student in a Teachable course and a creator myself).

I haven't experienced any cons that I've seen so far! I really enjoy the software. It has been easy to learn and use.

I really like Teachable. I think it's awesome they have a free option and the paid options have helpful features at a decent price point. I like that it's easy to use.

It was overpriced for what you get. We used a few plugins on Wordpress and ended up with a much better system without paying Teachable. Also, the design controls are limited, and we found the UI kind of ugly. So the choice to build a small LMS on Wordpress was easy.

I love how quickly you can construct a course with this software. The user experience is beautiful and intuitive.

The "one-click" upsell feature is actually a two-click upsell which is suboptimal for marketing purposes. In general I'd rather create my own marketing material than use Teachable's sales page and shopping cart.

The software is intuitive and I can use what I load in class and use it. Once it's saved, it's there for years to come. I can have as many students and courses as I want...and I can sell them if I am able to do so (maybe a project for later)

The pricing of this program makes it lack feasibility for my school or classroom. To have five owners, we would pay a month. If I am able to sell my courses, then this might be offset by the income...I'm unsure since that's not my purpose in use. For classroom instruction, this program probably isn't the best. But, if you have great courses you can sell (private industry), you may make good money with this. It just wasn't a fit for my purposes.

This has a fantastic free platform as long as you aren't selling your courses. I use my courses as a way to connect and build trust so it's great to find a platform that doesn't cost an arm and a leg

Personally I like the reliability of Teachable, it is very stable and seamless. I should say Teachable might be the most advanced LMS platform on the market.

The downside is as a user when you are at the start-up stage it is quite hard to choose which tier should choose. The zapaier integration is very useful and powerful but only available from the Pro plan. That is a kind of painful for testing the water.

It's easy to use, and it takes the part of "how do I get all of my knowledge out of my head and in front of people" headache out of the equation. Setup was quick and easy, as is the editor. Teachable also provides tuns of resources to help course creators get started producing high-quality courses.
