Highly Useful, If Slightly Glitchy
Avantages
Ease of use, beautiful user interface, and the amount of information that can be input for each gage. With this software, we can keep incredibly detailed records far beyond what we kept before and it is a joy to use.
Inconvénients
My only complains about this software are:
1) The search function does not function properly 100% of the time. It says no records exist, but I can go to the entire list and find it myself. This, however, is a rare occurrence.
2) The filtering functions on the list do not allow me to filter out specific entries. Example, I want to filter out a specific manufacturer but it only gives me the option to filter out a condition.

Outstanding option
I have had an excellent experience using this system to track the calibrations of all tools in a small to medium sized tool and die shop (50-100 employees). We completely replaced the paper based system that I inherited as Quality manager with minimal issues.
Avantages
free, excellent interface, and very easy to use.
Inconvénients
website upgrade created disruptions to normal use and unpredictable behavior, but only for a short time.

Small Business Gage Cal Management
Overall completely stoked on the ease of use and functionality.
Avantages
Scale-able to small business/sole proprietorship, enables easy compliance with gage calibration tracking, testing, and document management. Customer service thus far has been excellent, a real person will get back to you quickly via either telephone or a trouble ticket. Any suggestions I made for improvement have either been almost immediately implemented or put on the white board for action.
Inconvénients
There is some vagueness when it comes to calibration instruction documents and long form creation during calibration procedures, but I'm assured it will be improved shortly.

Easy to use and easy to implement
Avantages
From an administration side of things, this software has been easy to get up and running. My users have had no complaints and have taken to using it very quickly. I'm glad that we made the change from our archaic, antiquated Access based software.
Inconvénients
I have not encountered any cons that I can think of at this time.

Small Organization
As a start up company GageList meets our immediate needs as an organization.
Avantages
Gagelist is a great tool forstart-up or smaller organization. It has the bare essentials for most items and can be customized. However, if you are looking for a full system like GageTrak, this may not meet your expectations.
Inconvénients
Limited options. It takes a little why to figure how how to use the system to it's fulliest. However, any system has a learning period.

Avantages
We love the heads up display. It is very easy to use and provides all information we are looking for on the home page.
Inconvénients
We have not had any issues so far. I would suggest adding more options to some of the categories like tools and vendors.

I really like that there is a section for location and department for the Gage along with who owns it. It helps locating the gage during calibration a lot quicker.
Inconvénients
The gagelist ID is auto populated and can not be deleted.

Great Customer Service
Great customer service experience, CSR went above and beyond to get us activated on the system very quickly.
Avantages
- Software is easy to update and add new gages.
- Reminders are helpful to let you know when equipment is close to recalibration / service date.
- Software looks very professional and impressed our customers.
Inconvénients
Maybe could have more category options so you can add gages based on your companies different departments (can sort of achieve this with the filter options though).

Easy, good and cheap
Avantages
Very easy to use and set up. Training new users takes around 5 minutes.
Inconvénients
We just started a gage database, so it was easy for us to create gages and everything around it, but I would not recommend to people who are switching from another software/database that contains a lot of gages. Set up would most likely be painful and long.

Awesome Gage Calibration program
I was able to enter all my precision gages into the program. I set up my own recall time. I was able to categorize different gage types.
Avantages
Easy gage entry. Tremendous support team.

I had no issues with the program. I am satisfied with my purchase.

It's user friendly, it's fully supported and it supports ISO 9001. I really like the email notifications on past due or up coming due dates.
Inconvénients
I truly can't think of anything that I don't like about this software system and I really tried to find something that I didn't like.

Gage list review
I tried it out and uploaded a lot of my companies gages, but I dont have enough time to switch over all of our past records from previous years. It would be an improvement to make gagelist our main system for calibration, but for the amount of work to bring it all over isnt really worth the work. Our system we have now works fine, its just old.

Its very user friendly and easy to understand

It all looked really nice. There isnt anything that comes to mind.

Overall this gets everything done that an excel spreadsheet would but nice to have it cloud based for multiple users.
Avantages
Gagelist is a simple cloud based software that allows you to inventory equipment, set PM schedules, and track calibration records.
Inconvénients
Fairly primitive design and interface. Could be easier to use.

User Friendly and ISO Compliant
Avantages
Tutorials are very easy to follow. Ease of use and has everything you need without having to create it yourself or pay an exorbitant amount and it is ISO 9001 compliant.
Inconvénients
The free version is limited to 100 gauges, however the monthly cost is reasonable if you need more. I really don't see any cons.

The way entering templates works makes it so you cannot have a template called "caliper" "micrometer" etc

Overall gage list is good. It's easy to use and straightforward.
Avantages
I like the simple and clean design of the interface. I also like the reports options and the ability to search and list based off of different categories.
Inconvénients
When printing a page (not the report) it prints out the links of the gage ID and it really makes it a messy print out.
