Good Tool for Shift Management

Avantages

Time management for shift, news feed for internal communications and ease of shift set ups. Easy to use phone app for leaders and team members.

Inconvénients

Integration with other tools , need to manually cancel shift to not accrue points

Good Scheduling & Timekeeping Software

Overall, a good scheduling software. Worked well for me and my teams.

Avantages

Deputy is very user friendly and useful with scheduling and timekeeping employees. It worked well for me as a manager, helping me know what staff I was going to expect as well sending me notifications of the upcoming schedule.

Inconvénients

I didn't encounter any issues with this software.

Powerful cloud-based rostering application

As part of a small subsidiary that is rapidly growing, we were encountering rostering problems that necessitated greater functionality than what our Excel templates could offer, but did not call for the complexity of traditional big-company rostering solutions. Deputy offered us an intuitive cloud-based alternative that seems to grow as we do. We are still discovering new and powerful ways to use Deputy every day !

Avantages

- Different platforms available
- Real-time notifications of shift changes
- Ability to sychronize Deputy with calendar programs
- Greater employee management (birthdays, emails, etc.)
- Reliable timesheets (vs. Excel)
- Customizability

Inconvénients

- No built-in monthly view for rostering purposes
- No option to roster schedules by employee and not work area (French work contracts guarantee a minimum hours/week for each employee)
- Limited timesheet reports in Excel format

team sift scheduling and more.

this app kept me from doing manual invoicing, allowed me to trade shifts with other teammates quickly and without having to harass the management to make changes manually on their end. I can also pick up shifts a lot easier than in other tools.

Avantages

besides the really nice interface, the tool integrate to google calendar, send push notifications and other features. Deputy can replace several separate apps to manage your team or your shifts in a single place, saving a lot of work for both the manager and workers.

Inconvénients

Not really an issue, but by being so complete, it might require a considerable learning curve, but it's worth the time spent.

Saved us money and meets our needs with a few quirks

Large cost savings over the product we were using with similar features.

Avantages

It's a easy to use scheduling software at an amazing price. Additionally, the ability to sink with google calendar has helped our staff to stay on track with their shifts. We also like the training features which allow us to select which employees can work in which areas without having them be totally separated in the system.

Inconvénients

Notifications. There's no way to adjust individual notification settings, so your mailbox is flooded with emails.

The constant presence of features you don't have access to in an effort to up-sell.

No more guessing

It's been really good. I dont even have to stress about my time clock or losing track of hours. It's awesome.

Avantages

I love how easy it is to find my schedule, pick up shifts, trade shifts, locate my pay slips, my tax documents and being able to keep of my hours.

Inconvénients

I cant think a single thing. I have not had any issues or glitches. No problems with my clocking in and out either.

good product, horrible customer service

Avantages

Scheduling features are great, export functionality makes the job easier

Inconvénients

Horrible customer service- one agent had so much attitude that it was unbelievable. Also, the API/zapier integrations are not perfect so it gets hard to automate export of data/timesheets

I love Deputy

Avantages

transferring shifts from one person to the next and the in app notifications. I also like being able to put announcements in the newsfeed

Inconvénients

I wish that there was a way to incorporate our on call schedule into it and I wish that I could get the time clock portion to not show up. I've set my preferences to not use it but techs are still getting the late to clock in warnings.

Deputy Service

We gave Deputy the challenge to develop a system that works with Paychex, Vend, Workflow Max and other software. They delivered an easy to use software that integrates with all of our providers in a quick turn around. The service within the integration was fluent. I highly recommend this to other businesses!

Deputy Review

There's so much flexibility in this app especially for employee shifts. You can manage scheduling with ease, track clocking in and out effectively and communicate to your staff in the event of changes.

Avantages

An incredible tool that makes scheduling of staff a very simple task. It gives you amazing scheduling features that you can use from just about anywhere to schedule your staff. In addition, the clocking in and out works with geotag allowing your staff to access the tool remotely.

It has a great communication platform useful for updates.

Customer-service is excellent. If you're stuck anywhere, you can get assisted.

Inconvénients

Android apps should be checked as iPhones app seem to work best.

DEPUTY

Deputy is a program that is very easy to understand, implement in the daily routine at work and use. It has become easier to complete and to analyse the monthly schedules for staff and to quickly find available staff when needed. At the same time, it's easy to keep the employees updated on eventual changes due to the notification option. The interface is very simple and practical and gives a good overview. Since using it, it has become a real pleasure to make staff schedules.

Love the scheduling functionality and the fact I can manipulate it on various platforms.

Mobility, and flexibility, can make adjustments on the fly from anywhere. Ease of use intuitive controls and customization. Notification feature works great and saves a lot of emails, phone calls, and text messages.

Avantages

The ability to use on various platforms and the ability to edit on the go. Perfect fit for security company. Intuitive.

Inconvénients

Cannot email schedule directly from program. News feeds slow to load and never show up in correct chronological order on mobile app.

Deputy deserves a Star

Avantages

Software is very intuitive. Easy and quick to use infact deputy is so much more to offer like scheduling employees time and attendance made sooo easy.

Inconvénients

Having difficulty with the settings , I need to put it onebyone instead of default settings must be applied. Or maybe it’s just for security purposes.
