It integrates easily all data files. Makes it easier to manage data and program columns etc. The graphing capabilities keep getting better and the speed too.

The variety of graph types in Origin and OriginPro is amazing. Also, I love the freedom I have in customizing my graphs and processing and presenting dara.

The software UI didn't change much since version 6 or 7 that I used to use more than 10 years ago. some update on the UI side will be very nice.

Origin has is highly versatile and has a huge graphics capacity

The main problem is that there is no Mac version. Consequently, I have to use Parallels. It makes everything more cumbersome and expensive.

A minor issue is that some functions are hard to find and learn how to use. Maybe the graphics can be improved to make it conceptually easier.

After a few hours of practice, I was able to create extremely high-quality graphs for my PhD thesis. Whilst other programs struggled with the amount of different data I was trying to visualise, OriginPro had absolutely no problems.

It was a little hard to use for the first few hours, although once I got to grips with the software I was impressed with it's functionality. Also, as I used it under the university licence, I have no idea how much it costs.

Origin allows total customization of plots, it is very easy to use templates and to copy specific formats from previous plots. The integration with automatic data treatment scrips from MATLAB is very handy.

Some of the features are still "hidden" and something still takes a lot of time to find them.

There is very little to like about this software. The only downside is that some graphs can be cumbersome to make.

I like the many different options for plotting and basic trend analysis. Customer support is amazing. Responses to emailed questions within 24 hours (max) and have had several of my suggestions for addition to software incorporated in updates.

Still find navigating the different pull-downs/options difficult (for example Plot Details vs Plot Setup).

This is a far superior product to Excel for creating graphs and analyzing data. It has many impressive features, including the fact that the products can be edited in Word and/or Power Point. A considerable step up from Excel for those who need the power and feature set it provides.

It has a very steep learning curve and is of great complexity, meaning that you need to be quite sophisticated to use it properly. If used to its fullest potential, however, it it powerful and excellent. The price is high, however, meaning that for most people, Excel will suffice.
