I would like to have more integrations for business software. It works great with commercial stuff like google, alexa, mail, etc. But on a larger business term like integrations of CRM, Mailchimp and Slack it falls short.

The UI is incredibly simple and easy to understand.

Every year they removes features, such as reducing free plans from 5 applets to 2 applets and making X posting a pro only feature.

I first started using IFTTT years ago and found it fascinating because of how much it could do. It is great for managing connections to multiple devices and apps. The ability to have your home lights turn on when you arrive, or have the AC turn on at a specific time every day are all really cool and useful tasks that IFTTT performs perfectly.

Inconvénients

IFTTT lags behind when it comes to multistep workflows the kind that Zapier, Integromat can handle quite easily. But what it does do, it does very well.

I really like the possibility of integration and management of various platforms by connecting everything, I use it for loading and unloading management by integrating everything on trello and it allows me to always have everything under control

Perhaps among all that I find it a bit more difficult and the integration with some dokers not exactly straightforward which often leads me to a lot of online research to find the right way

I like the idea of IFTTT more than anything else. The UI is nice and clean.

Inconvénients

The big disappointment in IFTTT is that is just doesn't do enough for professionals/business. Not only that, but trying to modify or edit the settings of an applet is difficult if not impossible. There's just not enough control.

The IFTTT user interface is very clear to view and easy to use. IFTTT supports a large number of applications to connect.

The free version doesn't allow multistep applets. Limited filtering tools available to use.

I love this app! I use it with my blink camera system to automate the arm and disarm feature based on geographical location. There are a ton of other integrations

Sometimes the triggers don't initiate for a particular automation. this can be annoying at times

It is not the most user-friendly in that you have to spend some time figuring things out when you are unfamiliar with the language of integrations. It isn't built for a novice.

We mainly use it to send notifications to our Slack channels when a certain client emails a certain department.

It lacks some integrations with some latest AI tools, but hopefully they will add those soon.

IFTTT has been on the market for more than a decade, and is one of the original no code solutions for automating processes - it’s used by very big names in the industry, that says a lot about it!

IFTTT is a great service that allows you to automate repetitive tasks without knowing how to code. It is really good at several things including:
1) Recipe Marketplace- If you are new to IFTTT you can easily get started with their marketplace of applets or Recipes. Using recipes (as they are called) you can easily connect services and begin to create new tasks. The good thing is that there are many different options.
2) Automatically posting Social posts - If you connect your social media networks, you can post from one site to the other automatically. So you could theoretically post from Twitter to Facebook and vice versa. Really good feature.
3) Home automation - most people will agree smart home automation is a mess but IFTTT bridges the gap allow you to connect different smart home devices to get almost true automation.

Inconvénients

I feel like IFTTT actions do not always work, for example if you have a service running and you encounter an error, you have to delete the recipe and start all over.

Some recipes are pointless, the quality in the marketplace really varies. You have to test before committing to any recipe. Have had instances where an Tweet is not shared to Facebook or vice versa but IFTTT says the recipe was run.

There are instances where you do need to know a bit of coding to get create recipes that have a lot of triggers and in some cases even pay someone to get things done for you. For the most part its easy to get started but you may need to be a coder to create some complex recipes that have multiple tasks and triggers.

Avantages

I can post to social media, without being there. Vital for the followers on other side of the world. It meshes with so many sites and apps so you can get a lot done, while getting a lot of other stuff done.

Inconvénients

Sometimes it stalls out on me. Not too often, but it does. It doesn't work well with self hosted WP , ongoing issue. There's some services id like to make my own integrations for, but a few aren't so clear as to how to do that. It should also have a duplicate reminder, I've had it double posting before, and took days to figure it out, by that time damage was extensive

A great way to automate simple tasks, and extend the functionality of other products you own to do things they don't do on their own. For example, add custom commands to Google Assistant. Add even more smarts to your smart lighting. Post daily exchange rates to a Slack channel. Those are some of the things I use IFTTT for on literally a daily basis.

Creating your own custom integrations is very clunky. I usually don't want to use someone else's premade integration. And I don't create new ones often enough to remember how I did it the last time. But every single time I find I have to hunt on the site for a few minutes to find the button to click to start a new integration from scratch. Why is this not the default landing page? I believe it used to be.

it is effective and pffers a number of pre-built recipes to get things done. Also its pro plan is priced aptly so its a great tool to have to run a number of automations.

a number of triggers stopped a few years ago. Support for scoop.it is not there :(

Now this app has allowed me to see the Internet of things coming to life in my daily life. Connecting devices is something you can do quite easily with this app. It makes your life just more convenient. Like you can integrate your fit bit to you kettle such that as soon as you wake up, your kettle boils water for your coffee. It automates daily mundane tasks among others and its free.

Inconvénients

We could not create multi-step functions. Maybe this is based on our own lack of skills but enquiring with others it seems this is not possible. If they could allow multi-step processes this would just make the software perfect.

IFTTT was one of the first apps that really amused me. It lets you connect with over 700 services and devices and the creations are limitless.
The community is really big, so you can learn and copy from others.
It's better than Shortcuts.app from Apple.

iOS is a close system, so IFTTT have limits. That's the only "bad" thing Im going to say about this amazing software.

I have used IFTTT for personal and business purposes. There are so many useful integration options that help you save so much time with social media management. I have all of my business social media integrated with my Instagram, so when I post there, it posts everywhere! The integrations are so easy to set up for almost anything.

I don't have a single complaint. IFTTT offers great service and customer service.

Some platforms make you re-initiate their service and you have to log back in to reactive. This can cause miss posts, but it is an easy fix to log into the app and turn it back on to work again.

I love that it was so easy to set up little ifttt runs. Even just simple things like when I get out of the car, turning off my Bluetooth when I connect to my home WiFi so that I'm not wasting my phone battery or cross posting things from one social media platform to another.

For some of it you need to know what it is you want to do in advance. It can be difficult to be inspired by the app sometimes.

I wish there were even more "canned" templates, as they are much easier to use than creating your own custom templates (although it is possible to do that as well).

It has a large user base and has been around for awhile, so it is integrated with a lot of things.

We always wish for more! I wish this app worked with EVERY other app. For now though it is still amazing.

Avantages

Huge array of services (channels) that can integrate with this platform, with lots of example 'recipes' from the community to inspire ideas. Allows integration between two or more different services with ease without the need for any programming knowledge or similar in a 'set and forget' style way. And maybe the best of all is that it's mostly free to use.

Inconvénients

Some recipes are no longer working, most of the times because the services integrated changed something and it kinda takes some time for ifttt to be aware of this and remove the recipe.
