Avantages

When I was first introduced to Remo, it didn't take long to realize that this online platform could become a very valuable internet tool. Our organization has since used it for networking and social events, as well as a meeting space for online conferences. I enjoy the freedom of movement that Remo gives its participants, as well as the way it facilitates networking via the participants LinkedIn button.

Inconvénients

I wish that there was an easier way to change the layout and formatting of the Remo event space, so that an organization could customize their Remo space the way they would customize an actual event space.

What I liked the most about Remo was that my event attendees could interact with each other and speakers all in the one place in a fun way

The platform could be improved in a way where it was more focused on the user experience and user interface.

The virtual ballroom is more visually appealing than other types of breakout room spaces. There are some decent tools - IF you know where to find them and how to use them.

I had two issues that came up - neither of which customer service was able to help me with. ONE of them, the biggest one, was a mic issue! I kept getting generic answers that weren't helping. The issue was that Google wasn't selecting my defauly Mic. The custemer service person didn't tell me I could select my default mic IN the platform - even after I made the suggestion that they should have that feature! That's a major failure for me.

Inconvénients

- Virtually separating floors create kind of a panic: if I move from my seat to another floor, will I find it empty again upon my return? And may I pick someone else seat if the event manager did not assign me one?
There is really no impact, as you can easily pick another one and it is not requested to move among floors, just an unnecessary nuisance feeling...
- It need anyway experienced staff to manage the participants, at least one per floor

What I liked most about the platform is whiteboard feature. In our teambuilding activity this featured allowed us to be creative in getting to know one another.

We had each person post an image from a highlight from their summer. After they posted it, they then would share the story behind their image they posted.

Inconvénients

Overall the biggest area I feel that is missing from Remo is the ability to see everyone at once like in ZOOM's gallery mode.

The ability to see everyone creates a unique connection.

If that was integrated that wouls be a game changer.

Avantages

I like how the software is designed like a building with floors and tables. It makes it easy for everyone to find people who share similar interests with them. I also like the fact that we can add contact information to our profiles, which allows us to keep in touch after events. I love the table design with different people per table. That’s brilliant because you can also have private conversations with few people.

Inconvénients

It is hard for attendees to access the video and microphone feature when they are using their phones to join Remo events. So, that’s my least favorite part.

Just a great overall program. Coming from a industry where networking is very important . I love how I can go from table to table.

Nothing really. Maybe a bit more education on how to set up your profile. It was easy for me. But I had some Chamber members struggle with it.

Avantages

Conferences during COVID are missing that networking feel. Remo has helped us bridge that gap and have people still talk to each other during conferences. We can still present what we would normally have on stage in a window for everyone. Our clients live the interaction. Our unique video system lets us ingest video into the main presentation window with multi camera and presentations as well as video playback all in one window.

Inconvénients

We live everything about REMO, the one item we would like even more is a full 16x9 camera window instead of 4x3. That's a small thing, and doesn't limit our use of REMO.

Avantages

This product has changed the way we run large-scale meetings in a good way. We are on the cutting edge of virtual meetings in our industry thanks to this product. The ability to table hop and to speak camera-to-camera with others at the event hugely simplifies booth shows and round table discussions.

Inconvénients

There are a number of features not yet available, but I believe Remo is aware of these suggested changes and is hoping to deploy many (if not all) of them in the near future. Current cons include:
- Limit of 8 people per table
- Users are randomly assigned tables upon entry
- All floors must have the same customized floor plan

The UI is a bit hard to get used to and I especially disliked when they had music playing live between sessions that that video blocked the ability to switch tables etc...

I did not like trying to use my mouse to navigate around rooms as I found it very fast and I am not an experienced gamer.

I love that I am able to have multiple conversations with different groups of people due to the different break rooms. It is great for networking events because you are able to go to different break-out rooms and network with other people.

Inconvénients

I don't like that the break rooms are only for 6 people I wish it was more like 10. It is also not well known so not that many people know how to use it. It can also be confusing and difficult to set up for the first time.

Authentic connections created at tables. The most similar experience to real networking.

Inconvénients

Presentation slides appear too small. Some bugs and technical challenges from a small percentage of users. Not mobile friendly.

Avantages

Remo has an intuitive interface and provides great interaction between people. I am especially impressed by the floor and table features that allow different groups to separate and discuss, allows a user to move between groups easily, and still allows for broadcasting to all groups if needed. Plus, the whiteboard function is easy to use and highly effective in arranging a presentation. Overall, great software.

Inconvénients

It will be great if the bar at the bottom and the chat box could be moved around the screen by the user. Additionally, the chat box sometimes glitched, so I had to reopen it a couple of times.

I really love how easy it is to navigate around the virtual rooms on the platform. The help feature was also very quick and helpful.

I honestly cant think of anything about the software that I have an issue with.

As a first time user of this kind of platform/software I was very impressed with the ease to get started. There was a short simple tutorial that highlighted the features of this networking platform and then once in the platform I was able to quickly update my profile and start exploring.

The only con I can report is the networking is virtual. Although this platform made it easier to see and talk to people from around the world.

This product is easy to use, i have just finished setting up our first event and it all seemed to go very well. I'm looking forward to using it for our first time event. Customer service has also been a huge help!

The platform lets users join private video chats in small groups by clicking on virtual 'tables' in an office floorplan which is really great functionality. Nothing else particularly notable though.

The customer service was terrible. The platform experienced issues during an event, and despite their customer support saying they would be online and available for support (I had previously experienced issues with the platform) they were non-response. I cancelled my account the next day.

I was very impressed with the tool, with the free movement of the rooms, with the possibility of interacting in various ways and with the facilitation resources.

There is no possibility to customize the floor rooms with up to 10 people each room, this could mean that I do not need to use other tools that meet this need.

The product demos while informative are over 2 hours long which is just unrealistic. Wish customer service/sales had more availability. Product is inuitive - but we have questions that aren't answered in their tutorials.

Worked best for people to socialize virtually one-on-one or in small groups. Used it for several Happy Hours, Exhibit Halls and one breakout for policy discussion.

Inconvénients

We should be able to choose which floors in building are over-ridden by presentation mode, so you could have Expo Hall continue all day on Floor 1 while different concurrent presentations go on Floors 2-5, for example. Also, need better instructions for new users - it takes a while for people to understand all the controls. That's particularly true for the whiteboard section. The whiteboard tools are not intuitive and at a minimum need more of a description when you hover over them.

I felt as though the software was user friendly and we received the support from REMO during the set-up process. We purchased the Producer for one month (to only be used for one week) and were completely satisfied with our experience

It is difficult to draw people to your table. In person, of course, you can say "hello" to people as they pass by. Perhaps organizers should periodically send out messages about different tables or greetings from their hosts to interest attendees in tables they have not visited.

Help Desk had a friendly person staffed to answer all the questions that a good UI would have eliminated the need for.

Inconvénients

The company needs to replicate the user experience, namely, when additional buildings are added. The use of yellow callouts are the first sign that a design makeover is needed. This app would fall flat on its face without the Help desk being staffed by a REMO agent.

Avantages

Remo gives you the feeling of being at an event and the flexibility to move around to different discussions and tables. The freedom of movement is one of the features we enjoy the most at our events. Remo is great for receptions and breakout discussion groups.

Inconvénients

There are sometimes registrations issues for private events, but using an alternate email address usually fixes the issue.
