Make password management easy. Although never the most 'exciting' product, a solid password manager will save you time, keep you secure, and save you stress. 1Password does all of that, very well. Passwords are super secure, and be tweaked per-website so you can maximise the strength without exceeding limits per website. Also has fantastic sharing capabilities.

Inconvénients

Can you put a price on digital security? Not really. However, 1Password is one of the more expensive apps, compared to competitors.

I haven't explored much using 1Password but if I had to say something, as a user who was recommended by a family member it works well but because it is on a cloud system I would I have to notify them when a password is not uploaded e.g. wifi passwords

The concept is so simple and makes it easy to make sure you are using secure passwords for all your accounts. By only having to remember one (definitely strong) password, you no longer have to worry about reusing the same password or keeping a paper list next to your desk of all your passwords. With everything these days requiring a login, 1Password makes it easy, convenient and secure to create and store unique logins for all your online and offline accounts. You can store more than just passwords too, securely store your credit cards, passport, driver's license, bank account information as well as secure notes with whatever content you want. They make it super easy and simple to generate new passwords and logins, plus it can monitor and alert you to compromised logins as well as when 2FA is available.

Inconvénients

So far, I haven't found anything that I don't like. Any issues I've come across, their support quickly provided a solution.

Il tema della sicurezza è per definizione molto difficile da trattare, però non ho apprezzato e non apprezzo che il software mi avvisi della presenza di password ripetute all’interno del mio database poiché significa che il software ha salvato le password simili e non hai spiegato come viene pulita questa cache e dove viene salvata.

Avantages

I use it on Mac and it is integrated into all the browsers I use, which are Chrome and Safari. You go to a site to log in and simply click a button, enter your master password, and you are logged in.

If you use it from the app itself, it's even easier. You just click on one button and it goes to the login page fills it in and logs you in right away.

All you have to remember is the one master password.

It even has an app on the iPhone and iPad to use, plus I have access to my most used passwords right on my Apple Watch.

Inconvénients

Every once in a while it will lose the button on Safari and I will have to reinstall it. I think this happens when Safari auto-updates. Minor, but irritating.

Avantages

The application is fast and reliable. Passwords get stored securely and what mostly fascinates me is that the auto-fill feature really works all over the websites and it can be tweaked to work on local machines. Everything can be organized into folders and tagged. Finding a password is really easy.

Inconvénients

The switch to the subscription model is understendable, but I did not like it in partiucular since I like my software licenced for a one-time fee.

In my daily workflow, I use a couple of different tools, apps, and services. Since I am a privacy advocate, I use different passwords across all my accounts. It would be impossible to remember all of them. With 1Password I can not only keep track of all my account credentials, I can also make sure that I always set strong passwords. With just a few clicks I can monitor all my passwords, search for duplicates or highlight weak ones. It is pure joy to use.

Inconvénients

Every now and then, the browser extension of 1Password does some weird things. My main browser nowadays is Firefox and it happens sometimes, that the Browser Extension of 1Password does not unlock within the browser. I then need to unlock the desktop app so the browser extension does unlock too. Often, issues with the browser extension can be solved by closing and reopening the browser, not ideal but it does the trick for me.

1password does exactly what it sounds like -- makes it simpler to use your accounts through the use of one password entered into the 1Password system. You still have individual passwords to each account, it just makes it so you don't have to memorize all of them.

Inconvénients

I can't really say there is anything I dislike about this product -- it is so simple and does exactly what it says it will do. Some might consider it a bit of a security risk -- figure out one password, and you've got them all, or so it would seem... But 1Password locks them behind heavy encryption and requires security questions. It seems the standard hacker would have such a hard time cracking this software that they might just decide to move on (I couldn't say with certainty, though).

1password is more reliable than native chrome password manager. I can access the password on all the devices. And generate passwords which are secure enough not to get hacked.

I have not found any cons because I use 1password to save and generate password and it does the job perfectly.

How would anyone survive without 1Password? 1Password not only makes it easier to capture logins, it's a central hub for all things security. There's peace of mind knowing that this information is easy to access, even while on the go. In a business setting, it's great to have vaults to share with your team.

At some point, 1Password moved to a subscription model. For cost purposes, I preferred that this used to be a one-and-done price. However, the cost is worth it for ongoing security and reliability.

I liked the password generator the most, other feature are good, but not as good as other softwares, i hope they can improve them, its easy to use and very secure they offer 34 character unique codes you can generate easily, I also like that you can add Security notes, credit cards, government docs, software licenses all in one place.

Hard to edit or update informations, I find it annoying because I have to launch the complete 1Password app in order to make a minor adjustment because I can't update them there, also The interface is a little bit overwhelming and hard to use then 1Password does not function with all websites and apps.

Avantages

I like that I can use 1Password on my phone, on my Mac, in the office or at home. It is very accessible anywhere I need a quick check on one of my online accounts. I like how 1Password integrates seemlessly in my daily workflow, whether it be checking on an old account or making sure I enter the correct password for online banking. I've never had trouble with this app.

The subscription based model never worked for me. But the app is quite useful without it.

1Password manages all my passwords and its been doing so for years. Before that, I was using a free password manager which was fine but I needed a more robust system. 1Password reputation has been solid and the company is people focused so that is always a bonus. I love that I can use my browser extensions and my apps to sign into sites I use often. I use this software countless times per day, its definitely a must have for me.

Inconvénients

So far nothing I am happy to pay for it each year, knowing that my passwords are kept neat and organized.

Integration. The level to which 1Password has become part of my personal, family and work is a little scary. I keep any and all personal information in there. Passwords, health records, credit cards, private notes. The list could go on.

The two versions 1Password and 1Password X threw me a little when I bought a new Microsoft Surface and loaded 1Password on it. I started with X before realizing that I wanted to use v7 with the browser plugin. Other than that though the software pays for itself even time I have to log in somewhere.

This product saves so much time in my daily life. No longer do I have to get out my password book every time I'm logged out of a program i use daily. It's also much more secure than a password book.

This app first and foremost allows you to have unique and strong passwords for every log-in. I don't know what my passwords are, and I don't need to know. They are all un-rememberable strings of gibberish which makes them very very secure. I let the app generate them for me. 1 Password does a flawless job of syncing between devices so that my passwords are always close at hand. Also a great vault for securely storing any other sensitive info. Absolutely essential for me.

Inconvénients

There are probably more features in this app than I use, but they might be good for you. Not really a con per se.

1Password is available on a range of devices and that allows our team to safely store and have access to our passwords anywhere. The option to create personal, family or business-based "vaults" is great to help manage access. 1Password can also auto-generate safe passwords for new accounts, using a number of different options.

Not much, to be honest is a great safety tool. I only wish I could change passwords right on the app, and that would make it complete.

Avantages

Not having to remember a million passwords, plain and simple. With the Chrome extension, you can autofill forms really easily, which saves me probably an hour every day (that I would normally spend looking up or resetting numerous passwords).

It works well for API keys, license codes, and any other security-related data. I love that you can add login urls, notes, and fields, as well.

Inconvénients

1Password lives up to its name—you only have to remember one password. HOWEVER...given that you get locked out when you put your computer to sleep, I end up entering that ONE password MANY times throughout the day, which is somewhat annoying.

But, it's certainly better than remembering 100 passwords!

Fluid integration with macOS and iOS. WatchTower feature audits all of my passwords for weaknesses as well as websites that were comprised. I love the password generator, and I love the various sections for storing other important bits of info that aren't passwords (e.g. credit cards, software licenses). The app is stable, and updates are fairly frequent. The company is user-focused and consumer-conscious, as reflected by its refusal to pester for app reviews and offering various means of licensing the app (one-time purchase and subscriptions).

Inconvénients

I *guess* I could do with some theming options. The app is plenty attractive, so I don't even know that I'd use them. Still, sometimes there's something comforting about having options.

Getting the app installed was easy. Each time I type in a password, it asks to save. I can access my passwords from anywhere - phone, tablet, laptop, which is so convenient. I love that it gives you alerts if your passwords need to change.

Inconvénients

It doesn't always ask to store or update passwords when you change. For those times, it's tedious to have to go to the program and update the password.

Avantages

There is nothing glamorous around Password management but having a tool takes care of password management without additional headspace is definitely valuable. Feeling confident that your essential information is secure is essential especially coming from a place that has suffered a breach in the past.

Getting everyone on board was a challenge. Our team has been relying on post-notes on the side of a monitor for long enough that it was an ask to get them to change.
