Expensify is the best for managing expense

Expensify my chaos

Overall it is a great fit for small businesses that use it to scan and save expenses while giving a good reporting tool so you can review your spend. I would recommend it for owner managers or small teams that also have a gestor or just to streamline your administrative accounting or bookkeeping experience. Oh and it integrates with other programs too.

Avantages

Ease of use and ability to finally organise my receipts in time for the gestor. I didn’t have to presort them as they are saved and retrievable digitally by category or date or supplier. I liked that I could just email a bunch of receipts off at the same time to Expensify and they would upload all the receipts later ready for me to check and categorise and of course it remembers categories so you can save on time doing that too.

Inconvénients

If anything the time to upload a receipt manually could be improved. I wasn’t sure if I had done it correctly or not the first few times I tried and it sort of felt a bit clunky. This was from my iPhone XR though so not sure if it’s a better experience on android.

Expensive review

Overall, we felt there were other product products similar to nature that were a better fit for our company

Terrible Implemention Experience

Terrible implementation experience: Expensify is not taking ownership of an incomplete implementation. Iam writing this poor review out of exasperation with their poor customer support.

Avantages

In evaluating this solution, we liked the demonstrated functionality, relatively low cost, and credit card offering.

Inconvénients

The implementation experience has been terrible. The approach is not well organized. Early on we had problems "whitelisting" the Expensify ACH codes which we quickly rectified on our end, but it took Expensify nearly 10 days to restore related services. Then for some reason the integration with Xero stopped working in late March and one month later is has not been resolved. The only human we can speak with is our implementation coordinator which is frustrating because this is clearly a technical issue. I have asked on multiple occasions to speak with someone who can solve this issue only to be told that there is no one else I can speak with. Unacceptable.

Expensify is great

Really positive experience and will definitely be using the product for the foreseeable future.

Avantages

I liked how easy this system was to deploy. Our team was using it fairly flawlessly within about a week of adoption and that was a big win for us.

Inconvénients

Expensify works in all the ways that I want it to. I wish the system would send email reminders for people to review their spending because that would help us stay on top of it

Expensify for Conference Cost Reimbursement

Avantages

Expensify allowed me and my coworkers to report our costs to the finance team for reimbursement easily through an email report.

Inconvénients

It was a little clunky using email, I would have preferred to use some sort of graphical interface.

Avantages

The level of control and customization allowed for the group policy

Inconvénients

Many users will find that they may have 1 or 2 reasons to use expensify and when there are multiple policies on a users plan, it is really easy to get them crossed up. Expensify could do a better job with clarifying what policy a user is in.

T.MPOFU Review Expensify

Avantages

i like the way they have put it all in one platform to make it easy for companies to review their spending and budgets and to provide a good tracking system.

Inconvénients

I can say it only works well for small business but if they can expand their reach to larger companies as they also need a tool like expensify.

Very easy to use and provides an interesting experience

We choose paid software so that all our financial activities are encrypted and not just anyone can open them. Apart from this interesting expensify software, our company data is stored safely and can only be used by professionals in our company.

Avantages

During using this software, I learned more and more about how easy it is to manage company finances. Just by taking a photo, all data will be processed automatically. At first, I was very skeptical about buying it, but after I tried being recommended by my friend, I finally decided to buy it. Since then my thinking has changed 180 degrees.

Inconvénients

The form of reports varies from country to country. Likewise, reporting standards in Indonesia are not the same as those often used in the US. I see the results of the reports made by Expensify are less professional. But no problem, this can be done manually by our team. Besides, it's free.

Does Not Make Pay Within 7 Days as Advertised. Takes 14 days for ACH Payments!!

Extremely unpleasant and frustrating. I was promised payment within 7 days via ACH. I spent the time, submitted everything correctly. They screwed up and apparently they need to look at their software. This should never have happened, this is their business.

Highly do not recommend.

Avantages

The CR were nice. Still frustrating as they can't or didn't do anything.

Inconvénients

It was tedious, took over an hour to set up and it delayed my payment into my account.

They had a problem with their ACH processing or integration and it took them over a week to figure it out and fix it. OVER A WEEK! Now my payment is delayed another week. They can't do this to people. We have bills to pay. Expensify is Bad business!

I use Expensify to record and upload receipts of expenses I incur in my job. I do a lot of testing of competitor apps which creates multiple expenses per day and Expensify is a really easy way of recording these and sending them to my manager. I think some minor improvements could be made, but overall it's a very slick and easy app to use.

Avantages

It's very easy to upload receipts, reports etc and to combine various expenses into one report. It's super easy to send it off to my manager and for him to approve it. There's a very clear record of my expenses and a clear description of where they are in the reimbursement process. It works well!

Inconvénients

I got a bit confused initially about how to add my bank details, it seemed very US-focused, by which I mean there seemed only to be a way of adding an American bank details. I was actually just confusing myself, because I hadn't appreciated that by submitting it, my company would actually just use my bank details that they already have to reimburse me. This could be clearer in the app, but maybe it's just a specific thing for my company? Also, it would be nice to be notified that I have been reimbursed when the actual money has been sent. The status said 'reimbursement received' before the money actually came back to my account, which made me worried that it had been sent to the wrong person, when in fact the payment hadn't actually been sent yet! Making that clearer would be great. It also felt a bit clunky creating a report - it might be better to make it obvious that you should do this before adding an expense as adding it afterwards was slightly confusing.

Great product for small business!

I thought it was a great tool to keep up with the different expense types like the receipt uploads, the email tracking, and invoice sorting. Excellent for small businesses.

Avantages

I loved the fact I could upload receipts and track them.

Inconvénients

I didn't use all the features. So I can't tell you what I liked least.

Customer Service is ABHORRENT!!

I would not advise my clients to use this application. Perhaps someday they will figure out how to handle customers and have some sort of live support. But until then...stay clear.

Avantages

Easy as an employee to use for submitting expenses

Inconvénients

How do I stress that their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced? Ever,..from any company!! If you need help, prepare to wait for days (and maybe more days) before you will get an email answer. Items/problems that a phone call would likely solve in 20 minutes will take you a week to complete because of the back and forth and wait time in between. The representatives will not read your emails carefully and will ask questions you already gave answers and then your wait time is yet extended again for anything helpful. You will never speak to a person!!! I even scheduled an online appointment two days in advance and they cancelled 3 minutes before the designated start time because they emailed me and asked me a question and decided they wanted me to do this in another department. It was a question that they should have known about my account since it is their application.

Expensify is making personal expense reporting so much easier (minus the technology learning...

The software makes expense reporting super easy! After the initial set-up and learning curve, it saves time from both an employee who submits the report and the person that approves the report.

Avantages

Expensify's best feature is that you can easily add an expense to an expense report at the time of creating the expense (snapping a picture with a smartphone app) rather than waiting until the end of the month to create the whole thing. Since we arranged our settings to auto submit, a report gets sent on a timetable that works for us (monthly). This feature allows expenses from piling up.

The set-up felt intuitive to me. We were able to adjust it to our own General Ledger codes.

Features like emailing receipts to the expense report and smart scanning (the app attempts to read and auto-fill each receipt) makes completing the report much easier.

Our office doesn't use direct deposit to bank accounts after the report is properly approved, but it does have that feature.

Inconvénients

We are trying to implement the software office-wide, and those who don't like technology changes find it hard to adjust to using the app. So they scan and email the receipts to themselves to add them to the online software. I feel like they have more steps than a paper expense report.

They do not have non-profit pricing. Our department is the only department currently using the software and I doubt if the whole building ever will because the price is geared toward corporations.

Simplify the process of managing your receipt and expenses using this cloud-based application.

Avantages

The mobile and website interface is very user-friendly and easy to set up and implement. It provides a lot of integrations with other accounting tools like QuickBooks and NetSuite that helps in facilitating direct reimbursements. From the time you get your receipts, it automates the expense reporting process. Manual entry is eliminated, reducing majority of errors by employment of OCR technology. They provide attractive and affordable monthly plans. While you sync your corporate card, all your transactions get synced automatically. You don’t have to wait till you reach your office to scan your receipts, you can just take a photo of the receipt and upload it. You can categorize and put filters to your expenses. It eliminates paper receipts by using these scanned receipts. Reduction in the time consumed for reviewal, approval and reimbursement process.

Inconvénients

Few configuration settings only available for admins. The customer service takes a lot of time to respond. Provides limited reporting capabilities. The absence of a reminder feature.

Highly Secure But Somewhat Painful

Frustrating, but partially due to the way the account was set up and not the software itself. Make sure your company does a thorough job with implementation and has a great internal admin for the software.

Avantages

The receipt scanning from your phone is fantastic. And the fact that you can forward receipts to them. Seriously makes the process so easy.

Inconvénients

To be honest, the only thing that's tricky is that it's so secure that if your admin doesn't set something up properly, they're the only person who can fix it.

For example, my account was set up with only one person for approvals but a second person needed to be added. So I had to make sure I manually submitted each reimbursement with that person CCed or else the software would automatically send the expense report to only the default recipient.

And you can't copy over the receipts in your expense reports. So when I had to resubmit expense reports, I had to manually download each receipt and then reupload them and resubmit.

Customer support is nice but their default response is to connect with your company's account admin.

Not the best expenses register app i used

not even one, in my travel time i saw myself in the need to look for other apps

Avantages

I used this app in a bussines travel to keep a detail register of the expenses to give it to my boss, and i can say taht the features are great, the tools like SmartScan make things quickly and detail, but i really have not much to say

Inconvénients

At first look is not a very friendly app, the UI is complicate if you do not have expertecy with this caint of software. Some times it get bug and you get multiples register o non at all. The customer service is to slow and it take time to solve some issues

Loving Expensify

We just started using it and it's amazing. So easy to use and we're justing getting into it. Switched over from another expense tool and this is so much better. I recommend checking it out and trying it for yourself. So much automation and planning so less you have to worry about and manage from doing your expenses to signing off on them.

Avantages

Super easy, fully automated. You can map out and plan when your expenses are sent out form daily to weekly cadences. Checks in with you to make sure everything is up to date and that your expenses are done on time and you get your money back right away. Anyone can easily use it even if you've never done expenses or needed to do them before. I see a cool feature for next day or rapid reimbursement.

Inconvénients

To be honest I have yet to find anything wrong with Expensify or any issues. Time will tell if the notifications can become bothersome or an annoying issue but we shall see.

Expensive our virtual expenses accountant

Avantages

It has done pretty much easier to document people's expenses and reports documented by using Expensify.It is as easy as uploading a picture of your receipts and they will be scanned by the Expensify team and provide you with an expense report.

Inconvénients

It makes it harder when a picture has been submitted with bad quality or not showing the correct amount or merchant.

Expensify is the best software to track my expenses that I use to manage my expenses.

I love using Expensify to track my expenses because of the cool interface. I like that it has helped me achieve some form of financial discipline over time by observing my expense therefore, I like the benefits it provides in my life.

Avantages

What I like about Expensify is that it makes it so easy to track my expenses and keep track of my spending hence it helps me make informed decisions regarding my money and expenses.

Inconvénients

The things I don't like about Expensify are that it is not free. I also don't like that it requires to have a credit card to use its service as it makes me uncomfortable over the security of my credit card information.

Expensify is a great tool for tracking individual expenses

This has made tracking expenses simpler for fuel purchases! It's great too see how much fuel is purchased and which employee is purchasing it.

Avantages

Expensify is really easy to use. It's as simple as snapping a photo of a receipt and closing the app. The software is able to extract information from the receipt and automatically add the total/vendor etc to a ledger. This makes calculating expenses for fuel, purchases very simple.

Inconvénients

It's not a great solution for a company that has multiple employees in the field making purchases for multiple projects. We have to manually sort through transactions and match them to individual jobs. It would be great to be able to assign a job to it that syncs with quickbooks automatically.

Avantages

Expensify is easy to use, they have a great app, and it works from a user standpoint as well as the administrators that need to approve expenses.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the amount of expenses are automatically pulled from the receipt as an incorrect number. Also, there is no way to delete a $0 expense report.
