Supplier and audi module need updating. No fields for title for contacts. Fields not long enough for some data being entered.

It is a very useful tool in our day to day operations for creating, collaborating, routing, and storing documents as well conducting training.

Inconvénients

While it is aesthetically pleasing, there are parts of it that are not as user friendly as it seems. One of the biggest chanllenges that our company faces on daily basis is the inability to effiecntly pull information across modules such as in a training or document report.

I really like that it is so easy to use and that it is reliable. Getting audited a lot, it is important to have a system that is robust and takes care of all your documents. The support is a big component about why it is reliable. They are always available to troubleshoot in times of need

A lot of patches, but like any software that is normal. They do a great job in getting bugs fixed quickly.

It is very easy to use. I am not very fluent is software application, but can follow it.

I do not like having to go back to a main menu/screen once I've entered a screen in order for the screen to refresh. Specific example: current usage page. (currently using 2018.3, on premise)

Avantages

The best thing about MasterControl is the integration of the various modules. It is great to be able to have Documents, Training, a Process Form suite, Audit & Supplier Suite (and other modules) all in one centralized system. The Documents linking is great.

Inconvénients

I feel that the system falls VERY short on ease of finding information and Reporting (getting data out) and overall GUI organization making the End-User Experience way more complicated than it needs to be.

Makes everything easier and streamlines the process. Very easy to use. Allowed for us to but new processes in place and remove the paper processes. Support.

Inconvénients

The LDAP Import tool, Java, and the reporting tool. I do not really have any other cons. This is a good application.

We like document and training modules. This software has reduced loads of paper and reduced the efforts of managing wet paper signatures. The tool is easy to handle with respect to Document Workflows, assigning trainings, , managing users etc.

A complete training compliance report is missing. We need to look 2 - 3 canned reports to get consolidated report.

A total quality management system with all modules (Docs, Training, Change control, deviation, CAPA, Event, Market Complaint) integrated with each other.
Best thing is E-forms-you can build any form that you use manually as electronic form with tracking.
Best Validation support with TOQ and TPQ.

Bugs fix, Some times no workaround, just to toss around.

This product is good for storage and organization of important files that can be viewed by employees who enter their usernames and passwords.

Inconvénients

This software is very effective and the only major flaw is the cost of the service. A lower price would be very beneficial.

Avantages

Turning our training and document control systems from a paper based system to electronic has been amazing. The automation of tasks and trustworthy electronic signature are the best elements of these modules. The VxT module made planning our PQ seamless.

Inconvénients

Whereas for basic users this is a simple system, I think that a lot of what should be simple tasks are very complicated. Raising a change request is a 20 - 25+ step process. Creating a virtual folder is a 10+ step task. It is like the back end has become so complex to keep all the moving parts connected it is manifesting in the front end.

It’s one of countless document control management systems that I will see over the years. It’s very well-liked. Change control (controlling document versions/revisions/changes/comments) is seamless. Sometimes it’s the simplicity of a system that is most helpful. This one is a little complex but offers a lot (cross-functional to multiple programs/departments) and is great for streamlining documentation across multiple business sites.

I think that most companies would really enjoy this cross-functional business solution. I think it’s just a matter of money.

Its impressive like how easy it is to use the system and how the quality documents can be kept in a central system instead of the multiple systems we had been using before. The service offered by MasterControl has been excellent and system setup was easy thanks to a very good support. Customer Service team, as they responds quickly and offer good solutions.

Reporting could be better. More felxibility in some processes to make them more configurable by the end user.
