Easy to install, easy to use. This software provides a safe connect via web. I installed it in all my devices and I´m not afraid to use free connections or that my information can be revised by others.

I´m user of the free version and for everything the software offers I believe that no there is cons. However, I feel the window of the program is too little

What I liked the most about this software was the ease of use. It is extremely simple and user friendly, making it a great VPN for first time users (of VPNs).

What I did not like was that it was not the most effective VPN. When I was in the Netherlands, I tried to use TunnelBear to watch the NCAA Tournament because you have to be in the US, but cbs.com was easily able to pick up that I was traveling abroad and not in the US and restricted my access to watch the tournament.

Even in the Website extension the UI are clean and simple. The free version offers a lot of server option in my opinion and also give the users 500 MB data per-month and renew every month. The connection speed also not slow not too fast. Don't forget to mention the logo of this VPN is really Interesting

Connecting to VPN server seems slow in some case but other than that I've never found any trouble using this app

1- There is no compatibility between this VPN and OpenVPN and there is no OpenVPN profile generation. So the VPN Port is fixed and can be blocked by network administrators easily.
2-By sniffing tools the server IP of VPN Server is distinguished and it can be blocked easily.
3- Because of the mentioned weak points, it is not suitable for bypassing blocked websites and users can use it just for changing their IP's and removing their footprints.

One of TunnelBears selling point is that it is extremely simple to use and I feel definitely targeted towards people who are less tech literate. This makes it a great piece of software for your parents, to ensure that they are safe online. Another positive for TunnelBear is that there is a free tier. Granted it only gives 500MB a month of data but if you are a light internet user this might cover you for at least some of the month.

Inconvénients

Unfortunately, TunnelBear is a little more expensive than other Virtual Private Network (VPN) services.

TunnelBear is pretty useful. it hides your identity well. You can use it on your phone and computer at the same time. It provides plenty of lo options for locations. The free service of TunnleBear is quite good and it is very much affordable as a VPN. The visual is also very interesting.

there are not much to complain about TunnelBear. Just sometimes the connection gets slow. It would be better if the app can get connected with more survers.

I really liked their client for my workstation. I was able to download/connect to the VPN quickly and easily. It doesn't get much simpler to connect to a VPN.

TunnelBear was bought by McAfee recently. As such, their reputation has drastically went down. They cannot be trusted to keep your information private anymore as they are based in the US and are subject to any log-keeping laws the US imposes.

Although, the set-up of the software was easy enough what I did not like was the very limited locations available to connect to. Also, at times when you were connected to one location, you would be bumped off that location and immediately taken to another location. The purpose of a VPN is to secure one location so when your IP address is pinging in different locations, that doesn't look legitimate and may raise some problems depending on what site you are currently on.

I like TunnelBear because it is very easy to use, it works fast and well and also shows you how much data you have already spent in vpn mode. Great for accessing some services that might not be available in your area. I use both desktop app and browser extension. Both work as intended. You'll need to register an account to start using it.

500mb free data limit is sometimes not enough, but since it's a free trial this is not a serious issue.

I have to say that this is a tool I have really enjoyed using. I was hesitant at the beginning if it would be too complicated to use since I had a pressing need to access a site that was not accessible in my country.
I found it extremely easy to use and I had the possibility to switch access as If I were a user physically located in those places.

At the moment I couldn't find any particular feature that I could consider annoying or out of place. In my personal taste I'd think the UI it's way too cartoonish/animated. I'm not sure if it's intentionally directed to the less technical users. I personally did not like this but it does not' affect the overall functionality of the app.

It is an excellent VPN to navigate because although it slows down the speed of the Internet it is little compared to other VPNs, and allows you to simulate the connection from any of the 20 available countries, which allows access to portals and information pages as CNN in Spanish blocked in Venezuela by the government and securely connected to a public network to perform different procedures where passwords, bank card numbers, among others, are involved.

Allows me "appear" to be in my home country even when I am traveling abroad. Some websites automatically block foreign traffic. Even Google doesn't allow me to have the "shopping" option if I appear in some countries. With TunnelBear, I am able to show up in my country of origin and do the shopping or research I need, without physically being there.

I haven't had any trouble with TunnelBear. I did need to uninstall the program on a device and the little cartoons gave me a little bit of a guilt trip. The animation is great actually.
