I love the animations that occur when using the software, it brings an aura of fun to the user journey and creates an easy motion for the user to follow that shows how the VPN works. The burrowing bear going from one continent to the next is absolutely adorable and makes me happy every time.

And of course, the service is useful for anyone who values privacy.

Inconvénients

The software requires a subscription payment, I cannot afford to use it for long due to this reason, but I wholly understand that the service needs money in order to operate and I am happy to support them up to a point.

The fact that you can just select a country and be able to see streaming apps, for example I am from Costa Rica and ABC and CBS apps only work on US, and with this software I was able to see tv shows that I wanted to see on real time and not wait months for them to arrive to my country.
The UI is intuitive and easy to use, and the fact that they make animations of the bear making the tunnel and appearing on the other country is make fun.

Inconvénients

500mb for a free trial seems to be little and then you need to tweet something to get more, that is not very nice to force you to promote the app.
Also the speed test show a decent speed but reduces a 12% to 15% your current speed, so I recommend having a high speed package.

It supports 20+ countries to choose from. Performance is good on most servers, so you can use this VPN service for regular work. It supports 256-bit AES encryption, so you can be sure about your privacy. You can use TunnelBear as an desktop app and as plugin for Chrome. Price is not expensive and very affordable.

Connection speed varies on different servers. Sometimes you can be automatically log out from account if you use plugin.

I tried Tunnel Bear when I was deciding on a new VPN service after I stopped using my old one. It had good reviews and was one of the top 10 I decided to try.

Out of all the VPNs I tried I had the most technical issues with Tunnel Bear, so I ended going with a different company as it was also one of the more expensive ones.

I've been using different VPN's throughout the years and must say TunnelBear is the best one. It's very easy to install and has a free package of 500mb each day. When installed you can choose different countries to mask your IP address.

Only thing I could think of is that it is not free to use, but it is worth every penny.

Tunnel Bear has a very unique and awesome UI. It feels very millennial, and is super easy to use. Not sure if this is still a feature, but you could get 1GB a month on VPN just by sharing a tweet.

I really love how fun it was. It had funny quips, very cute illustrations and was very, very easy to use. Plus, it covered all the countries that I wanted to use—Singapore, US, Australia and South Korea. The interface was intuitive and using it always put a smile on my face. Note that I didn't really use this for streaming video, so I can't comment about my experience on that.

What I like about TunnelBear is the overall look and feel of the product. I'm a beginner in terms of using VPN, as I don't need it as much, but the presentation of TunnelBear is very easy to follow. The blocker option provided is very customizable which allows blocking specific types of tracker and the fact that it is available as browser VPN and as an installation software also makes it widely popular.

There is no direct tool for a Linux system that has limited support and there is no corporate payment plan which results in use of a single account payment plan.

I enjoyed the availability of the software, it is free for use and you get 500 mb of data to use every month, to first try the software.
Another good thing is that the software is very easy to use. Installing takes 2-5 minutes as you can have it in your chrome extensions.
And you have a lot of options - 23 different countries!

TunnelBear is a free VPN that is trustworthy. It is fully legit and will work as a standard VPN. It includes all of the basic features that a VPN needs to have, and gives and good base experience.

Inconvénients

The VPN has a lack of premium features due to it being a free VPN. So don’t expect anything like bypassing Netflix regions. There is also a data limit so you don’t get unlimited data with the VPN. Also the bear noise made when switching countries is annoying.
