- No family subscription (2 persons) which makes it even more expensive
- I'd love having the possibility to visualise and organise the photo backups in a neat Webbrowser based UI, such as eg Synology Photos
- No APIs (at least not in the Professional Account) that would allow me to integrate the photos with an external, web-based solution (eg. a CMS)

Avantages

I mostly use it as a secure backup of my personal data. I love the automatic sync feature: set it and forget it. I occasionally share some files with others that time out and I also store my password vault within Tresorit. I highly appreciate that the company operates under Swiss laws.

Inconvénients

User must trust Tresorit. Full trust can only be gained with open source code. It would be nice to pick the physical location of my files.

Die einfache Handhabung. Die Software liefert alles, was ich für mein Unternehmen zum Datenaustausch benötige. Hauptvorteile ist für mich, dass man nicht ständig neue Passwörter benötigt.

Avantages

As a private user, my #1 requirement was secure storage accessible from multiple devices and operating systems, which Tresorit implements excellently (Including Linux!). It is one of the only providers with file history, thus making the product excellent not only as storage, but as a backup option as well. The customer service reacts quickly and provides helpful answers. I fully recommend Tresorit.

Inconvénients

Tresorit offfers significantly less space than competitors for the same amount of money. This is unfortunate, but still on the "ok" side of things. However, I'm really missing the following features:
- Allow other users to edit shared files without a Tresorit account
- Lifetime subscriptions
- Fully integrate the Android app with Android's filesystem

Other providers offer only a subset of Tresorit's features. In particular, I was missing Linux support and solid, seamless encryption. However, other competitors offer lifetime subscriptions, which is a feature that I'm still missing in Tresorit.

Positive features are the end-to-end encryption and secure file sharing with my clients and knowing noone even on Tresor can access your files

Inconvénients

If you're a sole trader and don't have an IT department to sort out snags that the troubleshooting articles don't address, then be prepared to wait and wait and wait till you get answers- and be prepared to also not have your questions answered at all.

It took 1.5 weeks for someone to even send me the demo video , by which time I had long already started using the free trial. I could have used the info earlier. I still haven't heard back almost 2 weeks later about another question I had, even though I laid it out very clearly and took screen shots .

I suspect that if you're a larger company you get priority service but really this isn't acceptable. It's the one thing that really is disappointing about Tresorit. The end result is a lot of frustration and a lot of time-wasting. Please do something about this!

Since it features client-side end-to-end encryption, it offers a more private experience than that of Dropbox, Google, Amazon, Apple & co. User experience is also good.

Inconvénients

Chatted with their support team, and they didn't seem incredibly friendly nor knowledgeable. Additionally, Tresorit doesn't feature file distribution like Internxt's X Cloud do.

The firm pays $ 50,000 to the one who can take down its security system. If your data is valuable, consider Tresorit service as an alternative.

Basic package somewhat limited, but if you are a security-conscious user, this doesn't matter so much.
