I liked about Google chat most is that you can have conversations with businesses, or program/software developers as well as people from your own contacts list or teambase.

Inconvénients

Nothing, everything about Google chat is great.

Its very connected to other google tools: google meets, docs, etc. If you are a small enterprise this is a very good tool.

I felt like it was not as complete as other chats that are in the market.

I liked how our company can instantly reach another team member while continuing to work without disruption

Sometimes when we don't get a notification that someone messaged us and it is minimized so you just have to make sure to pay attention at the bottom of the screen

Google chat makes instant messaging easy and seamless. I have google chat both on my desktop and mobile, and the experience on both are great! Very user friendly, and easy to adjust/migrate to after using other communication tools.

Nothing off the top of my mind, I enjoy google chat a lot, and love that the mobile instance allows you to toggle between other google products like Gmail

If you have the Gmail platform for your team... Its there, it works, it works well. There is nothing to dislike about the chats. Mobile or PC, its there, simple, easy to implement and communicate with your team without any third-party apps

There isnt a whole lot of cons to it, other than mobile I guess. If they are on IOS, they have to download the app etc, its not already there. Still works well, just added steps.

The connection is great and it's nice to see which of my teammates are active. It's helpful to be able to send direct messages and make group chats. Also, I love everything dark mode, so I can always thank Google Chat for that.

I am a hybrid employee, and I find it very simple to stay in touch with my coworkers around shared projects even when I’m not physically in the office. I also like that I can quickly ask a question even if the person I’m messaging is in a meeting.

I love that Google Chat is right there with my work email - same screen, same interface. I also love the mobile option - keeps us all aware of chats even if we step away from computer. We are a remote office so this is very important for us. It is simple and easy to use. We love not having to use another product in addition to our G Suite

It has changed here and there with notifications and appearnace but this is not a huge deal.

I used Google Chat when working at an organization whose operations were all in Google-suite and who had a very small team (4-6 staff). For really small teams, Google Chat may be the better option when buying a chatting/team communication software may not be worth it. Plus, Google Chat is integrated with your gmail and google drive.

Inconvénients

The functions of Google Chat are much more limited compared to Slack or Teams. It's best for direct messaging as it doesn't have a subthread or channel feature like Slack. Messages sent in Chat also expire rather quickly, unlike Slack which usually retains messages for 90 days.

Best option for companies who have different sets of teams and for immediate contact without worrying they will get lost in your texts.

I think that for the video call ability, have the room owner be able to block filters and backgrounds from being used. Having a group video call and certain individuals putting on silly filters/backgrounds during a meeting is not only distracting but should be able to be stopped by the room owner.

Is about the same as others and I don't like that soon it turns cold and not like or as I wish I would expect; don't know maybe is the tone and conversation I'm having; still there should be and I look forward for a new platform that will have assisted all of this; even though, is promising but soon falls not being different from usual or other chats.
