Easy to understand, ease of use, and sense of the operation of automation and scripting
As automation of script files and file execution, the feel of operation in the system is easy to understand. I started from a place I had never used, but it felt that way. In a nutshell, it is an image of the Linux Cron and Windows task scheduler. It is easy to manage problems that have been resolved, specific effects and CI/CD processing details. When the agent load increases, there is no need to respond manually; automatic escalation will distribute the load. The file (Jenkinsfile) describing the functions, points and CI/CD processing that contributed to the problem can also be managed in the Git repository as a set with the source code, so it is easy to check the processing details and modify the Jenkinsfile.
Avantages
The amount of information in the search results is significant, and it is easy to operate because it is free (easy to stop in case of emergency). A Docker agent and JenkinsX are also available, so they are compatible with the latest technology. Because it can be used not only on-premises but also with Kubernetes, it is helpful because the learned technology can be used for a long time, even if the stage changes.
Inconvénients
Since the configuration screen is displayed in a tabbed format, there are times when you cannot see what you want to edit unless you show it at the bottom of the browser screen.

The best open source business process automation in the market
Despite its one drawback Jenkins is the most suitable tool for process automation for most businesses. It requires a bit of specialised knowledge but is not so complicated as to require consultation with a specialist. The ability to set up chron jobs and the infinite flexibility in setting up jobs means that companies can use Jenkins to create the most custom-fit solution for themselves.
Avantages
Jenkins has excellent process automation capabilities and extensive features supporting it. You can create pipelines and jobs to support CICD projects. You also have extensive flexibility to set up the ideal job fitting your needs. There are also integrations to the widely used version control solutions. Moreover, Jenkins can be used in other programs using groovy and other programming languages. Jenkins is also a locally deployable solution, making it suitable for preventing security threats.
Inconvénients
The access control tools in Jenkins are inadequate for big projects with multiple levels of stakeholders. More often than not, this requires numerous instances of Jenkins running to prevent unauthorised access.

Jenkins is great open source continuous integration tool for large scale applications.
I have used Jenkins for few projects with team members, we used it because we needed more flexibility at configuration. It is the only choice when you need more control over integration and testing. It is hard to configure and install but that is the trade-off for control over customization and configuration. Jenkins is free of cost itself although you need to server to host it. We use Jenkins only for projects which require more configuration and security.
Avantages
Currently Jenkins is the only CI tool which has the largest set of plugins, it gives you more control over how it should work, like you can customize pipeline of continuous integration and delivery. There are plugins allow you to run Jenkins in kubernetes and docker but we never ran it on containers. Huge number of plugins available for Jenkins which allow you to integrate with other tools and customize it to your needs, plugins are available at Jenkins update center. Great thing about Jenkins is it work on windows, Linux and mac OS. Cost of using Jenkins is free because its open source although you need server to host it, you must maintain and update and that's your responsibility.
Inconvénients
Jenkins is not easy to use you need to configure it and host it before using unlike tools like travis CI which is ready to be used.
Learning curve is steep because it has lot of features and customization which is little bit hard at start.
Hosting server is needed to host Jenkins, which means you also need to pay for hosting.
Maintenance and updation is user responsibility.

Automation testing tool for beginners to experts
Basically I am Full Stack developer, But I am doing Testing, UI/UX, SEO and more because I am working in startup company. Jenkins is my first test tool and this last testing tool also because it's very easy to learn no need any experience to learn Jenkins. Second thing Jenkins didn't take more space in your laptop because it's run completely run in website just minimum setups only have in your system and more easy to integrate. My side opinion Jenkins don't have the drawbacks it's really very well of all testers.
Avantages
The main reason to like Jenkins' is online interface, which offers integrated assistance and real-time error checking, makes it simple to set up and configure. The second thing it's very easy handle and they provide lots of plugins for pipeline project automation testing. Thirdly, there is The Continuous Delivery feature makes software delivery more dependable, automated, and efficient, which promotes better cooperation, quicker software releases, and higher-quality software overall. These are the reasons why I continue to use Jenkins

For all your CI/CD needs!
I use Jenkins primarily to run builds for all of our repos and execute a large number of automated tests. It is incredibly useful to manage CI tasks and activity across many repos.
Avantages
I've been using Jenkins for several years and find it extremely useful in solving any CI scenario from easy to very complex. With its rich library of plugins and active community, it's relatively easy to develop and debug pipelines. I like that some plugins provide embedded pages within builds for things like test reports, commit history, etc. Jenkins can also be easily integrated with a large number of external applications.
Inconvénients
In my experience with Jenkins, I find plugin management to be the most troublesome. It is often the case, that plugins are no longer maintained, lack documentation, or break things with upgrades.

A solid choice for CI/CD at scale
Still the gold standard for CI/CD. Look elsewhere if you are running complex pipelines as there are tools better suited to it.
Avantages
Relatively straight forward to use once its setup and well tuned. Developers know it, and its easy to hire devops folks with lots of Jenkins experience.
Inconvénients
The access control story is still convoluted and requires attention. Easy to make mistakes. Setup is improved but still not as easy as newer competitors. Complicated pipelines are likely better suited to more modern tools

Avantages
I like it's flexibility. You can almost do whatever you want with it.
Inconvénients

Incredibly flexible CI/CD
Jenkins is one of the most known CI/CD tools on the market. It is outstandingly flexible and can be easily adapted to companies' needs without unnecessary concessions. The enormous number of plugins that allows various actions makes the usage incredibly adaptable. To tell the truth, sometimes plugins are deprecated and old, but the most important ones are quickly updated to the latest versions. Free and reasonably priced paid versions are a huge advantage on the market - it is one of the reasons for Jenkins being widely used across companies. Great customer support and documentation makes usage convenient. What is more, Jenkins has a big community that is actively participating in the project. If any problem occurs, it is probably resolved on the internet - in some forum or in the documentation.
However, not everything is so great. The biggest flaw of Jenkins is its lack of intuitiveness. Because it contains a huge number of features, it may be too complex, especially for new users that do not have an experience in CI/CD. Also, the design is quite cumbersome and can look outdated.
All in all, Jenkins is an amazing tool for CI/CD and I strongly recommend it to everyone who needs a flexible utility for pipelines management and monitoring.

Jenkins - Feature Rich tool for CI/CD but ugly UI
Jenkins is an absolutely great tool for CI/CD & testing of your source code repositories. It allows branching strategies to work seamlessly & enables administrator to give very specific roles to users as well. One of the best things I like about Jenkins is the ability to re-run any failed pipeline & simply removing the stages that are not required to be run again so it can focus on failed part only.
Avantages
Jenkins provides best & seamless integrations with any source code repositories. It's very easy to get started with Continuous integration, continuous delivery & testing environment with Jenkins. It also has huge number of plugins to help create pipelines in a complex use-case. Can be easily integrated with slack or other messaging platform for alerts. Also allows easy scheduling & re-run for failed pipelines.
Inconvénients
Feature wise Jenkins is great, but it comes with a very outdated UI which I just find ugly. Navigation & feature enablement can be rather easy if they work on their UI & make it up to mark with other alternatives like circleCI

Powerful CICD tool to handle all stage in pipeline
We use Jenkins as the main CICD in our project, we organize jobs with similar function into Group, we create jobs for the build, compile, and unit test each time a developer check-in their code to a specified branch and build a new version of artifact when having master branch commit. We add some additional plugin and create Jenkins jobs for run system test, automation test, and integration test automatically when having new commit to master and have jobs for deploy our new code to destination VMs on demand.
Avantages
Jenkins is very simple to installation and configuration as standalone or cluster, just a few clicks to get Jenkins ready, it is flexible and easy to create Pipeline and Job from UI or by YML file. Jenkins support many plugins allows it easy to integrate with other tool and software such as AWS, Sonar, JMeter... and Jenkins support almost major language and OS.
Inconvénients
Jenkins UI is simple and it is hard for manage when we have a large number of jobs and pipelines. It does not have features for tracking job history, sometimes accident deletes or changes a job and we unable to recover it.

Jenkins make the SDLC more easy
Avantages
Most of the IT companies are using jenkins to automate the SDLC that means automating steps like build, test and deploy. With jenkins we can build pipelines with customized workflows to automate. This gives high security and integrate with other tools like AWS and kubernetes. A very flexible tool that I use to enhance the quality of a software.

I use the pipeline automated by jenkins everyday and that saves my time a lot and would like to highly recommend this to anyone.
Avantages
Most of the IT companies are using jenkins to automate testing, building and deployment stages of the code. We can configure jenkins to automatically trigger these steps when code merge happens to the repository. If the deployment or build got failed, I go through the jenkins logs and find the issue. There's a big community support for jenkins and we can get tech help from them.

A great tool for deployment control
We use Jenking along with BitBucket which is our main Git repository for version control. These tools are connected so that we use the master branch in BitBucket to switch and update versions between our different environments like DEV, Test and PROD.
Avantages
I like the fact that Jenkins is a really customizable tool for deployments. In your Jenkins jobs you can choose between deploying some of the features of your branch and also impose rules of deployment like what will be deployed first and last to check for dependencies and prevent errors.
Inconvénients
There is nothing that I do not like in Jenkings. The UI is very simple and easy to use. The only thing I could say here is that some times the errors in the console output are not very straight forward in order to understand what component of the deployment really failed.

The best free and open source option on the market to task automation
Around 2007 my team selected it to automate the deployment process and some server maintenance processes. In that time I passed a few days around studing the real importance of the tool reading tecnical papers. We even integrated it with a chat tool so the deployment was performed through the company's chat bot triggered by anyone who had access to the user's contact monitored by jenkins. Over time I came to use it in other companies as developer operator only, most of the time the start of execution was not automatic but always integrated or with github.com or with Atlassian Bitbucket and Amazon CodeCommit. At the moment I use it as a developer and its integration is completely automated.
Avantages
Jenkins provides out of the box hundreds of plugins and it is very simple to build plugins to integrat to it. You can choose a development language of your choice and build a script to do whatever you need. It's simple as that
Inconvénients
As it have a high importance in the execution flow, it ends up having a status of superiority towards the operators that it builds as an aura, so it is common for people to feel afraid to operate it in the first moments and if the tool is not well configured with a well-defined authorities for users, it can actually pose a certain risk to the operation. But after it is well configured and after a few days of use, this aura is by passed and its use becomes utterly positive.

Jenkins is your CI/CD powerhouse software on skinny wallet
Very positive. Would recommend to anyone or company who has a need to automate their software development and might not be willing to spend the big bucks to get there right now.
Avantages
Installation was easy, and the pipelines work religiously well. Executors handle Java memory allocation well. Love the plugins. You don't have to know how to write code to use some of the popular ones. I didn't use the cloud hosted option, but I know people who have who love it.
Inconvénients
Some of the authentication stuff is a little confusing, but if you're on a small team it's probably easier to keep your installation secure that if you use it for a large organization with oAuth or SSO.
