They thought of everything....

I have been using Xola for about 2 years. Due to change in location I am FORCED to change to another booking/marketing software company. I have been using the new company for about a month now. NOT EVEN CLOSE to Xola for ease of use . It is simple. Customer service is top notch.
Xola CHAT is the way to go. I didn't think I'd like this at first. But it is super efficient. I can start a chat at 5 am when I'm doing my book work. I don't have to talk to anyone at this early hour. I don't have to hold my phone while entering data. My questions are answered and problems solved immediately.
New company...I have to email or call. I choose to call as I usually need help immediately. Phone is not always answered and I have to leave a message. When someone calls me back, they usually tell me it's "so and so's" department and that they'll pass the message along....WHAT? To me, this is not 24-7 customer service....
Use...
When changing a price for an item (which I do frequently for special events) it is a simple process and gratuity (since it is entered as a percentage) is automatically updated to the new base price. Unlike the new system I'm using (have to go back and update/add the gratuity. An additional step.
Xola reports are detailed. They break down base, tax, processing, gratuity and refunds....
Although I haven't had much experience with the new companies reports, it seems to be lacking (so far)....
I WISH I did not have to change over. If you're undecided, TRUST ME...Xola is the way to go....

it always serves my needs

Avantages

nice and reliable, good not to have any red color in the theme, it loads fast and works on different platforms

Inconvénients

coupon function is placed in a not easy to find location, android apps are strange , no reason why do you have two of them when none of them is perfect

We have had complaints from our guests about the booking calendar that have not been fixed...

Avantages

Overall platform and modality of being able to receive bookings online. Being able to accept bookings on iPhone and all paper work and administration of booking now handled and all receipts, reminders sent to guests. The POS & service fee/percentage is very competitive and certainly an important factor as well.

Inconvénients

We have seasonality associated with our offerings and the booking calendar does not default to the start date or month - which mean our guests are scrolling through blank calendar pages and not sure why or what's going on? Seems like that would be an easy fix but seemingly not as we have been waiting for over two weeks for update that has not happened yet. We were told yesterday it would but were sent email saying delay again. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have thought about that as they are dealing with tour operators and many our seasonal?

XOLA is a terrific, easy to use method to facilitate bookings and payments to your business.

Avantages

Ease of use, good reporting capabilities. XOLA is intuitive and a user can quickly come up to speed.

Inconvénients

I'd REALLY like to be able to determine how frequently transfers are made to our checking account.

I like Xola and I often recommend it. It is very user friendly

Avantages

When training new hires, it sure makes that easy, since it is so intuitive. It's a 1000x better than our old system of pen and paper and it seems to me to be better than Fareharbor.

Inconvénients

I least like the iOS app. I like that there is an app, but it seems to be missing a lot of the features available through the website on my browser. I don't expect every single feature to be available and maybe there is more than I'm aware of, but I definitely think the app could use some work.

Flexible and Different Pricing Models Available

I've yet to find the perfect booking system but we did take a pass on Xola after the free trial. When we initially looked at it, the model of charging clients a service fee for the booking was extremely off putting. At this point, they have different models to work with which include a flat monthly fee which is much more palatable. If we ever get upset at our current booking system, we would probably move to Xola next.

Avantages

- Flexible & easy to use
- Intuitive
- Mobile aps & desktop availability
- Very nice interface

Inconvénients

Not really any helpful resources to get your problem solved. You can solve it over chat but that can be annoying at times.

You can't integrate with MailChimp or TripAdvisor Review express.

Requests don't seem to get applied very quickly.

We use Xola daily to book trips, schedule guides and allocate resources for tours.

Avantages

The responsiveness of customer support is unparalleled. Xola has worked with our company extensively to tailor the experience to our business.

Inconvénients

Linking dissimilar trips that use shared resources has proven to be difficult at times. Some of our trips have different departure times that are difficult to identify in the system.

It has been a seamless transition and easy to learn how to use for all of our employees.

Avantages

The dashboard is great. It is easy to see what is available and book guests efficiently. The entire booking process is so user friendly from the initial booking to changing anything about the reservation to cancelling and refunding. Our staff had a really easy time learning Xola. The 24/7 support is great as well. Whether it is chatting right on the dashboard or giving them a call, everyone has been super helpful in answering every question we have had. As a rafting company it is important we do not overbook and being able to control the seats per trip so easily was a great help to us. The mobile app is great as well and we is used often when checking in trips away from our office computers. We would recommend this booking software and will be using it for years to come. Can't wait to see what updates they have for us next!

Inconvénients

The only cons for us are the reports are not super easy for our accounting department but she makes it work. We are also still trying to figure out the best way to book private boats for our company.

Inconvénients

This product is awesome in every way apart from the ability to track sales in Google Analytics if made from a Mobile device. I'm aware this is being looked at, and once implememented, the solution will be nigh on perfect

Major upgrade to our previous system and has worked fantastically for us

The major benefit is having a system that is designed around the type of business we have and one that allows us to open up an online booking system, hugely advancing our ability to connect with customers.

Avantages

Clean layout, easy to use, lots of features. Allows us to utilize the online booking feature so we can open up to more people. Experiences with customer support have always been smooth and well handled.

XOLA has an intuitive feel that makes it easy for employees and clients to use. It is also flexible enough to be manipulated into almost any application

Inconvénients

some annoying email settings that can't be changed (collect pending balance). Also the user accounts need some work so multiple users or admins can receive email alerts.

The Best Booking Software Available

They make it easy for our customers to book tours with us. After-all, if the customer has a difficult time booking or can't book with us our business would suffer greatly! They are the first impression that our customer has with our business.

Great for guides

Avantages

Xola provides me with all the information I require as a guide. I get notifications about tours along with instructions and details about the guests.

Inconvénients

Mobile app is just OK and could do with some more features.

Well structured system. Great customer service.

Live customer service. User friendly system. Organized so I could keep our bookings organized and usually never had a problem with the system itself.

Avantages

Organized and constantly doing upgrades. 24 hour customer service is extremely helpful since we work nights. Easy system to learn and use.

Inconvénients

Wish there was a few more things we could do with the system for us specifically as an escape room. Wish the app was more user friendly and could do more.

Outfitter review after 2 years use

We had a system with Adventure Office that met our needs but it was much slower. We also had better access to our client base for marketing direct from AO. Xola has a lot of things that need improving.

Avantages

It is an easy booking process / support is great /

Inconvénients

The reporting system is inadequate and leaves much work to be done at the end of the season when we must pay our agencies! Biggest downfall and maybe a good reason to change as it's only in development and we can't wait any longer.

Was very easy to get going initially. Xola staff and support have been very pleasant to work...

Avantages

It is very easy to use, for both our staff and our supporters/visitors. Clean, nice looking pages and transitions.

Inconvénients

There are limitations on custom reports and they can take a while to get set up. Some of the "canned" forms cannot be altered.

Avantages

It's easy, user friendly, has an excellent UI/UX and is very affordable for what it offers! Without a doubt Xola changed my life!

Inconvénients

There's a few more additions I'd like to see developed but they are a new company and these customizations for all the clients they have would take forever to match each specific organization, but believe me they are trying!

Really enjoy using this program

Ease of use. When I need to check on my tours I can hop on the app or log on with my internet explorer

Inconvénients

Sometimes it is very buggy. Sometimes the information I need will not load when I need it. Can be annoying

My customers are able to book, buy gift certificates and access class choices 24-7.

It has helped to relieve the numerous phone calls related to bookings. Than you xola.

Avantages

It seems to work well with first time customers as well as return customers. I have noticed that people who are not computer savvy can use the booking and find availability that will fit with their schedule.

We've been very happy with Xola as our online booking system.

Avantages

We have found Xola to be secure and constantly evolving. Not all the tweaks and new items apply directly to our business but we appreciate Xola's energy and innovative efforts.

Inconvénients

Mobile platform does not expand on cell phone screens. Can be very difficult to manipulate or create trips on phones.

Xola is easy to use

Avantages

Easy to use. You can Chat with them easily when you have questions. They respond quickly. Love that you can email all customers in rooster at one time. Love the new feature to link waivers to multi reservations.

Inconvénients

They have bugs that happen here and there but they are on top of things and keep us inform when it is fixed.

Great booking engine and very user friendly!

Avantages

Love how easy it is to use and customize to our business. Love the price and all we get for the price we pay.

Inconvénients

We don't have one specific thing that we don't like. There are little nuances here and there but with the new updates you are always coming up with our concerns are usually remedied.

Xola is Great for Escape Rooms

Avantages

Very good customer service with a live support chat!

Inconvénients

It is a bit difficult to use for managing bookings based on site capacity - as in having multiple listings for a single time-slot that automatically close-out once one is booked.

Xola rocks

Avantages

The ability to swap between available and reserved bookings is what puts xola ahead of bookeo.

Inconvénients

The old layout was a bit difficult but now with the update I have no complaints!

Pretty good. Almost there.

All of our bookings are in one place. The customer support is fantastic!

Avantages

It looks good and it is easy for our customers to use. It is easy to teach new employees to use it.

Inconvénients

There is no XOLA to Quickbooks sync, which is key for our business. The Affiliate aspect of the software is not as easy as I would hope, but we use some workarounds that make it useable.

Glad we switched to Xola, easier to use, quick to learn!!!

Better than alot of software out there.

Avantages

Very easy to use and train staff. It is also very easy to create new items in the system. The abandoned cart feature is a bonus in this software. Superior customer service! Not expensive at all.

Inconvénients

I wish the reporting was a bit more robust. Also, we would like to see better scheduling with guides.

Excellent support combined with an always evolving booking platform.

Peace of mind

Avantages

I like that the customer service is always one click, call, or email away. They work to costumize our specific platform exactly how we need it when we need it. Our contact, Alice, does everything she can to assist and that gives us the security to focus on our business and continue to grow.

Inconvénients

It is not set up as a dual platform for retail so it has to be completely customized for physical items but I'd trade that anytime for how effective it is as a booking platform for various items.

Bell's Brewery Tours and Xola

Within the first year of integrating Xola into our tours program, we managed to increase the number of visitors by 20%. The ease of booking for our fans and the confidence in knowing that their spot on a tour is guaranteed contributes to a seamless visit. In addition, Xola compliments our website as it is attractive and intuitive!

Every tour program is unique and requires a unique system. At times the system has not been able to do what I need it to do, however I always make sure that the people at Xola knows this and they tend to try to develop new ways for Xola to operate based upon my feedback.

Support is always available & features are great!

Ease of booking. Rather than having to go through one of our office staff, guests can book immediately. I'm sure this has brought more folks in our door.

Avantages

Flexible features. The software does nearly everything we need it to do and, if we ever come across something we'd like to see, Xola adds it to their "to-do" list. Love it. Most importantly for us, their support team is always available. I've never had an issue that took over 10mins to solve and most of the time, it's my error! They handle each request with patience and support. After nearly a year with Xola, we've been thrilled with every interaction we've had with them.

Inconvénients

We have been approached by other companies who do not charge the monthly fees. As a start up, getting rid of the monthly subscription and paying based on the number of bookings we get instead is appealing. This is the only reason I'd even consider leaving Xola.

Great user interface

I moved from bookeo to Xola because it was recommend to me from other tour operators. Overall I am pleased with the experience and the tech staff was very helpful setting up my profile. We had most of the bugs worked out after about 3 months into our season.

The 24/7 tech support is great and we find work arounds for areas that can’t be solved exactly how I would like it.

basic sale reports are difficult to obtain
scheduling conflicts occur when back-end is set up properly

We have been clients of XOLA for years and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Avantages

They have always incorporated our input and used this feedback to expand and improve their services.

Inconvénients

As a booking management software they do a great job with organizing and managing tours. However, our company also does retail sales which do not integrate with XOLA as much as we'd like. Therefore, we must run multiple systems to manage our sales.

XOLA has revolutionized the way we do business and has opened up the path to future growth.

Avantages

XOLA streamlines all of the most tedious aspects of booking tours. It puts virtually everything in one place; on one platform. The customer service has been phenomenal. Our rep has been available every step of the way above and beyond any customer service I have ever experienced. Without her, I don't think our company could have made this transition.

Inconvénients

There are some very important and necessary features that are not yet offered. We would like to be able to add invoices after reservations have been made. We would also like to be able to send payment links to guests that are already reserved. These features are only available on the front end of the booking. Once it is set, we have no control over sending payment access to our customers. This inhibits our ability to be slightly more hands on with the booking process for our customers.

Don't try to leave

Used Xola for 2 different companies and we switched to a competitor that offered more functionality and expansion. Their training over the phone (first company I was with that used them) was a joke - the 2 trainers got into an argument about how to do something while my staff sat listening to them for 10 minutes. We still gave them a try and were sorry that we did. The next company I took over was using Xola and I switched systems. The account rep called me and actually started yelling at me about what a mistake we were making for switching companies,, how no one ever leaves Xola, how much our business was going to suffer, as well as calling me a fool to switch (that was when I hung up on her.) I would not recommend them.

This system has changed our business and our lives. Glad we found Xola.

Efficiency for admin staff and clients.
Money transferes to our accounts quickly.
Information is gathered at time of booking

Avantages

The App is very user friendly for our instructors to use.
Clients have found it simple to use.
Once implemented the system is terrtfic. It saves alot of time for clients and staff in admin.

Inconvénients

Setup time and knowledge to use the systems back end needs 1:1 support with a tech person.
Training of our admin could be workshops online with YouTube tutorials etc?

Awesome booking software for our raft company.

Avantages

This software has a lot of features which make our raft company run smooth throughout the summer. I really like the I cal feature which allows me to see up to date trip totals right from my I phone calendar.

Inconvénients

The mobile app is still pretty glitchy. It never remembers my username or pw and crashes quite often.

Over all the Xola experience is outstanding

More customers and more income

Avantages

The customer service is a 10 star, no exceptions, easy, intuitive, simple and the software is by far the most up to date!

Inconvénients

At times it can be tricky to do certain get around and fix awkward mistakes, thankfully there is a great team waiting to help at any time of the day.

Xola is the best tour booking software in the business.

When our business started to really take off a couple of years ago, we knew our current booking system wasn't going to cut it. After speaking with others in our business about their preferred booking platform, Xola got nothing but rave reviews. Every other company seemed to have a "but" attached to their platform. Not Xola. It made our choice easy.

Changing booking platforms isn't something we were excited about. We had our web site builder make us a platform that we used for years. It was very labor intensive and time consuming. We were concerned about the amount of time switching platforms would take. Xola made it as painless as possible and we've grown to appreciate the platform more every day.

I imagine that Xola saves me approximately 10 hours per week over our previous system. A booking over the phone takes at most a couple of minutes, where it used to take at least five. Time is something that is hard to come by in our busy season, and if saving time was the only thing that Xola helped to do, I'd be more than satisfied.

But what really seals the deal for Xola is the level of service they provide. Calls and emails are answered quickly. Concerns are addressed immediately. One of the most impressive things is that they understand their users are the ones dealing with their system day in and day out. They listen to suggestions of ways to improve the system for our use and are constantly improving their product using their customer's feedback.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My customers love the ease of use and I love the customer service.

Avantages

I love the fact that reports are a click away and it is easy to change bookings and access customer information. Adding and or changing listings and items is easy and only takes a few minutes. Customer service is amazing and any question or concern I have had has been addressed immediately. My customers love the ease of use and it makes my job easier when I do not have to walk customers through bookings. I have tried other booking systems in the past and Xola is by far the best.

Inconvénients

I would like to see more detailed reports but I hear they are working on that. Otherwise I would not change a thing.

OH! I absolutlely love my XOLA software. I find it almost intuitve ! So rare for me!

Potential walk guests can book on-line and I'm not in a panic becasue the software takes care of it all! It's totally easy to understand. And on those few occassions when it isn't easy to understand, the service staff are right there and incredible!

Avantages

It makes sense. And if there is a time that it doesn't allow me to do things the way I might want to them, the alternative provided, still makes sense. I also REALLY like that it integrates our bookings from other sources such as Viator.

Overall I'm very happy with Xola. We have definitely seen an uptick in sales and it's a good...

Avantages

The calendar and booking functions work very well. The abandoned cart follow up definitely converts otherwise lost bookings. Support is quick and helpful. The credit card rates are very reasonable.

Inconvénients

I wish there were some more customizations available in terms of information display to customers, especially regarding availability and sold out events. I guess I will just keep putting in feature requests!

Basically an awesome booking software with the BEST customer service.

Organization and an easy way to handle my business.

Avantages

The customer service and clean, easy to use user interface. They take feedback very well and make sure to work on it if enough users have suggested the same thing.

Inconvénients

Lack of some features other software's have. The time between new development of features could be faster.

XOLA has changed our world for the better.

simplicity, we are more organized, the guest experience is much better. The responsiveness and customer service from XOLA is excellent.

Avantages

On-line, simple to use and excellent customer service. The analytical features make reporting and record keeping much simpler than before.

Inconvénients

I wish it was in multiple languages so our customers can book their tour in their language.

Excellent setup and support

I love the easy booking process from all user points. It's easy for me to book from the back office and it's easy for my customers to select exactly what they are looking for. Easy booking process equals more bookings. More bookings equals more revenue!

Avantages

I love the professional look of Xola compared to the other booking software options available for my industry. The setup process was very simple because I was assigned a specialist that literally walked me through the entire process.

Inconvénients

I had to think for a long time to come up with something to write in this category. The only thing I can think of is that I wish it was a bit easier to use from my Android phone. When I try to access the site from my phone everything stays tiny rather than automatically formatting. This may be an issue with my particular phone or me as the operator. Neither would surprise me.

Xola's Support Team is Awesome!

Customers can book online and I receive immediate notification. I don't have to do a thing!

Avantages

They set up everything for me; no worries with that end of things at all. I would have never figured it out myself. Also, they are ALWAYS available in the chat window. I've never had a problem they didn't help me with immediately.

Inconvénients

Well, I've been hounded by some other companies to switch at a lesser price. I'm loyal, though, and will not switch. But in comparison, they may be a bit more expensive.

Always easy

Easier follow ups on activities.

Avantages

being able to modify an activity when its needed it, sometimes clients change their mind. I can add or take out guests.

Inconvénients

when I have to modify a price, sometimes I have to cancel and re-book then tour because i cant edit the price. I cant go back to an older date to add an activity.

Consistently available to help me be successful

Avantages

Simple to use and very intuitive for an average computer Platform user. Whenever I have a question I seem to get a response within a few minutes that is very helpful and answers my questions.

Inconvénients

That it is a yearly contract in a seasonal business that is only open during the summertime in Nebraska.

I use Xola for my escape room business.

Avantages

The best thing about Xola is the support. While I did take online tutorials and live training, you still never get the real experience of any software until you are actually using it. Sometimes I get thrown a curve ball and when i contact support they are there in a hurry. GREAT customer support and that's a huge plus.

Inconvénients

One thing that really needs to be fixed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE is that even after a set minimum is met, it won't allow a fewer amount of people below the minimum to book and I have to go in and change the minimum to allow people to book, and then remember to change it back to the 4 person minimum. This involves phone calls from the customers, and often even after I change it, it still won't allow them to book. Not only is this a huge waste of time, it's also a huge flaw in the system. PLEASE FIX THIS!

Avantages

It does keep bookings organized and easy to view.

Inconvénients

Making bookings isn't always the easiest and the program runs differently depending on what platform you're using it on.

I have found this software to be a major improvement over my past experiences. Support is...

We feel more in-touch with our reservations and our many sales options that are included on our web site. Pretty much immediate ability to dial in and control our volume/inventory.

Avantages

I really feel that this software does what we really need to do to expedite bookings and also keep my office organizied and running smooth.

Inconvénients

Would like a drop down menu option with highlighted option opening up additional options...would also like to have key words suggested as content is previewed before loading up and publishing..be a big help....
