Good so far

Avantages

It has integrated well with our custom website. Since we don't use shopify or anything like that, it was difficult to find a solution for email marketing that would integrate with our site. So far there have been a few hiccups, but overall I'm happy with what we are seeing.

Inconvénients

I have not been impressed with the customer support I have received. Apparently, we are paying enough to get a dedicated customer success rep, but he doesn't seem to have answers to many questions I am asking. It has been mildly frustrating.

Great capability to automate your messaging

Avantages

I was coming from Mailchimp and using Drip has been a great improvement in the ability to automate and personalize the messages I can send to our customers, based on the phases they are in the funnel.

Workflows allow me to easily visualize the sequence of messages that will be delivered to the subscribers.

Inconvénients

I wish I could use drag and drop and rearrange blocks in the workflow.

Drip is my favorite Email Marketing Tool

Avantages

I've had to use a number of different email marketing tools - every client has something different setup! But Drip is by far my favorite! You can create visual automations. Emails look great. And every time I've contacted support they've been incredibly helpful - even setting up an automation for me to fix an issue I was having!

Inconvénients

Setting up conversions and goals was difficult... But I find this is usually one of the most difficult parts for most campaigns.

Also, sometimes there's a lag with looking at analytics/open rates. I'll select a date range, but have to refresh the page to see the total number of new subscribers during that period. But that's just a small issue.

Drip - Value for money?

I have an auto-campaign set up, so it saves me time screening clients and I also use it to send newsletters. My list isn't huge though, so I find it expensive for my small business. However, I don't change to another free option as there is a lot of work to export existing lists and also, the ease of use and ability to make it 'pretty' keeps me using drip.

Avantages

Drip is easy to learn, quick to create broadcasts, can re-use and edit sent broadcasts, and the templates for creating campaigns are excellent.

Inconvénients

As a start-up, I find it expensive (I'm in Australia, so the exchange rate has an impact). It is comparative, but the free options do the same thing. If your list building doesn't happen as quickly as expected or you're unsure how to use your list to generate income (v gathering info from sales), then it is an ongoing monthly expense that doesn't always justify itself - when your list is small. There should be another option available that is cheaper and has smaller list numbers, before the first subscription above free.

Great List Management

Unbelievable customer service, fast response time, helpful videos... I just flat love this.

Avantages

Automated workflows for list management and adding/removing tags makes for an incredible ability to segment and automate your subscribers! Blows mailchimp out of the water!

Inconvénients

There's a steep learning curve, but it's really as simple as it gets. Not a lot of good support for HTML emails, but that's okay--and they're making improvements.

Awesome tool, growing pains though.

Avantages

Drip is a fantastic tool for it's visual workflow builder. It allows for tons of automation and other tools don't really compete at this level.

Inconvénients

It's slow, sometimes emails take a long time to send and running filters can take up to day depending on how you craft it. They are aware of this but for all the money we pay it feels like this should not be an issue.

Was one of their first customers but now leaving

Drip has been awesome to me, have been an early user since Drip 2014 but am about to leave due to the increased pricing and the fact it's now moved over to focussing on being an Ecommerce CRM which does not speak to me as a content site operator.

Avantages

The ability to create and send campaigns based on both tags and trigger clicks within emails.

Inconvénients

How the pricing has gone up since the Leadpages acquisition.

Experience with Drip

Avantages

What I like most about Drip is the ability to easily get new subscribers uploaded and launch broadcasts with ease.

Inconvénients

Drip does not use 'lists' they use 'tags'. Though a cool idea in theory, the execution is pretty terrible. I have been using Drip for six months and still have not be able to get it reliably set up so that it accurately reflects the active paying customers that I have. Despite numerous calls with their support team (who are great btw) the Stripe integration does not sync as well as I'd like. This causes me to have to do a manual upload of a list every time I want to send an email. This is unsustainable and a giant pain.

Expensive but leader in market

By Tagging audience based on different options helps alot while desiging email campaigns. Drip is good tool but overpricing for lot of people

Inconvénients

Expensive in the market when compared to other tools and it is burden for freelancers and early stage bloggers

Drip's customer support makes it especially useful

I'm using this to build a mailing list, and I've found it works better than the older-model email providers I used before. But the additional versatility comes at the cost of a lot of complexity. They do have really good instructional manuals and videos to help.

Avantages

The customer support team is helpful and upbeat. They really know their products, and provide good instructions and have even walked me through more complex operations.

Inconvénients

Maybe I'm dense, but the terminology is hard to follow-- there are broadcasts and campaigns and forms and emails, and they're all interconnected, but it's been hard to integrate all the pieces or locate a specific email later.

Drip has saved me.

All of my clients now use Drip which gives me the massive benefit of working with every client's Drip account without having to leave my own. This must-account functionality is a life saver for me!

Avantages

Drip's marketing automation (i.e. workflows) give you precision control over every step of your customer's decision making journey.

Inconvénients

Thee isn't a single con I can think of! If I were to really stretch into non-issues though I would say that their onscreen prompts for first time users could provide a few more details.

Avantages

Uses tags & segments instead of creating multiple list so you have a person in the database once instead of multiple times like other systems

Easy to create workflows/automations and creating rules for simple tasks like adding a tag or starting or stopping a campaign.

Can have multiple lines of business under one account. I have 3 separate lists in 1 drip account

Easy to see each subscribers activity and scores

Inconvénients

There doesn't appear to be a way to see who opened an email from within a campaign. You can see how many opened it as a number and a percentage of those who were sent it, but cannot drill down to see which people opened it without having to go to the individual subscriber

Support is slow, it can take many days to get a response. Even with a chat option many times no one is available to chat

A good ecommerce email system, but not without some flaws

Drip was not an easy switch from MailChimp. I will probably go back to MailChimp pretty soon.

Avantages

Drip is a good ecommerce email system, particularly for Magento. It's relatively easy to set up automations and manage ecommerce contacts, purchases, and other data. It's similar to other email platforms in terms of set up, templates, and flexibility.

Inconvénients

The demo made it seem like the integration with Magento was the easiest thing in the world, but there were several hiccups at launch. The reporting leaves a lot to be desired, and the automations don't work as seamlessly as I'd like.

Heart of our Mktg Automation

Amazing. I love this product and would recommend it to everyone.

Avantages

Drip was first-to-market with their email marketing funnels. And, because of that, they are a cut above with respect to all of their automation technology and functionality.

Literally, we credit much of our growth to Drip and the omni-channel automated marketing we are able to develop as a result of it.

Inconvénients

There is limited functionality to create “pretty” emails.

Manage your Subscribers

I love the functionality of this software! Nothing else compares to it in my opinion. The customer service is quick and easy to understand, and I love how the developers really listen to implement what I need for my business within their software! Bravo!

Avantages

Ease of setting up workflows and subcriber tags. The ability to qualify my leads with a lead score.. the integrations with other software is awesome!

Inconvénients

So many choices, one can get confused between campaigns and workflows and when to use which.

Not a great ESP

Very negative I should not have believed the hype!!

Simply has it all

Awesome support, awesome product, amazing deliverability to the inbox.

Avantages

It literally can do anything, and I like how it can be very custom or very basic, depending on how you use it.

Custom fields, events, workflows, integrations, rules. It really is everything you need in a marketing platform without spending too much.

The colors and the UI. I liked the old colors more to be honest.

Drip rocks!

Overall, I love Drip. It works reliably, smoothly, and gives me strategic guidance to help my business be successful online.

Avantages

Drip is powerful, yet also simple and intuitive to use on a regular basis. I don't feel like I have to learn another whole app just to get started with email marketing.

Drip's pre-written email blueprints provide a fantastic starting point for writing email sequences (and they actually get results, too!)

Inconvénients

I wish Drip's email capture forms and popups went a couple steps further. Currently, I spend another $20/month on OptinMonster simply because Drip's email capture tools are lacking. Drip can certainly beef up it's lead capture tools, which would make Drip even stickier from a customer retention stand point.

I've used a variety of services like Drip, but nothing I've used matches Drip for both usability and power. It does everything we need with more power under the hood than I can imagine ever needing. Highly recommended.

Drip was just what I needed to grow my business

Drip is a great product.

Drip is a great product. Despite it's cons I still will keep using it because it does most of what I need and it has a great design so it's fun to use.

Avantages

I first tried Drip after hearing about it on a podcast. I love the design of the product. Great design makes something more fun to use.

It has a lot of features and it is relatively straightforward to use. You do need some training but not a whole lot in order to get started.

Inconvénients

The distinctions between regular sequences and workflows could be better. I had used it for a while before I learned (from their customer support) that workflows are basically the same thing but that the behavior changes based on what they click on in the emails.

I also wish that Drip and Leadpages came in a bundle and that you didn't have to pay so much money in order to get real chat support for their products.

Drip automates our email flows

Slow start due to steep learning curve, but very capable and advanced once mastered.

Avantages

We use Drip for always-on campaigns, like our website's lead magnet. In fact, creating an attractive lead magnet for our site was super easy to do.

Inconvénients

There is a learning curve for both terminology, and how to set up campaigns and workflows. But once you get the hang of it, it's a really advanced software.

Drip is an amazing software and ahead of its time for automation and lead routing. Very easy and robust once you get to know the software and can help boost conversions and qualify leads.

Kind of expensive once you have a medium number of subscribers, but they do offer a lot for what you end up paying.

Love Drip

Avantages

The software is easy to use and allows me to format my newsletters and track all the data I need. Their support team is fantastic and take the time to explain steps or find solutions to my business needs.

Inconvénients

The price is a negative, but I realize getting a quality product with the support does come cheap.

The best small-business email automation

Drip is the best product that I've used for small-business email automation.

Avantages

Drip's workflow automation is the easiest way for small businesses like mine to create sophisticated email campaigns and marketing sequences. The automation workflow is extremely powerful, and allows multiple branches and entry points. It's possible to personalize and target subscribers with a high degree of detail and accuracy.

Inconvénients

The workflow interface can easily become overwhelming as your workflow becomes more complex. It's not easy to test workflows, especially when actions span multiple days. Sometimes you have to put together steps and hope that they work as expected.

Brilliant functionality if you're techie enough

It's worth digging into again, its capabilities are probably the best out there if you can get your head around it.

Avantages

The possibilities for fully personalised communications are almost limitless, thanks to its behavioural triggers.

Inconvénients

It's pretty techie. And a really vile colour scheme. I can overlook the colours but the techie-ness has been a barrier for me.

Best automation platform for SMB

Drip is, in my opinion, the best marketing automation platform for the SMB. I've worked with more automation platforms than I can count on one hand, and Drip simply takes something that's supposed to be complex and makes it super easy. We now use Drip with most of our SMB clients.

Cool Features.... If they work and you can get any customer service.

Frustrating. Some features work well, the pricing is decent, and it is easy to use. However, I can't deploy my automated drip campaign because I have one little problem but can't get anyone to help in a decent amount of time.

Avantages

Pretty intuitive and easy to set up workflows. They have a lot of integrations with other software which makes it easy to import contacts.

Inconvénients

Their customer service is pretty much non-existent. If you have a problem, be prepared to wait for days by email. We have had an issue with SMS and I don't know if it will ever get fixed since I can't seem to be able to talk to anyone.

Excellent email automation

Avantages

It’s ease of use when it comes to fully automated workflows, when you delve into it, Drip becomes an extremely powerful marketing tool

Inconvénients

The default page you see when you log in is pretty useless, in the sense that it shows you three stats that have no actual meaning for us. Maybe it’s just the way we are using Drip, but I don’t have any need to see the monthly website visitors when we are checking that in Google Analytics anyway

Versatile Email Marketing Automation

Avantages

It is very easy to build a marketing automation sequence with several steps. You can connect Drip to a lot of other services as well.

Inconvénients

Granted it's an email marketing service so it makes sense that the email address is the most important piece of data; but you can't have a record in there that does not have an email address. Therefore it's not good as a CRM, although Drip doesn't claim to be a CRM, for that you want to connect it with another service.

Full Featured Autoresponder does it all!

Drip does what I need it to do. There are some integrations that I wish worked better, but I am not sure if it is on the Drip side or the other services. Overall though, it works well and requires very little input from me after the initial setup for a campaign.

Avantages

Many features are easy to use and they work very well without any input from me. The main console is easy to understand and the knowledge-base is full of helpful articles. Tagging and custom fields allow subscribers to be segmented with ease. Support is top-notch.

Inconvénients

The workflows can tend to get a bit difficult to set up and manage. Integrating custom fields with Leadpages could use improvement.

Could turn into something great. But the current experience is god awful

Avantages

Nice and cheap to start out. Then gets more and more expensive. If you constantly clean your database you'll like it. The live chat is really helpful when starting out

Inconvénients

Where to begin. Super rigid software that sits on the line of inflexibility and looking awful out of the box. The reply tracking doesn't work, the email open tracking doesn't work. Weekly support outages.

Powerful & Simple to use (like the iPhone)

I've searched long & wide for this. It's not perfect, but it's the best one out there for email marketers.

Avantages

Drip is what I've been looking for a long time. I went through many different options before I got here and, so far, Drip is magic. The automation and the features are great. But what brought me to Drip is the ability to write emails sequences all in one screen. The ability to have an overview of all the emails in the sequence and just click any one to make all the edits, is invaluable. This is why I'm going to stick around.

Inconvénients

Drip is a powerful and yet simple email marketing software. It doesn't have the community and automation marketplace like Active Campaign. If that's what you're looking for then Drip is not for you.

Powerful tool to build marketing email campaigns

Automating follow-up marketing campaigns for new sign-ups and trial users

Avantages

Drip has a visual workflow creating a very user-friendly interface. It also offers email templates and generates installation codes. It makes marketing automation easier to grasp for newcomers. Pricing is also very reasonable.

Inconvénients

While a lot of the process are user-friendly and simple to follow certain workflows can be intimidating, and the knowledge base isn't very extensive. I found that particular options were hidden away in menus. It took some time to teach myself the ins and outs, but it was worth it. Customer support was beneficial, but depending on what membership level you have, the response time varies.

The lovechild of ActiveCampaign and ConvertKit

ActiveCampaign frowns upon using their service for affiliate marketing. I understand that there are spammers out there, but there are increasingly more entrepreneurs and small businesses that build their business on affiliate marketing. Drip seems to understand this while also offering an amazing product.

Avantages

Over the years, I've used multiple email service providers and am passionate about being able to appropriately tag and track a customer's activity online. Drip offers amazing automations that can be as simple or complex as you'd like them to be. It is essential to be able to create a tag immediately whenever someone signs up for your email list. Drip offers the ability to develop a lead scoring while also implementing tags and automations. It is simple to use, easy to set-up, and delivers where you need it to.

Inconvénients

While Drip is a partner of Leadpages, ConvertKit actually has the ability to craft a landing page directly within the software. Although Convertkit has this built in, Drip's integration with Leadpages has a far better end result, but it is an additional expense.

I like Drip

We needed a marketing automation and simple CRM app. Drip has handled these requirements acceptably.

Avantages

Drip was easy to set up once I got past some of the non-intuitive features. Their help documentation and responsive support made a huge impact on my ability to get started.

Inconvénients

Poor reporting capabilities, very limited and some of the reports are confusing or misleading.

Drip Drip

Reaching a mail list of 50000 +. Could use more help when you make changes that are pretty drastic. Grateful that you're always on The Cutting Edge.

Avantages

Total flexibility. You can separate your prospects infinitely.

Inconvénients

Very complicated to program. A person who does this for me is very intelligent and experienced. He's done a great job but it's required much time on the phone with drip.

Simple, Easy-to-Use Effective

Avantages

I find it's a simple, affordable solution that provides great support for automation. It just works, and that's what I love about it.

Inconvénients

I've had to tweak the templates somewhat to be to my liking.

Also, it's not as friendly to small lists as other providers, but I do find the investment to be well worth it.

An easy to use email marketing system for the non-marketing professional

Avantages

Primarily, it's easy to use. If you don't want to have to take an advanced course in email marketing, Drip will serve your purposes. Writing the emails is easy. Setting up the options is a snap. Overall, I have found it easy to use and popular for all services that I need it to integrate with.

Inconvénients

I wish I could tell you one thing, but overall, I do like most of the features and the interface. It's clean and easy to use. Maybe more templates would be useful.

Drip helps me to help my clients

My overall experience is that this software allows me to quickly support my clients and blog readers and I prefer this to my previous platform which involved monkeys!

Avantages

I really like the visual nature of the campaign planning.

Inconvénients

Sometimes I find it a little bit complicated to use but it is not a deal breaker as I have persevered and I am successfully using it and gaining benefit.

Flexible and easy to use

Avantages

It's very simple to create workflows and campaigns but if you want, you can get pretty creative with the message flows.

Inconvénients

It's not clear always HOW you should set up your campaigns and workflows. Being flexible, Drip sometimes leaves you with too many options.

Email marketing at a great price with functionality only limited by your creativity.

Drip allows you to set up multiple accounts at no extra charge. So long as you're under the total number of contacts for your tier, you can manage several businesses under one roof. While there are a ton of features I love about Drip, this alone was worth the switch.

Avantages

I love the flexibility. Coming from other software that relies on lists, it was a breath of fresh air to work with custom fields and tags, powerful segmenting options and more advanced features like lead scoring that used to only be available in software packages considerably more expensive.

Inconvénients

There is a learning curve, but it's gotten lower over the years as the software has progressively improved. As Drip moved from text-only to bringing out a WYSIWYG editor, it didn't always play nice with corporate (i.e. Outlook) inboxes that like to strip styles from email. They have been implementing workarounds for this as well.

In-depth and personalized

I've had a great experience using their CRM platform. It's given me a better understanding of what my clients value and it's allowed me to create deeper segmentation and personalize their marketing track.

Avantages

From what I've sen, Drip is the best CRM for creating personalized marketing tracks and providing in-depth segmentation. Their multichannel touchpoints help me to maximize the contact I have with clients and make sure I'm hitting them where they'll actually see me.

Inconvénients

I haven't had a problem with their program. The user interface is simple and clean, their workflows are easy to map and customize. The platform integrates well with others.

Tons of features, can help your business

I was able to put together my email list and apply tags so my marketing messages are relevant to the people I want to speak with.

Avantages

I think that the customer support does a great job at letting you know when they will and will not be available - there will be popups that let you know when you can chat. Chat is also pretty responsive.

Inconvénients

I think that there are a lot of features, which means there is a lot to take in. Some more video tutorials or how-to guides on how to use Drip would be helpful.

having to use a third part software to link Drip with Pipedrive.
The email template interface is limited, wish there are more options on the layout of the emails.
