Avantages

The feature that I like most about using CMiC is how much information associated with my project is easily accessible in the program. Contracts are stored in the program and multiple financial reports are easy to collect with a click of the button.

Inconvénients

If you are new to using the program, it is hard to utilize the software right out of the gate. Getting started with CMiC is not the easiest to navigate. This program is very smart and there is a lot of information stored within it.

Avantages

What I like most about this software is that you have two different sides to this software which you can work on accounting entering upload and processing to a work flow where you can have uper management approval invoices for payment so it’s like two sets of eyes liking at your work before you process payment. We have a project side where each project manager can see owl and what is going on in their projects

Inconvénients

The software still haves a lot of glitches.

Avantages

It's cloud based! That is a huge pro for me, I'm always on the run and going between job sites and it's very nice to be
able to log in anywhere I have the internet.

Inconvénients

The software will error or null when trying to do things...I understand software is going to do that but it gets very
confusing when you can't figure out why or what field was missed.

Avantages

As much as the UI/UX is lacking, the core functionality of the software is there.

Inconvénients

It is lacking in UI/UX from an end user's standpoint. Although CMiC has been working closely with us to customize the experience and tailor it to our needs.

Avantages

I have had about 2 1/2 years experience now and I feel things have come a long way even since then. The constant updating and making it easier to see everything you need while in the module.

Avantages

Everything is cloud based. You can access you files/projects from anywhere. This allows work to be done at any time with no restrictions.

Inconvénients

Can be slow at times due to the internet (not necessarily ours). The system still has bugs they're working out.

Avantages

Once you learn it, it is easy to navigate.

Custom reporting options are limited.

Several intricacies which creates a learning curve that seems unnecessary. Needs update to become more user friendly

Avantages

Had a lot of features that appeared to be useful and able to tie into eachother, but very complex.

Inconvénients

It seemed to take the simple tasks and make them more challenging by linking them all together. Sometimes it is easier to just have RFIs and Submittals be separate

Avantages

The software is ok to get in to. It's only just started too get integrated properly onto my day to day life.

Inconvénients

Slightly hard to navigate around and some times tiresome to use.

Avantages

It took awhile to get used to but I feel comfortable with it now.\
I like the logs, which are exportable to excel. I like that it runs at a good speed most of the time. I like that it seems to have plenty of room for data/doesn't get bogged down.

Inconvénients

1099 module not useful. Lack of links to additional information within data points. Pay attention to the variable choices for reports.

It's reliability and unlimited storage capacity.

I loved the reconciliation feature. It allows the user to tie the budgets to invoices that are not produced by the system, such as AIA and owner forms. I liked the report formats.

Inconvénients

Again, I found forecasting reports in recent versions depend on the user's ability to learn, a major factor in spotting problems within the reporting budget status and revenue.

Avantages

Makes everything nice and easy to manage costs and submittals and everything in between!

- Some of the forms do not look good when printed
- Need quicker resolution on issues
- Meeting minutes could use some tweaking

Avantages

CMiC has been very helpful in it's use. I like that it's constantly evolving and they're finding better ways to use it. The
team has been responsive in any issues we may have.

Inconvénients

Dashboard takes a while to load. A lot of places to do the same thing (or at least I think it's the same). Enterprise and
Cloud are a little confusing.

Avantages

I am a Field Superintendent. Basic daily reports are easy to do and a great resource to go back to for history We also use CMiC submittal logs, very easy to use. Three things I like about the software:
- History of events
- Daily log is easy to use
- I know how many men there where on the Job for each trade on any given day

Avantages

We implemented really fast. That was a key feature for us. We had ample training, and being a cost cautious company, we were able to get what we needed on budget. There are some really useful apps that you can add onto the software that we are looking to upgrade with. Also, the SaaS model helps a lot by reducing our operating costs. We appreciated being able to call in when we had a question, and the support staff were always available, that's a big plus for us.

Inconvénients

We were a little confused at first about how cloud-computing worked, but our sales person was able to narrow down the benefits and that helped. We were used to working with Excel and hadn't used Accounting and Project Management software before. I think it's not what we liked least, but more that cloud technology is not what we're used to. But we were able to pick up on the differences and benefits really quickly.

I like the idea of the product and where it's going. When it links seamlessly, I believe this will be one of the best products out there. The ease of use is there.

Inconvénients

It gets buggy at times and simple things that should work don't. I'm sure their tech. support team is swamped due to this, but this affect how I use the product now.

Our accounts payable department utilizes CMIC as our only system.The system ensures we are accurate with our daily transactions. Very thorough information in the screens. We are able to customize what is available by associate need.

Helps keep everything organized and fairly easy to use. I also like the Workflow area. It is always nice to have an additional check and balance making sure I have completed all my tasks.

I love this software. Everything is super organized and the files are very easy to find. I like the layout and you can do with it.

The software can be overwhelming if you don't know what the purpose is. If you plan on using this software just make sure you get a rundown on how the functions work.

We are still finishing implementation of the software, but we are satisfied with it so far. We are using it at a basic level and will continue to grow into more advanced features as we progress with it.

Inconvénients

Viewing pictures from daily diaries is very cumbersome; there should be a native picture viewer and thumbnails to make the pictures sortable and easily viewable.

Avantages

I have been using the CMIC software for 3 months now and I do enjoy how it links all the components of my projects together. I am a Project Manager for a Real Estate Developer in South Florida. I like the cost status query option to input a change order and then have it show as pending in the query even if it's not posted yet. I also like how the log-in is secure and how I can link multiple projects to one dashboard. Lastly, I like the way we can attach back up to the change orders or subcontract tabs.

Inconvénients

I really enjoy the software as a whole. It would be great if it could link to outlook so emails on my mac would upload immediately into the communications folder.

A great array of choices as far as cost and document management.

Inconvénients

A little clunky to use and outdated. Some wording used in the software should be clarified, and there should be a way to transfer files/data from one project to another project.

I like the fact that everything is one place, and you can link things.

The reminders are not that good, need improvement.
The compliances are not easy to update

I'm getting more experienced with it every day. I believe it will be much easier once I start my next project fresh with what I've learned.
I like the ability to track changes and the fact that everything is in one central hub/database.

Once you post there is no way to make a change (for mistakes). finding the right report.

Avantages

1) We LOVE being able to link invoices directly to Subcontracts/Changes, makes it easy to see if the sub has overbilled and what is approved or not
2) accounting reports are much clearer then our old system

1) wish we could send I/O emails from more programs likes PCI or Subcontracts
2) the save/close/accept buttons in different spots all the time

Easy navigation, Everything is linked together. The things can be saved on the cloud so can be accessed at any place.

Older platform, Old reports. The support needs to be better. They do not have a phone number which you can call to.

The cloud based software that will allow us to access work from anywhere. This makes it easy to work on the go.

The product is buggy. There's still a lot of things to work on and I think tech support gets bogged down by this.

Miscalculations in their reports!!! We create spreadsheets that provide more accurate reporting. Ongoing software issues has cost thousands in lost productivity. We are less efficient using CMiC software.

My favorite part of CMiC is that the whole project management and superintendent side of the job can be encapsulated
into one easy to use software program.

Inconvénients

redundancy in some of the functions and the inability to go back (like coding invoices) to prior activities after they have
been finalized.

at least you have your documents in one place that is searchable.

Interface feels as if in 1985, can be really confusing to save and upload dailies and prints. consistently shuts down and will not allow you to move forward or randomly deletes files, also even if you send documents and it creates a trail, there were more than a few times that the documents never made it to destination.

I mainly use CMiC for compliance. I appreciate the feature which allows me to import documents to save within the subcontractor file.

Inconvénients

Navigation can be difficult at times, too many steps to complete the same task.

Many options and functions. Ability to tie in numerous aspects of construction from RFIs to Submtitals, to billings, etc.
