Product with big potential, but still a prototype.
We suggest you to wait to subscribe to this product until the company is able to deliver the full functionalities they claim they offer.
Avantages
Functionalities of this product are what small companies need, if only they were working.
This remains a good project on paper, and it would be great if offered for free until it is working properly to clients helping the development of a final product. Now it is working with 60-70% of the minimum required functionalities. The risks of being blocked with shipments and invoices are always there.
Inconvénients
This is still a prototype, charged to customers as a final product, probably to finance the completion of the software development. We subscribed for a base plan and we were forced to move to premium plan. We cannot switch immediately due to the big time and money invested in setup and integration, and we will soon do it if they do not fix the issues. So far, support is not able to solve issues in real time, therefore we had and are having huge issues with customers with blocked deliveries, wrong documents (invoices and packing lists sent out). And we did not receive any refund or apology with a plan to fix issues.
Having mistakes in reporting, and official documents like prices and amount of invoices is not acceptable.

A full featured inventory management solution that I can offer to my SME clients in wholesale distribution and retail.
Avantages
As a cloud integrator/implementor of inventory solutions, I have found that Cin7 offers the most features in the market place and exceptional value for money. It caters for wholesale distribution/multi location/consignment both from customer and suppliers and multiple sales channels including EDI, Amazon and Ecommerce. For an inventory business that is growing and focussed on making the most of every sales channel - this product is a MUST. In addition, support is second to none, the quality of the online materials is excellent including step by step videos, premium support conducts weekly troubleshooting where customers can ask anything about the product and get targeted assistance. This software vendor is in for the long haul and is committed to the best customer experience. I am delighted to have Cin7 as one of my partners and can't speak highly enough about their sales and support teams.

Cin7 useage
- I was using Green Tree before Cin7. Cin7 has more functionality than Green Tree and it is more user freindly.
Avantages
- the system is easy to use
- support by the rep has been very good, always prompt and courteous.
- up time has been very good, a few outages over the last few months but quickly resolved.
Inconvénients
- based on the systems price point not many cons.
- it would be nice if it was a bit more custom configurable, again good based on the price point.
- I would like the reporting functionality to be a little bit better. For example I wanted to run a report recently for all customer receiving a category discount, but I could not find a report that would give me that information.

Powerful inventory management software
Avantages
Cin7 is the best inventory management software for apparel industry i come up with. It identifies the customer requirements and provides a comprehensive platform with lot of features. With Cin7, managing of retail stores and warehouse is very easy. The system is very reliable.
Inconvénients
More integrations would be great. Importing data from other software is not supported. It would be great if they can allow converting data from different sources of applications to one Cin7 file.

Limited Features User
After working out all the initial problems, it does the job that we need it to. I did just notice that the Cin7 app is no longer in Shopify which may pose a problem. It would be nice if their customer service would reach out when these apps are no longer connected with your website.
Avantages
For myself, I work with Shopify and my main concern was inventory coming over correctly. I liked that I could easy look up a SKU and see what stock was available vs what was actually available.
Inconvénients
I had no part of the set up, but the main person who was responsible for launching this program had a very difficult time getting all the kinks sorted out. We are a small company that relies on every single sale, and we ran into months long delays with deployment. It's my understanding we were promised certain features and then when it came time to launch, it never happened.

Fantastic Customer Support

When dealing with EDI softwares, integration and transmission issues are plenty, and as a low-tech person it can be overwhelming. Every time I've reached out to the Cin7 team for customer support, they've been readily available, quick to respond, specific to my problem, and walked me through solutions. On this last case, my integration woes created a support issue that required 2-3 months of advisement, hand-holding and working with a 3rd party team to make it happen. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was exceptionally helpful and responsive, and worked with our team until the issue was resolved. And that experience is consistent with any and all I've had with other Cin7 team members. I'm grateful for their insight, expertise, patience and support— it exponentially elevates the experience with the software.

Great Program with Effective Support
The learning curve is slightly longer, but once we are familiar with the functions and the logic behind, all work flows smoothly. Plus, technical support Sri has been really helpful, not only provide guidance in detail, but also help us to come up with ideas to overcome difficult issues.
Avantages
We are in progress of setting up wholesale system, our technical support Sri has been really helpful on guiding our team familiar with all the functions of Cin7.
Inconvénients
It takes our team a bit longer to familiar with all the functions. It is a mission to gather up information for initialisation. We would love to see a better appearance and more functions/freedom on the B2B portal.

Great platform for retail & distribution
Our company has been using Cin7 for 4 years for apparel & accessories distribution + retail (12 stores). We have been the test case for 3PL, POS, Shopify, Xero, JOOR & EDI integrations with major department stores. I recommend Cin7 because of its flexibility and all-in-one offering which can accommodate rapid growth if required. Cin7 is constantly looking at new integrations for customers and always evolving to cater to our needs in the apparel industry which is great. Great value especially if you plan on using multiple modules (pos, EDI, online etc.).

Efficiency in managing stock, time saving, high functionality and seamless integration into our processes and excellent customer service.

CIN 7 is a comprehensive and easy to use inventory management software that has helped us immensely in managing our stock and saving us a lot of time.
The interface is easy to use and the functionality and compatibility it provides is second to none which makes our everyday functioning seamless.
Their support staff is extremely helpful whenever needed as well. Strongly recommend this software.
Inconvénients
Nothing in particular yet. There have been instances where more provisions for customizing would have helped us, however the customer support has been very prompt in fixing any issues that we have had.

We have been using CIN7 for almost two years and I still highly recommend it. Not only has it been instrumental in managing the various aspects of our business effectively, but it is also very easy to use and for new staff to learn. Technical support is excellent - very reliable and always willing to assist us in creating solutions to meet our needs as the business has grown.
Inconvénients
Many of our sales are made-to-order, so it would be very useful if our production team were able to highlight and flag orders, and to have pop-up reminders.

My Name is Tanya and i work for an industial company.
We previously had our own software system which we stopped using June 2015.
We have since been using Cin7. It has been fantastic. The intergration with xero was very smooth. I found the Tec team to be very helpful through this process.
Cin7 has given us more capabilities as a company and allowed me, as a Sales Manager to drill into our sales in more depth.
The inventory system plays a big part in our Business and Cin7 has made this easier.
Converting to Cin7 was the best thing Lifting Victoria could have done.

Cin7
Genereally very positive however you are expected to do most things yourself. It's great in one way as you obviously learn a lot, but especially when you go-live, there will always be unexpected things and it would have been nice to have more support especially during that time.
A lot of questions that we had during the changeover period the support contact didn't know the answer to there and then so there was a lot of "we'll have to wait until our next session next week". It just didn't feel like he actually knew the system himself that well.
Avantages
It's online so it's a platform most people are familiar with. Navigation is easy and user-friendly and just generally makes sense. Also a lot of the info like the help articles and videos are very clear and easy to follow.
Inconvénients
Still some things "in progress" such as the DROP SHIP which doesn't work.
MADE-TO-ORDER products don't automatically generate a new PO if you have stock (we're in the furniture business so we have a lot of furniture on display and thus showing stock, so when a new sales order gets raised for a sofa for example - no PO is generated even though it should be, as the product has been set to MADE-TO-ORDER).
Some things seem to be half-baked, for example you can bulk invoice but you can't send out invoices in bulk so that is very manual.
You can upload product images but they do not get pulled to any of the product reports. Again, as we are in a vey visual industry it would be very useful to have images along side product sales reports, or evern things like stock counts.

Not the best software
We went live with cin7 couple weeks ago. Although there's no major issue with the software itself but it's not the best software for inventory and reporting. The reporting system is a nightmare to work around with. It's great that they have heaps of options to choose from but it's upsetting that they wanted to charge us for a fee for custom reports. No two companies operate the same way - it doesn't sound right to charge us for custom reports. Even having simple request like adding special price and sub-sub-category into our reports, this would then categorize as 'customization' thus we got to pay for it.
I would also appreciate if cin7 customer support is efficient. As we only went live couple weeks ago, we would've expect bugs to be fixed asap and get as much support we need during this stage. and not 24-48 hours to wait for a respond, that's not ideal.

Flexible inventory management system
We pay for premium support, which I utterly recommend, especially when you are fine tuning the set up of Cin7.
Occasionally the support staff seem overwhelmed, as you'd expect from a growing SAAS company, but on the whole they are responsive and come up with great solutions.
The software works well, and importantly, is flexible enough so that as the business grows, Cin7 will be able to grow with the company.
Avantages
Cin7 offers great flexibility - we use it for a multi channel retail operation, with online, retail and wholesale requirements.
The support staff are responsive and you feel that you are working with a company that are growing and trying to create the best product for your needs.
Inconvénients
The implementation process leaves you a bit in the dark - I'd recommend a consultant with experience in your area, to ensure that the way you implement the software is the best fit for you operation.

"Composite Retail Group (CRG) identified an opportunity for its retail member stores to purchase product directly from international suppliers.
In order to facilitate this, CRG needed an inventory management system.
I have experience with determining, selecting and implementing business systems.
Having previously worked with Datum Connect, I contacted Danny Ing to discuss my requirements.
I wanted an industry first solution that would allow multiple retailers to place orders from the Cin 7 system which would consolidate the orders into containers based on international supplier and port of delivery in New Zealand.
I knew that Cin 7 would handle all of the inventory processes needed and had confidence in Danny and his team to deliver the solution to meet my needs.
The great thing about working with Danny is his knowledge of business and business processes. This is very rare with IT and programming professionals.
The project was scoped and was then delivered within budget.
The solution was more important than the implementation time. I was very pleased with the outcome and the amount of time taken to deliver the solution.
An agile approach was needed with the project.
It is a great product and it just works."

SUPPORT
I am satisfied and happy that we were able to make the necessary changes in this software and get this Inventory system integrated with sales channel without experiencing any problems.
Avantages
Possibly the ease of use. Its faster and we can manage out inventory very easily through this software. Secondly, the support we get from the team is outstanding. Rep has been available to resolve issues and any and all tweaking is possible to do with ease with him. I also want to appreciate the ability to make minor changes in the system software to suit out individual need. This was possible by Rep and the way he did quickly is commendable.
Inconvénients
The fact that we still have to go to XERO to generate outstanding invoices.

A Great Hub to Unify Business Information and Application
Using Cin7 has been a boon to our business. We have never had a clearer understanding of our purchasing habits. Our business is different from a lot of the businesses that are likely to use Cin7 or other platforms like it. There are extra steps that we must take that many other businesses would not have to worry about. We have extra business practices that Cin7 can do, however these are time consuming and

I really enjoy the flexible nature of Cin7. You can do anything with it. Customer and supplier information is easily linked to purchasing and sales. Product information is easily linked to sales and inventory. This platform keeps your business working smoothly and lets you see metrics on how it's all going at a glance.
Inconvénients
The only thing that I would hope Cin7 focusses on over the course of developing the platform in ease of use. There is a considerable amount of data entry that goes into Cin7. Multiple pages have to be dealt with to get from one stage of an order to another. There is an amount of complexity that is available to Cin7 that is not covered by the instructional materials. Well featured, powerful, good value for money.
Very happy with Cin7 overall. We moved from a whole of business software package we used for 19 years to Xero and another parts and POS 18 months ago. Xero was good, which we still use but the parts and POS system we selected wasn't a good choice. We changed to Cin7 after a few months and wish we'd made the initial switch to Cin7 instead. Since then we've never looked back.
Avantages
Product ordering & management is powerful and makes managing our retail shop straight forward. Point of Sale is easy to use. Multi user functionality never conflicts so we don't get IT issues with Cin7.
Inconvénients
Functionality between Cin7 & Shopify is limited.

Lots of Features and Very Flexible. Great
Cin7 is a great and robust system. The new interface looks really clean and clear and it is extremely intuitive to use.
While it is simple and clear on the "outside", the functionality "under the bonnet" is extensive and what makes Cin7 different from the rest is the customization that is available.
No other app in the Xero marketplace offers tailored customisation as Cin7 does.
It is a very powerful tool and the value / cost is impressive.
Moreover, the product is always evolving and the team at Cin7 are always implementing user requests and implementing new changes very rapidly.
I can strongly recommend it.

CIN7 Review
Overall we are happy with CIN7 product, general functionality is good and we have been able to customise parts of it to suit our requirements.
Avantages
Point of Sale is great for sales reps out on the road, especially as it can be used offline. Like how it is easy to use, kit products are easy to manage.
Inconvénients
Goes through patches where we get error messages all the time and we are unable to save transactions.

Does the basics well. Integration with shopify and xero is tidy. Is easy to use but documentation needs work. Value for money is average now the price has increased. 3PL connection works but could be a lot better if it synced inventory both ways. Support can be slow to respond but they are generally accurate with solutions. B2B site has limited options but for a hosted solution it is satisfactory for wholesale.

Easy to use, great customer support
Excellent experience so far (3 weeks in). Aswin Kannan was our Implementation Specialist. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful throughout the implementation. Customer service is a great reason to go with Cin7.
Avantages
This software is very intuitive and flexible. I worked with SAP previously, in which transactions could only be corrected with additional transactions. In Cin7, the user can edit previous production jobs, adjustments, purchase orders, etc. There are several bulk import/bulk update options that are easy to learn and very simple to execute. The "save as draft" and "approve" functions are great for production jobs and purchase orders so managers can review transactions before they are opened. Smart Buyer is a great feature - it enables user to create Purchase Orders when an item falls below a minimum quantity.
Inconvénients
If an item is batch managed, you must manually select the batch to fulfill sales orders or material requirements. An automatic FIFO policy for batch managed items would be nice. Production Job Loader - it would be great if this feature was triggered when a finished good reached a minimum quantity so that the users could easily open up production jobs.

Everything in one Packaging

I originally tested a few different inventory software and CIN7 has the total package.
It's easy to use, and the integrations available are fantastic.
Inconvénients
Customer pricing discount can't be exported as a whole, it can only be seen once you enter the customer CRM

Avantages
We desperately needed an inventory system and we are still working on learning to use it and its features. The onboarding experience was very good as they walked us through the process and helped troubleshoot based on our needs for the system.
Inconvénients
There are limitations with images and other items that we were hoping it would have however, [SENSITIVE CONTENT] our implementation specialists helped us in customizing certain templates to help get us what we needed.

Great help from the on-boarding team!

Avantages
It works, and that is already a big thing, other platforms we tried just simply don't work at all and do false promises on their features. For a fact Cin7 works, its a different platform that we will have to learn but we are happy how robust it is.
Inconvénients
Kind of hard to navigate for sales people and non-technical people, there are also sometimes too many clicks to do one things but I understand that it's an Out of the box software that everyone and anyone can use, its not necessarily customizable for 1 business needs but still, does more than 80% of the job as we need it.

Been great, other then a few problems here and there.

Live stats and automated reporting.
Avantages
Sales forecasting and historical sales make it easy to see what needs to be replenished!!
You can make orders for replenishment from the reports themselves. Customer support is there but can take up to 48 hours to respond.
Inconvénients
There is lots to learn and view before actually going live. There is only a 7-day free trial whereas most companies offer a month. Starter package and includes basic support prioritizing others before you.

This has been a very frustrating process
Avantages
We have a complex pricing structure and multiple locations and Cin 7 was one of the few software packages that has been able to cope with our set up
Inconvénients
Subscribing to Cin 7 almost three years ago meant they were going through a lot of 'teething' problems and initially we did not receive the support we required. However we have seen a vast improvement but we did not think it fair as a reward for persevering they would triple the monthly fee, with out warning or good reason!

Robust, Customization Friendly and Efficient
Very friendly and respectful group to work with
Support is effective, but I recommend using videos to describe any issues that are complex
We have been assigned an exceptional support member from Cin7. Customer rep. has been extremely helpful in resolving our integration issues and customization needs. He is very bright and able to assimilate lots of information quickly to understand an issue and work with his Cin7 colleagues to find the best resolutions. He also has excellent follow-through. My advice is to ask for him.
Avantages
We’ve been utilizing Cin7 for about 9 months. We integrated the Cin7 for our business during Q1 2018. We have found the Cin7 platform to be robust, and the customizations they provide to accommodate specific business needs have been very important towards running our operation effectively and efficiently.
In summary:
Robust platform for a small to mid-size business
Inventory management capabilities are strong
Sales Order and Purchase Order functionality is solid
Reporting capability has improved with more features and functions this year.
Inconvénients
There is a cope for improvement as it ages.

The best thing about Cin7 is the range of features they provide compared to other inventory...
Avantages
I am a manufacturer who sells retail (online, email, phone and in person) and wholesale. Since I don't fit into one particular niche I love that Cin7 has all the features that I need for each one of my divisions.
I looked for a long time for an inventory software that met all of my needs. I tried one and it failed to do what I need it to, it was geared too much towards eCommerce and didn't have any order entry or manufacturing capabilities. Then I found Cin7. I was very cautious at first because of my experience with my previous software not performing the way I wanted it to. But as I learned everything Cin7 could do I was very pleased with my decision. It gives each of my departments the functionality they need and also seamlessly connects them together saving lots of time and money.
It also integrates with Quickbooks Desktop and ShipStation very well. You can import batch invoices into QB as well which is a huge time saver when reconciling.
If you are like me and you require a lot of functionality in your inventory system then you need Cin7.
Inconvénients
I'd like to see it work with more eCommerce shopping carts right out of the box. We had to develop our own API integration to import orders from our shopping cart OpenCart. Their API works just fine, it just takes time to implement.

Great Onboarding service, with tutorials & videos to reference after

The Cin7 Academy is quite thorough as a guide for learning and referencing as we transit over. Our dedicated specialist, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], is patient and assist us with workarounds suited to our business unique structure and requirements. It integrates with shopify B2B & B2C, & manages stock imports well.
Inconvénients
Would love to see more sync integrations of fulfilment settings - ETD, delivery / pickup, time, etc. in the future. CRM Features to be more beefed up. Data syncing process can be improved across ecommerce platform.

Peace of mind is on its way
We've had a really positive experience with Cin7 so far. Our contact points have been thorough and efficient and it's been a pleasure to work with them. The system is working to our expectations, if not beyond. The reporting functionality is excellent.
Avantages
Cin7 makes our job so much easier. We love that it's our CRM, that it handles the inventory for all our raw ingredients and finished products and how it integrates with our courier, Shopify and Xero. It gives us such peace of mind to feel like we're totally on top of our operations.
Inconvénients
If I had one piece of advice for a new customer, it would be to make sure you do a thorough job of the onboarding process. Devote a resource to it, whatever it takes. It's a time consuming process but if you're willing to invest the time and effort to it, then it will make the post go-live period run seamlessly.
Whenever we came across a stumbling block during our onboarding process, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and his team were always proactive and immediately looked for a solution.

Brilliant system
Avantages
Atul has helped us on board and has went above and beyond in every possible way. The system itself is also great! It accomplishes everything that was missing from other systems we have used. It's a very clean system and keeps everything organised.
Inconvénients
A little bit buggy with the invoicing system, but otherwise, no issues.

Taking us up a step
Good. We were assigned [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who was extremely response, knowledgeable and great to work with. She was very patient as we only have a small and not particularly experienced team so were on a steep learning curve.

The capacity to allow us to grow internationally and integrate with all our existing platforms
Inconvénients
Not all automated eg need to push through changes to Shopify (but that is easy enough to manage)

Useful for inventory
Cin7 offers many features and therefore requires a learning curve. However, once you've gotten the hang of it Cin7 saves you a lot of time and effort.
Avantages
Cin7 offers a lot of features such as inventory, accounting, logistics and order processing. I don't know any other software that offers all these features at once so it's very useful and saves me time.
Inconvénients
Since it offers so many features, it takes a while to learn how to use it and sometimes I've had to look things up. Also, it's on the expensive side and therefore not ideal for small businesses.

Company wide transformation
We have now got the ability to completely automate our company. Once we have implemented all levels of Cin7 we will have the ability to be a completely paperless company. That is a huge win for any company.
Avantages
We really liked that Cin7 centralised, consolidated and automated our business processes and procedures. It gave us the transparency throughout all business units and supply chain. The customisation of reports enabled us to track specific facets of the company and keep in line with budgets and targets.
Inconvénients
Navigation throughout the whole system can be daunting purely to the fact the capabilities of the system is expansive and there is so many areas to populate with information.

Excellent onboarding service & thorough inventory system
While a challenging step up from our previous inventory system, the Cin7 team were very helpful & attentive throughout the onboarding process and guiding us through familiarising ourselves with all its capabilities. The Cin7 Academy is a thorough resource and our dedicated specialist gave us confidence in the product with his quick & regular communication during the weeks of set up.
Avantages
Allows us to integrate with our B2C Shopify store, B2B online store and 3PL order fulfilment, as well as managing our stock imports from external suppliers both domestically and globally.
Inconvénients
We'd love more ability to tailor the look of our B2B store, however functionally it still meets all our needs

DSS Games Review
We have only been live for two weeks but so far we have seen an increase in efficiency in order processing and inventory management. Having all of our data in one centralized location will have multiple benefits over time.
Avantages
Most features are relatively intuitive, decent amount of customization options, native integrations with Amazon/Shopify, able to integrate with our 3PL
Inconvénients
The Quickbooks integration was not seemless as is was made out to be in onboarding. We are currently stuck with some lack of functionality that makes our Accountant's manual workload increase due to having to adjust every invoice that comes over from Cin7. More transparency up front on the lack of features there would have been critical.
