It's simple to understand when you start, and then quick and easy to update. Sometimes there's a new technical thing I want to try and when I don't have time, I go on chat. They answer fast and have always been able to help - they know what they're talking about and make me feel valued. Also there's a lot in their app market that's really useful - integration with mail-chimp for instance, is great.

Nothing really. If I don't understand I go to chat and get help. The only thing would be I wish chat was available at the weekend as that's often when I have the most time to updated my services.

I have a lot of items to sell - cookies, bars, pies, cheesecakes - and I can put them all up for sale on Ecwid. I and my staff can put the items online to sell, make changes, add shipping options, etc. Very user friendly.

I love how easy it was to setup on my Wordpress site and have it integrate. I can access the backend from my Wordpress admin panel, and take care of business with ease. Adding new products is a cinch and the system is scalable so it can grow with you as needed.

I wish Google ranked it better. The SEO aspect is not available for the base store which makes it a bit challenging to grow into the next phase if you aren't getting sales due to customers not finding your store when they search key words that would normally bring up what you are in the business of selling.

We have had many issues with SEO and SEM and the support team is not clear on what needs to happen to fix it. It is also very difficult to get through to support. You are not able to call in - but have to chat in. This makes it difficult when there is an issue that needs immediately addressed. Additionally when you chat in they don’t always respond immediately.
The site also does not change photos to WEBP when uploaded. I have to manually change them prior to publishing.

It came with the website builder we use, Snapps, and so had to try and initially the setup was easy, but it quickly went downhill the more we wanted to customize.

Clunky interface, minimal customizing, and customer service had delayed replies, and when they did reply -no mater how explicit our questions—they never answered clearly, or, would punt us to their FAQ On their site, most of which are a few paragraphs and not even fully finished pages, so you are left still unsure about next steps or getting your problem solved.

Ecwid comes with affordable plans, less fees and mainly many gateways for payment processing. Even if you are still unsure of selling online, Ecwid thought of connections and integrations to many third party apps and platforms, which allow dropshipping, an opportunity to start the journey.

Ecwid is not ideal for large businesses as it is less popular than many other platforms in this industry, namely Wix; it is less common if not inexistent in many countries, and of course, their currencies.

What I love most about Ecwid is the blog of resources & the apps you can integrate with. & if your plan is high enough the taxes are calculated for you & updated automatically. I also enjoy the product variations but let me note again this is also something that requires an upgrade. While I do like my website, I also have coding in it that I used to make it better than what it is. I think its great for a smaller business or a business with limited products.

I do not like that variations is only available as an upgrade. I also am not a fan of some of the ways they just expect you to do your newsletter when they could of really made it much simpler. & my least all time favorite thing about them is the fact that I pay one of the highest plans & I can't even make a legit blog or forum technically on the same page which complicates a lot especially for beginners when they are just learning. trust me I was once there.

Ecwid è sicuramente un buon software per la gestione di un ecommerce, soprattutto qualora non si abbiano competenze tecniche di programmazione o non si abbia un grosso budget a disposizione. La gestione del negozio è molto semplice ed intuitiva, gestibile del tutto dal semplice pannello di controllo. È possibile monitorare il software anche da sistemi android, qualora non si sia in sede, possibile integrazione con Api, per cui le implementazioni possono essere davvero molte. È possibile l'integrazione e sincronizzazione con altre piattaforme di vendita come Amazon, Ebay ed altre. Facile lavorazione sul Seo direttamente dalla configurazione del prodotto, della categoria e del negozio. Intuitiva, ed estremamente semplice l'integrazione con i maggiori sistemi di pagamento e c'è la possibilità di configurare direttamente il costo della spedizione, scontistiche dedicate, sconti sugli importi spesi (se si raggiunge una certa cifra per esempio) con spedizioni gratuite. Consigliato soprattutto per piccoli ecommerce o starter.

Inconvénients

Ecwid non ha tutte le funzionalità che invece altri potrebbero offrire, per cui spesso bisogna integrare con funzionalità create ad hoc, oppure con plugin a pagamento. I prezzi delle integrazioni con altre piattaforme di vendita sono un po alte, considerando commissioni e commissioni a terzi il guadagno si riduce, ma con calcoli ben fatti sull'utile, e se si ha prodotti ad alta rotazione o con buon margine, ne vale la pena.

Pourquoi choisir Ecwid 

Essendo sviluppatore e manutentore del sito e non end user l'ecommerce che propongo, così come le varie integrazioni dipendono principalmente da quello che vuole il cliente. Tra queste, sicuramente, spesso mi trovo a dover dare priorità alla facilità d'uso della piattaforma da parte del cliente, ed Ecwid sicuramente agevola in questo, seppur con abbonamento.

Esistono molti cms freeware, molti con la caratteristica di essere praticamente modellabili a piacimento. La mia preferenza all'installazione e configurazione di Ecwid, oltre ad un'ottima gestione del negozio, della vendita, finalizzazione e Seo, ecc.. è dovuta principalmente alla facilità di utilizzo da parte dell'utente finale.

La piattaforma permette in poche ore di pubblicare un sito di ecommerce molto funzionale con un costo di abbonamento abbastanza contenuto, inoltre offre molte possibilità di personalizzazione disponibili anche per utenti entry level.

Inconvénients

Pur disponendo di molte app per espandere le funzionalità molte di queste hanno un costo di abbonamenteo decisamente alto rispetto al prodotto base.

I use this as an add on to my Wix website. The combination of the two gives me absolutely everything I need. I like how easy it is to use and that I can customize it. I love the app. The assistance I have needed has also been top notch!

Ecwid offers the best social commerce for Instagram, Facebook, and Google shopping. With its in-built integration, you can in no time showcase your products on your social network platforms. Ecwid offers a lot of channels but the social ones are a stand-out for me.

Ecwid's SEO is not as robust as its competitors like Shopify. For your site to be discovered on Google search with just its SEO won't cut it. You will need to push more SEO towards your connected blog, and perhaps other third parties services you have connected to your store.

Actually, it was the customer service that rocks. Management has their hand in your pocket 24/7 nudging you to buy or upgrade. very annoying. Ths CS team does a great job, maybe they can send management home early soon.

Constantly having to needing to upgrade when some of these items should be included in the monthly fees. It is very hard to budget when it is necessary to buy an optional plugin or and unexpected item you thought was part of the package isn't and more money goes out the door for that instead of for the customer or potential customer.

It has a mobile version too but only for paying users. Management and overview are spectacular from the mobile version. You can also fulfill orders from the mobile version too. They also have a referral program that pays well. Over all 5 stars

Unlike Shopify that has a lot of developers on it thereby having more apps to integrate. Ecwid isn’t that filled with dev ops so certain add ons needed will need you to make a formal request from the support team which also incurs a feee but you can always use youtube if your coding skills are okay

I really enjoy the user experience as a whole. It is very simple to understand and get a store up and running. I use a built-in Ecwid plugin for a Duda website-building platform. So, it is like a 3rd party Ecwid store. Because of this, there are a few features that are missing but overall, you can still build a very nice online store. The framework and layouts are very easy to understand and use as well as you are able to customize many things on each page. The catalog page, single item page, checkout, and more.

One of my clients is a greenhouse and they have around 2,000 products. Until recently, there was no way to bulk change pricing or other features for select products which was a pain to have to change every product individually. Ecwid has made an update so this is possible which has saved about an hour of clicking and pasting which is awesome. However, there is still room for improvement. For example, there are additional buying options for some products, such as different sizes however, if you increase the price for the product but the large size/other buying options need to increase by a different size, that still has to be completed manually by changing each product itself which is very time-consuming. I contact support and they informed me that this could be done but I had to contact the developer and then purchase an app and pay for it monthly in order to complete this. I just needed to make this change once, so I don't want to pay monthly for something I need a couple times a year.

We used Ecwid as a plug in to our website to sell our handmade board games. It was easy to set up through the app store on wix and integrated directly into our website. It also worked directly with our phone and square hardware to be able to create a POS system when we when to trade shows to be able to accept peoples credit cards quickly while emailing them a receipt.

The online store had many design and display options, the ability to put certain things on sale, the highlight items you want to move, and to separating things into different categories. It also keeps great track of your inventory. It really was a one stop solution to selling our product online.

Inconvénients

There was a slight issue when we first started using it for an in person Point of sales system with Square as it would either record our purchases twice with no great way to correct that or it would only show the sale on the square app and not Ecwid so it wouldn't remove the item from our inventory. We eventually got it worked out though through their customer care and all was good.

Easy to use. The free store option is possible for life long if you have got less than ten products. This free feature nobody offers. Customer service is very good. We can customize the software with a price though. There are additional apps to help us with a few things. I am satisfied with the software even though it's not 100% perfect. That's only because of the nature of business changes for every company.

There are a few. But still, the software is usable and good. Sometimes the software loads slowly in mobile phones and I feel it's a and network issue.
Once I update a paid order, this would not show when and what time the update was made. SImilarly for any updated crucial step, this software would not show.
The change inside the order, for example, adding a product or deleting a product won't automatically calculate the taxes. We have to manually redo the calculation for all the products in the order. Customizations are not very cheap and very few free apps to integrate. Overall the cost may increase if you need a lot of additional apps.
For example, an e-commerce website will definitely need to ship in most cases. So creating a shipping label should be an integral part of any e-commerce website. I am not sure only Ecwid does not have it or no websites have it. But an e-commerce website should have it. I feel it now after using a website.

This software is easy to teach and can be used on any device. When showing my clients of multiple ages how to add new products and keep inventory they catch on easy. You can integrate your store on different platforms like Adobe Muse, Wix, Wordpress etc. Or create your own generic store using their store builder. There are more options for product variations than most other programs out there.

Unfortunately customizing your store look is very complicated. You need to have some level of coding to do so or you have to hire a designer to do it for you. The main downside is it doesnt work well if you want to use it or a restaurant. Food options, layout, mixed with customizability does cause an issue in the food industry.
