I am by no means an accountant and my husband had more than a few headaches running his small business on Amazon Marketplace. This software solved all of them and it is totally reliable and a huge time saver.

Inconvénients

The only gripe I have is that it does not cross over into eBay.

This tool makes reporting my Amazon sales simple and is a real timesaver. It's much easier to understand a2x's reports compared to Amazon's, and I feel reassured that my Amazon accounts are accurate in Xero.

It's a bit tricky to setup, but that's mainly because of all the different tax settings across different Amazon marketplaces. Thankfully, a2x's customer support is excellent, and I was quickly able to get started.

The software saves the need for running loads of separate reports for our accountancy and bookkeeping.

Nothing to dislike. It really does save so much time from the way we doing doing it before.

Ease of use and TIME SAVING. When I can simply log in, click "Send to Xero" and that's it? How great is that. I love how all the accounts save and when there is a new one, you simply map it and it will remember for the next time. The setup is 'front-loaded', so once that's done; it's set it and forget it.

Inconvénients

Switching between regions is a bit annoying. If I'm in my US marketplace and click to switch to my UK one, I have to refresh my connection to my Xero account each time. Mild nuisance.

Avantages

Various clients using Shopify, tried various other integrations, but none really worked that well. A2X has worked brilliantly. Support is also responsive. I highly recommend A2X.

Does what we need, so feel like it's not missing much at all.

It makes a job which was taking hours happen in a few minutes, even when I have to update the mappings each time as we keep adding new lines to our Amazon shop. Makes my month end reporting so much easier and timely! Also customer service is awesome. I experienced some issues setting up the mapping which couldn't be resolved via the online help so I was given a 1-2-1 video call to go through everything.

Inconvénients

Setting up the mappings was very time consuming but worth spending the time on it to get it right.

The software seems to have absolutely everything thought of and built in. All the concerns I could possibly have about the software have been thought of and addressed very well

Inconvénients

The onboarding has actually been horrendous. Getting simple questions answered has taken days or a week. The videos are impossible to understand. The support calls are rarely in my timezone. I cut my Mother's Day lunch short to attend an online meeting only to have the A2X person cancel as I was about to log on. The different reps give contradicting instructions. The onboarding has taken many many weeks and has held up our bank recs and government reporting as we can't finalise set up.

Seamless transfer of data from Amazon to Xero.
The chart of accounts helps allocate the expenses in the right area and you get a good idea on your spending.

Initially the GST set up was confusing but i was able to figure it out.

A2X seamlessly transfers Amazon data to QBO. It made tracking closing fees and FBA fees so much easier! I recommend it to anyone who wants easy and accurate Amazon data reflected on their accounting software. Also, their customer service team is top tier. They really take the time to understand my issue and answer in a proficient manner. Once I asked them a question about another software, and I ended up getting a better and more practical answer from the A2X team than said software's CS team!

Inconvénients

For what I am using it for, I don't think A2X has any significant cons. I could see them having a mid tier between 1k and 5k, because my sales usually hover right above 1k units per month but I have to take a significant price increase to my subscription. I think a midway 2,5k plan would be perfect for me, with a discount. I may be one of the few people experiencing this problem due to my particular circumstances though.

It is accurate and efficient. It syncs to Xero seamlessly (most of the time) and I can have accurate monthly reporting as it splits out the invoices at month end.

Sometimes invoices won't sync through and I don't know about it until I login and check - a warning email would be great.

Integration with both Shopify and Amazon. Removing worries about tax jurisdictions for Amazon by automating for all marketplaces. Saves so much time in transferring orders into Xero.

I love the support and the fact I"m able to get summarized data. Most softwares for e-commerce post transactional data which isn't necessary at the end of the day.

Figuring out how to to use the software at first was a real challenge but once I got a hold of customer service they were able to guide me on every step of the way.

The setup with QuickBooks was hard, It was difficult to know what accounts to use. most of the data matched but not all.

A2X will transfer all the sales data once Amazon makes deposits to your bank account. This software is useful and ease to use.
All you need is setting up the accounts according to the accounting principals and Quickbooks.

We will need to calculate the COGS ourselves, but we will base on the inventory data in A2X.

It's pretty automatic. It takes the headache out of getting your information from Amazon, into your accounting software.

You need to be really careful with your VAT settings if you're an EU seller. It's very easy to pull revenue figures from Amazon net of vat, which throws off your revenue by 20% in your accounting software, possibly leading to underpaying VAT.

This is not a fault of A2X, it's just something you NEED to be aware of. Whether you have VAT calculation turned on or off, and if A2X is reflecting that.

Lack of user manual. You must have a solid accounting background to understand the set up of this product.

Amazon tends to change line item descriptions slightly which effects the coding in A2X. It would be nice if A2X could catch these changes so you did not have to manually code them. This is only a one time code though and does not happen very often.

I am a college student and recently started using this product while I am interning. The product is so simple and easy to figure out even for someone not experienced in accounting. I am accounting major and love having to use this program instead of entering the entries myself

I had a little trouble figuring out how to account for Cost of Goods Sold on Amazon, but I believe they have updated the software to have that functionality.

My client took over a business trading through Amazon and Shopify. Their bookkeeper was spending 4-6 hours p.w. reconciling the transactions. I have subscribed them to A2X and its all done automatically.

Seamless flow of transactional data to my accounting systems. If there are errors on the flow, A2X will let me know, and usually an error just means that Amazon created a new account code that just needs a new mapping.
