Useful for sending transactional and marketing emails
I used SendGrid to manage my newsletter subscription for my subscribers.
Avantages
I like the custom API Integration and the Email Template Engine. This makes my life a lot easier in general.
Inconvénients
If the number of subscribers is more the cost per person gets expensive and it needs to support many Drupal features.

Simple interface and features, but requires more
Avantages
Like that the interface is simple and pretty intuitive, but only provides basic features. Would not use this for more elaborate marketing emails.
Inconvénients
Need more flexibility and customization tools associated with it. Automated tracking in UTMs can only be enabled or disabled, but I could not find a way to customize it, which is not ideal.

Feature Rich, Robust Email Sending Services
It's great! Reliable, fast, and free. Couldn't ask for a better combination.
Avantages
SendGrid is extremely reliable and offers many ways to integrate it's services. We use it as a mail relay for WordPress sites we host and setup for clients.
Inconvénients
There is nothing. There is a free plan even and I haven't run into any issues with it and have no negative feedback.

Great Email Sender

Had all the features I needed for managing emails for our web clients.
Inconvénients
A little confusing to setup certain parts as I was used to Mailgun.

Good when it works, but such hard work to get there
Avantages
Integration and SMTP service are easy and useful
Inconvénients
Their website and interface are hard, hard work sometimes. www.sendgrid.com will frequently 406 and not even give the homepage. app.sendgrid.com has 2FA that doesn't accept their own 2FA codes without retrying and entering the code *before* the one they just sent you. The "advanced" functionality like domain authentication page will just hang. Never got as far as paying for an account as the interface keeps fighting me.

Send grid is phenomenal for my daily email tasks.
Avantages
I have to utilize this tool daily when troubleshooting email issues at the work place. It's fantastic for finding the emails and verifying they sent, or why they didn't send.
Inconvénients
I wish the email message content was present and I didn't have to switch between several servers to verify all email sends.

I've used Sendgrid for automated emails. Does the job! Quite some styling options, different template styles
Inconvénients
The design/interface is not very natural. Takes some time to get to know it. Another annoying aspect: not possible to add more phone numbers or different ways for two-factor verification

SendGrid for Email Marketing
We've been using SendGrid over the past several months, and it has been everything we hoped it would be and more. The ability to manage unsubscriptions from campaigns is more effective than our prior vendor, and the management of users who forward campaigns to others and how this won't affect the initial user is a great feature.

A good partner
Avantages
The ease of use, the customer support and the availability of the reports.
Inconvénients
It is hard at the beginning to set it up. If you come from another provider and you directly need to send 5k emails on the first day, this might be impossible due to IP warming.

Great for starters
Avantages
- It is simple and easy to use.
- They have well-prepared documentation and knowledge base.
- The huge advantage is SMTP API, so it is possible to hook up almost every newsletter plugins.
- Great price for beginners with the small list not generating income yet.
Inconvénients
- No subscription forms, so you need to import contacts manually when no API is connected. There is Wordpress Widget but it is very poor.

If You Need to Send Emails, Use SendGrid
Since I wanted to make my own emails custom, SendGrid work great!
Avantages
I found their API really simple to use. Someone else on my project used it before, and it was incredibly easy to pick up and figure out. And it worked just as expected!
Inconvénients
If you don't need to programmatically send emails (i.e., build them yourself), then other options like MailChimp may be better.

Opening an account with SendGrid is like an out-of-body experience.
I initially opened the site to explore the solution. I thought the best way to evaluate this service was to try it, since there was a trial free version available and promoted on the site. They ask you for your name, the name of your company, and a few other questions, then for some odd reason a message flashes on the screen that you have not been accepted by them.
Inconvénients
Once you have been rejected by the system, that's it there is no way to start and account, and support flatly denies that they know why.

A Good Email Marketing Software to Check out
The BEST. I really recommend their service. You won't be disappointed
Avantages
Sendgrid is very easy to set and implement. I was a doubting thomas before i decided to try out their service. However, it was great. The SMTP feature is a good one. It also provides API service. It delivered mails to the INBOX in seconds.
Inconvénients
I've seen no fault so far. They serve my purpose and have never disappointed me.

very good if you can get startup benefits.
Avantages
Have been using send grid for a long time. the product is really intuitive and easy to start using. The Marketing Campaigns drag-and-drop editor is easy to learn and quick to navigate, once a campaign has been created for the first time it is very easy to duplicate and modify to suit your campaign. The API feature allows for easy integration with other marketing products in the company
Inconvénients
Not much wrong with the product. But the pricing can become high if you contact list is bigger. Once you sign up the customer support is pretty laggard, tried seeking help and clarifications and no one seem to be able to help out. It took almost 3-4 days for a resolution to come through

Avantages
I love the reporting aspects of sendgrid! You can a/b test, check open rates, check links, all the information you would need to know. We recommend it to our clients as well!
Inconvénients
The design could use a bit of work when it comes to making an email, unless you know coding the designing can get a bit clunky.

Worthy software, one of the best
I think sendgrid is one of the best out there for transaction emails, and email marketing. Their delivery is good, and fast customer service.

Easy to Use
It was ok but stopped using it because was looking a good mailing system to send mails to external DB.
Avantages
It was easy to send to send newsletter, promotions to existing users.
Inconvénients
Does not support email marketing for external Database, bounce rate is too high.

Just another email program
WAs disappointed because we were referred to this program. Found the price to make it even more discouraging to stick with it.
Avantages
There really is not much I can say about this mail program. It was recommended to us by a close colleague so we gave it a try.
Inconvénients
Though we were given this program as a referral from a colleague we found that after the trial period the costs to continue out weighed the need to use.

I does what I need with no cost to me
SendGrid has been great for me sending out small marketing campaigns.
Avantages
It's free package it quite comprehensive. I am able to do all my email marketing needs for my small web firm under the free package.
Inconvénients
No complaints here. They don't have a whole lot of premade email design templates, but the ones they have are simply and do the trick.

Great tool for transactional emails
I will continue to use SendGrid for sending transactional emails. They are easy to track and the tool is easy to integrate into web applications.
Avantages
Incredibly easy integration of SendGrid into our application with the community developed library for python. Sending transactional emails for user sign-up and other actions was very simple.
Inconvénients
It was not clear at first glance that the sandbox environment would send emails to a "blackhole." Of course, thinking about this now, it is obvious that it would work that way, but the fine print was hiding that fact.

SendGrid is a good app for sending email marketing campaigns. It is easy to use and also helpful to see if people have received and opened emails that you sent.
Inconvénients
The UI was horrendous when I used it. It really needed a fresh look in order to be more modern and easier for first time users.

Trusted and stable emailing service
As a startup, we did not want our emails to go into our customer's junk folders. What we wanted was a reliable and industry trusted emailing service. We chose sendgrid for that. Sendgrids email management dashboard not only tells you all the activity but also shows you and tracks each email sent out, received and their statuses like the email were opened by customers along with the time etc. It's just awesome!

Avantages
It is as easy to use as other SMTP providers I've used. The best thing though is that the customer service seems more responsive than another product we've dealt with.

It is extremely easy to edit custom HTML templates on SendGrid...just point, click, and edit.
Inconvénients
SendGid can be VERY technical and out of the box solution will get your emails blocked by Spam filters.

Great online mail delivery agent
Why deal with sending email? For pennies, you can get near guaranteed delivery to the most popular MTA and mail organizations. Easy API for integration and good access. Don't send spam, because Sendgrid trusts its customers and will quickly block your access if you are a spammer.

Sendgrid met all my expectations
Avantages
As a bootstrapped startup, Sendgrid's pricing plans attracted me initially. Subsequently, the ease of setting up a promotion email and the variety of templates made things easier further
Inconvénients
The 'action taken' confirmation message comes up at the top of the screen, and is not visible more often than not. Also would like to see Roboto typeface in the options

Easy to scale
I would just like to give my honest feedback. AWESOME! Service is great and affordable. The only downfall is i wish if they had trained their support reps better. Took me over 1 hour via chat to get the information i needed. Never the less, great platform.
