SendGrid makes it easy to have emails delivered right to my user's inbox. There are already a ton of integrations available. The API itself is really easy to use.
I haven't gone a day without using it since I signed up.

Inconvénients

Every time you change plans, you need to explain the upgrade. I know it's a security measure to avoid spammers, but it could take a little less longer.

Avantages

As a developer, the importance of clear well-written documentation cannot be overstated. In my opinion, SendGrid's documentation is one of their best assets.

Inconvénients

SendGrid definitely excels as an email deliverability platform for applications, but their offering for email marketing when compared to the likes of MailChimp, ActiveCampaign and, etc. leaves a lot to be desired.

We have been using this tool in integration with our CRM from last 4 years and it's just near perfect as it provides me with timely delivery of emailer and foremost their reports.

I guess a bit tedious to use. Overall nothing like least about the software.

SendGrid is a very reliable email service. With our local service, we consistently had delivery problems for our transactional email, and often ran into IP blacklisted and our emails being considered spam. After switching to SendGrid those problems have gone away. SendGrid has a great user interface, is easy to setup, and allows for us to easily see when emails have been delivered, opened, or when links have been clicked. Great customer service, highly recommend!

Inconvénients

Email logging could have a longer history on the sendgrid website, however they do have an API to receive the email history data so we can capture and store the data ourselves so it's somewhat offset.

If you are looking for an alternative to Amazon simple email sending than look no further. Sendgrid provides better deliverability, more stats, is more user friendly and offers many more features.

Cost, would be great if the plans started at a lower price so that you could grow with them, instead of having to wait to reach a certain size.

Our services are down and the customer services is pathetic without a resolution for more tha 24 hours. It has affected put business operations. This is the worst services I have ever seen from a SaaS company.

SendGrid marketing campaigns provide easy to use tools for managing our mailings lists. The templates work well and the reporting tools help me identify any issues that need to be addressed.

We use it to send out invoices daily. It makes the process very seemless with just the click of a button. It also give great tools on how to track your emails. We also use it for marketing emails.

Sendgrid is a very easy to use email service with a clean user interface and tons of functionality. We switched to sendgrid for all our transactional email to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of our email. The integrations and web site with logging is extremely helpful to track down emails and ensure delivery. Highly recommend

Email delivery is terrible. The same blacklisted IPs are used over and over again causing nothing but embarrassment and frustration. When you submit tickets, and if they answer, they will paste a canned response that encourages you to upgrade to the next tier. I honestly think their algorithm intentionally does this to force clients up the marketing funnel.
I came for email delivery, not the pretty GUI. I got a pretty GUI and horrific email delivery.

The ease of use, particularly when templating the HTML emails. Completed my first template in a snap and am now able to send emails to tens of thousands in a snap.

I used SendGrid's API for NodeJS to send out transactional email and it works well. SendGrid has great documentation on how to set up and configure everything. The free tier was more than enough for what I needed.

Sendgrid has a free tier, but if you're sending out a large number of emails daily I can see where it may get expensive.

I should say that they got to do something about customer service. It takes a lot of time to get a response from the customer service and at times we have found a few of our accounts getting suspended without any valid reason. Hope they do something about these issues but otherwise this software is just perfect!

Specialization templates and sending them via code is so easy. It has very clear documentation and application clients

We use this product for sending/tracking emails from our product.
It's super efficient in tracking.
Email deliveries are on spot and there are very fewer chances that bulk emails will hit SPAM.
We are overall very happy with the choice we have made with them.

The only thing I would like them to improve is on the backtracking of the content which was sent.
Currently, we are able to track the email that who sent it and when and whether it's opened or not but we are not able to track what was sent in that emails so that our customer support can be more efficient.

We have started with a free forever plan to make email and send it to bulk users of our organizations. Since it starting of exploring the tool we get major features like:-

Sendgrid is not able to retry billing. If one billing attempt files, then angry message is sent and then you need to have access to computer with whitelisted IP to click “update payment details” or else billing will not happen and service is stopped. Paypal is not possible. This is most annoying and I do not suggest sendgrid to anyone. Cannot trust or suggest service like that.

It is relatively quite easy to configure and setup as compared to a couple of other services that we tried. The customer support is quite readily available.
There are lot of email templates to use from; can build a custom one too.
In all, a great tool & simple to use!

The interface may be overwhelming for some because there are too many things that can be done with this tool. This may be a boon as well as a curse for some.
Otherwise there's nothing much to dislike about this tool.

It is really nice when someone claims they didn't get an email to be able to see that they did, in fact, get it and they have opened it multiple times. It is also nice for when they actually don't get it you can see that the error is somewhere in their settings or that you need to adjust something on your end.

You can only see 3 days worth of information unless you want to purchase 30 days of history. I don't need 30 but I need more than 3. It's always frustrating when the email went out on Monday but you don't realize they didn't get it till Friday and you now can't check.

One of the best softwares for driving email marketing strategy. The best templates that I have come across, also the amount of personalization that can be driven through personas is great. The flexibility around add unsubscribed prosepects is good. Pricing models are very flexible and great choice for startups.

The product performs well overall, more personalized targeting features can be added such as IP based etc. The product is more suited towards B2C email marketing, more B2B marketing features can help

There are mainly two things that I like about SendGrid, first is that it is easy to set-up, and secondly it provides better email deliverability. Also, Sendgrid is one of the low cost solutions, which makes it one of my favorite Email API Software.

We send out emails daily to thousands of our users that in-turn drive traffic to our site. Their ability to send and deliver emails out is phenomenal! If there's any issues with their server, they are quick to let their users know and we can streamline that to our users.

They have a strong support system but would be nice to have a complimentary consultation service that is built into your subscription.
