Avantages

I like the integration with Office 365, this is an obvious advantage if you're already into the Microsoft's ecosystem. It is a very robust program and it feels a lot more complete compared to other tools in its class.

Inconvénients

I find it is a bit harder to get started on Visio than on other more simple tools like draw.io, the interface isn't as intuitive and simple.

Powerful program for drawing plans and structural charts, is easy to use and contains a wide range of design tools that facilitates the development of flow charts for users with little experience

Slightly expensive for personal use. Otherwise for the intended use, I see no real problem with Visio

I like using Visio to help create operational processes and flowcharts. Creating these flowcharts was so easy as the software is user friendly.

I haven't used this software enough to really find anything that I wouldn't like it. So far our needs have been met with the flowcharts for our front office operations and workflow.

Being able to use templates and search for assets for a visio document makes it really easy to find what you need.

Inconvénients

While visio can be easy to get into, the learning curve can be steep. There are a lot of useful features that take time to learn in order to effectively use the software.

the ui is simple and is an easy fix solution for when you're in a hurry.
it's cool that it has a lot of templates from where to start.

We use this for creating network maps and some flow charting. Works great and has a lot of downloadable content to add to projects.

To me it has a large learning curve. may want to take some classes to use it like a pro.

I've started working with business processes and analyzing them. This tool is GREAT and pretty easy to use to build process flow diagrams. Simple templates that I can drag and drop onto my screen.

I think my computer has some issues sometimes with the tool because the software crashes sometimes (randomly) but I don't think this is the tool as much as maybe the operating system on my computer.

Visio is easy to use and very helpful. A timesaving tool to make org charts look professional. Visio is very accessible and part of the Microsoft family.

I think some more advertising and more media is needed to bring more users to use this helpful software.

I can create basic diagrams or more complex diagrams. This software also makes it easy to create flow charts. The bottom line: if you are a visual person, then you need this!

This is a great tool, but I become very frustrated when the connector lines don't fit properly. I waste time on something that should be so simple. For the price, I feel that it could be better.

It is convenient to use Visio to create a flow chart diagram. This is what user usually apply during the work.

Since other office product such excel and word also provide similar function in terms of creating flow chart / diagram, it seems Visio is not such required.

Visio allows my most dedicated of professionals to see their vision converted from electric brain waves to mechanical plans for others to see.

The digital download makes my life easier from a management perspective. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Expensive. If you move a connector line at one end of a box, the whole thing jumps at the other end and changes shape. It starts drawing connector lines at random, even when in text mode, and you have to cut therm. You can spend hours getting it right what should take 15 minutes.

Sometimes when printing the file printed is beyond the paper. But when it is on the computer, it looks ok. Hard to reshape the diagram to fit sometimes

It's a powerful tool. I can get rid of the traditional way of drawing a chart using the rectangles and diamond shapes. Which allows you to insert pictures to represent the flow more appealingly.

It was kind of difficult to use and it took me a while to learn how to use it. I tried playing around with with it and I had trouble. Once I had a coworker show me how to work my way around, it was easy.
