Visio is a must for producing complex diagrams
Production of process and flow diagrams to assist migration to new Accounting system
Avantages
After my initial training with Visio (was used by our team for building design) I produced complex flow diagrams of how our new Accounts software would work which was easy for the software developers to follow. A good little tool.
Inconvénients
Nothing I can think about perhaps more templates of samples so you can see how others have used the software

NOT a good choice
Microsoft will not help you whatsoever with any problems you may encounter. Visio appears cool, but the interface is not easily adjusted and does not allow much room to import from pre-existing files. Would not recommend. Too expensive for tools you could find on any other Microsoft application.

Attractive interface, multiple charts/tables to start from
Inconvénients
Microsoft is extremely unhelpful when you attempt to contact them with any questions. Additionally, many problems arose for me when I used this app. Be aware than only people with Visio installed on their computer can even VIEW charts/tables/graphs. Very limited.

BEST app for any work diagram!
Avantages
I can even do work network diagram, floor plan, even my personal gardening plan using this app alone, and convert them in pdf.

I love how Visio's formatting is designed to allow you to easily make lines and shapes the same size and spacing and how easy it is to customize each flowchart.
Inconvénients
Visio is a difficult program to learn how to use. It would have been helpful if I had the option to use a short walkthrough to learn all of the different formatting techniques.

We have tried several software packages that would provide us the opportunity to create flow charts for all our processes. Some lacked the options we needed, while others were just too complicated and time consuming. Visio is so simple and provides absolute professional results in no time!
