Avantages

Je suis entrain de progressivement migrer vers Revit par nécessité. L'avantage majeur est la facilité de modélisation des formes complexes.

Inconvénients

Courbe d'apprentissage relativement longue. Interface peu ergonomique.

Avantages

Intégration, interopérabilité (même si perfectible)

Inconvénients

coût, lourdeur de certaines fonctions, intégrations terrains depuis google maps impossible

3D structure modeling is terrific!
I use Revit to draw a 3D model for building and other structures.

Inconvénients

I have been using Revit for couple years and i had no problems with it.

Avantages

The ease of making plans in 3D is unparalleled and far superior to others. It is very easy to make 2D/3D plans and also apply finishes from the inbuilt library.

Inconvénients

Some essential features such as the rendering fall behind and it feels very clunky and unusable, forcing us to rely on a 3rd party render software.

Revit is the only option for large scale BIM at this point in the MEP design space

Revit can be really difficult to deal with at certain times depending on what you are trying to do

The ease of designing for mechanical systems and the integrated components.

There is a difficult learning curve and some of the commands are not straight forward.

Avantages

The best thing I can highlight about Revit is that it made it very easy for me to create accurate three-dimensional models, which helps me as a teacher to teach and the students to better understand the concepts and develop practical design and construction skills. Another good point to consider is that it provides a real-time collaboration feature that promotes interactive and collaborative learning in the classroom both face-to-face and virtual.

Inconvénients

The only negative thing to highlight about this tool is that it requires a computer with good or current characteristics to work correctly.

Revit has endless capabilities for construction management. From design to final punch list, its tools are helpful and useful each step of the way

Inconvénients

There is a huge learning curve for using this product. This is to be expected with the large about of data and design being processed. There are probably some UI changes that could help with this.

Avantages

Es un software que me permite realizar trabajos, teniendo en cuenta variables, métricas, cómputos, listados de materiales, y piezas gráficas bien proyectadas. Poder hacer múltiples actividades, desde dibujar, diseñar un modelo, hasta realizar un cómputo o lograr un render, todo en un mismo lugar, es bastante útil.

Inconvénients

El punto negativo destacable de este programa, es su curva de aprendizaje. No es un software fácil de utilizar, no se da de forma tan dinámica e intuitiva, y requiere de capacitación para lograr resultados profesionales.

O software tem várias ferramentas que agiliza o desenvolvimento de um projeto, a possibilidade de criar um projeto arquitetônico integrado com outras modalidades, facilitando a compatibilidade de projetos, assim tras vários benefícios para os usuários.

Inconvénients

O que nenos gosto é da dificuldade de implantar o software, sendo um processo demorado e complicado, poderia melhora nessa parte. Já na questão de funcionalidades poderia diminuir o tempo de processamento da renderização.

Avantages

Revit works well with DWG files which are the industry standard. It also is a solid BIM program with most of the expected features. It is relatively straight forward to create good looking 2D drawings. The collaboration tools are useful.

Inconvénients

The internal management of sheets could be better. This has lead to issues with batch printing and sheet numbering.

While being a smaller firm, we understand we could make do with software such as Sketchup since it's relatively cheaper and can absolutely get the job done. However, in our office's experience, the second you have more than 2 people in your office with more and more projects on your plate the more of a time and money sink it becomes having to keep track of coordinating all of your models. Revit, especially with BIM 360 cloud storage, is an amazing asset to have when it comes to collaboration and sheet creation. We also love to use Enscape with Revit to produce our marketing material.

Inconvénients

There is absolutely a learning curve that goes into taking on this program. Not only will you need time to get accustomed to speaking Revit's language and recognize its quirks, but you'll likely want to invest into premade templates and families since the defaults available on Revit aren't quite at a presentation standard. (Also, there's an example of the the language thing I mentioned; families can be anything from doors, fixtures, casework, etc.) Beyond the initial setup, there's still aspects of the UI that aren't exactly intuitive, but there have been improvements made over the years but it's still far from perfect.

Avantages

One of the most intuitive solid modeling programs. Can be used for a versatile field. It is useful in floorplan designing, 3-D modeling, and everything in between. It seems like the industries are turning towards Revit more and more.

Inconvénients

It is still missing some functions that other programs have had forever. Such as a trim function, or a grouping function. Although it has other commands that help make up for this. It can definitely glitch out quite a bit, and sometimes it only allows you to do certain tasks in sketch view even when they should be available in solid view.

Avantages

Revit's ability to coordinate with other software programs through the use of BIM standards allows for better collaboration and communication among project stakeholders.

Inconvénients

The complexity of the software's features requires significant time and effort to master.

en mi caso me a servido para elaborar y diseñar en 3d con vista de acotaciones muebles en general con medidad muy exacta, repito para rendes 3d es ideal , al ser de la familia autodesk tiene mejora muy considerable cada version

Inconvénients

las plantillas son muy basicas,es complicado de manejar por que su comando basico cambian entre versiones, requiere especificacione de sistemas y ocupa mucho espacio de memoria ram

Avantages

I enjoy how Revit lets me work with multiple disciplines at once by creating a central file that imports their data automatically. I also like how it allows me to schedule doors, windows, and other modeled elements throughout my project. Additionally, Revit's collaboration tools make working with many people easy.

Inconvénients

When using CAD plot software, I had to send my plot sheets to Plotmaker before I started; Revit provided better results and was easier to use when creating objects. Consequently, a flame war would break out if someone argues this point.

Avantages

One of the best features on Revit, because it is a BIM software, everything you work is created on several planes, on floor plans, elevations, section cuts and 3D model. As you progress, you feed the project with premade infomation about materials, thermal resistance, finishing layer and other stuffs, wich is premade (already within the software) or it can be dowloaded and also created by yourself. Revit has a very large library avaible within but there are a lot of elements avaible to dowload on internet.

The best plus is once you have gone through your project, is that withe the parameters you fed, you can easily create charts of materials and elements quantities, helping with later stages of the project (like construction quotes).

Inconvénients

As autocad, the learning curve is extensive, you have to dedicate several hours to get acquainted, most importantly getting and creating libraries for everything, furniture, texts, symbols, materials...., but once you get what you use the most, everything goes more swiftly.

Avantages

Revit is a great tool to bring ideas into reality. It's as close as one can get to a real. I loved how one can use the walkthrough feature to visualize each and every corner of the house.

Inconvénients

Revit is complicated to use. If there is one little mistake it takes hours to figure it out, even with the use of Autodesk's help tool.

It's not so easy to use but this is one of the Best software to 3D projecting and modelling, especially for blocks of models.

Avantages

I love the way Revit can make a high-quality project. It's easy to work in Revit, and as the objects are parametric, they contain lots of information about it. So it's easier to do a project because quantitative information can be extracted, you can have a 3D model to show to the client, and clash detection can be used to compatibilize the projects. Moreover, it's really possible to integrate the teams, and that results always in a project with more quality, in less time, and less rework.

Inconvénients

The lack of interoperability with other software is the greatest barrier to implement BIM methodology. Even the interoperability between Revit and Robot is not 100% achieved.

Avantages

Revit allows you to design complicated structural designs and creative Architectural concepts with intricate details compatible with Autodesk programs for exports. It helps you build from scratch and develope your design project with completely definable attributes. It is also possible to render your final design.

Inconvénients

The issue with revit is that its more complex and time consuming than its counterpart, Archicad. You will take alot of time defining objects that come predefined in other softwares. It also lacks built in Furniture Library.

Revit is excellent in looking at a 3D model and completing building services designs particularly the abilty to coordinate with other services.

Inconvénients

There is alot to learn so initially it can be daunting getting into. This software requires training but once trained (much like any other major software), its straight forward enough to use.
