If you want to develop mobile app even without knowledge on how to do it, AppSheet is the perfect software you can rely on. This mobile development software makes you feel that you are an expert software developer because when your data was set-up properly, instantly your own customized and preferred app will be perfectly launched and published. I always use this app whenever I want my school records and data in a form of spreadsheets to easily share with my students and colleagues.

As an end-user, I can't figure out what I don't like about this software. For me, this makes mobile app development enjoyable in an easy way!

Useful and Light-weight App that encompasses all businesses. With its no-code feature makes it comfortable for entrepreneurs to navigate and customize design/content from pool of templates easily integrated to other platforms.

AppSheet lets you have more control of your data in Google Sheets. If you already know how to use Sheets formulas, AppSheet will be a quick learn. You can easily control who sees what data and do data validation. AppSheet takes care of the UI for you, so no time wasted creating a pretty interface. I really enjoyed this since I do not know UX design.

Inconvénients

The mindset of just working with Sheets and Sheets formulas can be a challenge for someone used to working with traditional developing languages. Trying to determine what my bots were doing was hard at first, though this may just be a mindset shift for me.

Limitations in the design of the user interface.
I've experienced slow response of the app with tables over 10.000 records (sync too long).

Like AppyPie, AppSheet attempts to remove coding from the app development process. I'm not sure this can ever really be achieved. I find the AppSheet apps have a more modern UI than AppyPie and have a better catalogue of example/demo apps.
I believe these tools are best for MVP type applications where you want to quickly deploy an idea however they may never replace coding your own (or having someone code your own) app.

Inconvénients

I find it very hard to tweak the UI enough to really produce an app that isn't instantly recognizable as a WYSIWYG type app. Perhaps that isn't the case for everyday users, but for developers and techie type people, it's easy to spot.

The ease of managing the functionality of your app and the documentation is really helpful. The app community is also a very accessible and convenient platform to discuss and seek guidance

Since there is so much margin to grow on this platform you tend to start feeling a bit restricted with the features available.

Several applications, easy use and totally configurable. Using google sheets we have recorded all our data, all our team member have access to all races we have participated, future events, image gallery....Infinite possibilities with Appsheet.

Limit of users, in our case, we are using Publisher plan. Not found more cons at the moment, they are improving the app so they are removing users problems.

It has its limitation right now. I am hoping this is a development problem so that this is something that keeps getting better. For instance I would like to have the gps / map functionality report the schools, churches, malls, restaurants, points of interest such as parks on the map. As a realtor I created a app that shows my team our listings. It would be a wonderful thing if I could also say where are the closest schools. Further I would then like to with the tap of a button send a feature sheet to the buyers email. That allows me to ask for a email.

I most liked that it was easy to use resources we already had in the form of spreadsheets and databases. We didn't have to recreate/reformat anything to create the app.

Inconvénients

I least liked that the chain of command for support is not direct. I had an instance where I wasn't getting a reply and had sent three emails, but no-one new from support would help me because the first guy was handling it. This was time-consuming and inefficient and made me feel as though the whole support team rested on one person. The integration with Airtable is still in it's very early stages so if all your data is in Airtable, I would recommend moving to Google Sheets if your heart is set on Appsheet.

Even though I can't confidently say that what I like least about using appsheet is the cloud-based delay (my internet connection is so not good!), I mention it because maybe more can be done with the offline features.

As a user, you don't have to be an expert dealing with codes, data structures and so on. Just using your smart devices, you can get nice results. I notice that the app runs in Android systems and Iphone too. The way you can personalize your work was so nice and intuitive for me.

I know the english is the most common language for software developers, but I had some issues working with people in spanish and portuguese.

..but it's total useless, even when you want to create a holiday dinner app, it can't be elaborated, one can't add other dishes other than the ones that are by default offered in the program, the place of the dinner on the map is also set by default and can't be changed.

Connects with Google Sheets, easy to use, simple and easy fixes in a pinch of a second, allows for quick edits on the fly via the mobile app.

Maybe add more workflow and button features within a row of a spreadsheet and to more easily auto-fill information.
