Motive is an essential tool for fostering a culture of safety on the road.

Motive has made us champions of road safety by giving the most impeccable experience in monitoring our vehicles health. It allows our drivers to be super alert and vigilant on the road by giving them clear visibility all around them. Motive also allows to constantly monitor our vehicles for maintenances helping us avoid inconvenience of vehicle breakdowns.

Avantages

Motive has very advanced AI powered monitoring features that help us to gain clear view of our vehicles, their equipments and their health status. It has efficient vehicle tracking features that allows us to keep tabs with the location of our vehicles at all times. Motive provide our drivers with deep view of the road conditions helping them to stay alert and avoid accidents. It also provides real time view of all activities in the vehicle allowing us to protect the carried goods from theft.

Inconvénients

All aspects about Motive have met our expectations. It has not shown us any weaknesses or given us any reasons to hate anything about it.

Great system!

Very good system with good user interface. Easy to navigate, good safety and equipment reporting. Makes coaching easy and helps change driver behavior.

Avantages

In cab coaching, real time feedback is the best method for influencing behavior.

Inconvénients

Cornering events are inconsistent and hard to coach.

High quality, great features and reports, and easy to use.

Support from Motive has been great. They have good training and technical documentation. Everything works as it should with nice features and reports. No complaints whatsoever.

Avantages

We use the Motive Dashcam and Omnicams on our fleet of trucks. There are plenty of features to cover everything needed. What I like best is how easy it is to maintain everything on their website. Finding video clips is very intuitive and having that video documentation is invaluable when needed.

Inconvénients

I haven't really found any negatives so far.

Very good, but there is room for improvement.

Our account representative changed 3 times in almost 6 months. We had an accident with one of our trucks where the camera got destroyed in the wreck. Even after sending the camera in, we still couldn't get the footage.

Avantages

Ease of tracking drivers and logs. We were able to easily obtain and schedule maintenance records for all vehicles.

Inconvénients

Customer service and obtaining footage from accidents.

Horrible customer support

If this company wants to improve they must acknowledge issues with their equipment and software and horrible support they have. Their support is from Pakistan and almost every time when you call you lose connection. So when you call back you have to start all over explaining your issue.

Avantages

I was really happy with product and support. But lately we started having issues and customer service takes too long to resolve issues. We even end up getting violations from DOT because of issues that take too long to resolve. Getting your rep reached its impossible I have been emailing and calling my rep for 14 days and no answer. Whenever their equipment fails they always blame on driver or anything else but their equipment. Their customer support from Pakistan has horrible connection and never calls you you back when you get disconnected.

Inconvénients

Horrible customer support lately its impossible to reach your rep or receive support in time.

It ahs been very good. There are always bumps in the road but you always work through them.

Easy to use and very easy for a first time user to log in and get started.

Motive is first class

We use Motive for electronic logging, dash cam, asset tracking and compliance for fuel reports. Everything has been great and Safety Auditor for New Entrant Safety Audit stated that KT/Motive was the “gold standard” of ELD’s

Avantages

The software is easy to use and setup was also easy. The dashboard and the features available are incredible.

Inconvénients

At this point I have nothing negative to say about the software.

Best Decision for our Company

our company bata test equipment for KT and are always giving back feedback i love that i have meeting with there reps about new futures for dash board and actually use our feedback and listen to there customers needs and wants

Avantages

its always current and up to date with all new changed to make sure our fleet is compliant with all FMCSA changes. customer success mamagers are always available and on hand. friendly to use for drivers and easy to install.

Inconvénients

sometimes the call center takes a while to fix issue, when i call they have to send to another tier and sometimes things need to be done now so drivers arent in violation.
When sending cameras or RMA couldnt take couple days then i forgot about the issue.

It is easy to monitor all trucks and drivers in one dashboard.

Avantages

Easy to us for both driver and fleet management. Reliable (trust worthy) compared to other providers. Complex integration capability.

Inconvénients

Does not have an easy way of keeping the inventory of the equipment, more specific it doesn't provide a clear evidence of the dashcams assigned/purchased by the company.

this system has been a great system from the start and through all the upgrades that have come along

Avantages

easy to use for all of my drivers and the dash board for Admin is easy to navigate and understand

Inconvénients

drivers become disconnected with their Bluetooth and the truck, and sometimes will drive all day disconnected.

Proceed with eyes open

My overall experience with KT is OK. I think the pricing is quite high and the selections are limited. The only way to get a fair price is to sign a three-year contract and that seems unreasonable. We don't mind paying the $40 per month but to pay that and the $150 when ordering an ELD is too much. There should be another level of pricing in there somewhere.

Avantages

The software works very well and when there are issues, the support personnel are outstanding. I can't say enough positive things about the support staff. Getting drivers on and off the ELDs usually goes very well, also, and instigating new vehicles also flows pretty well. We also take advantage of the Electronic Logbook option for drivers who log but are not required to have ELDs. That is a very positive option for us.

Inconvénients

Navigating the dashboard is cumbersome. I primarily monitor logs so I would like a quicker way to get to those screens.

KeepTruckin / Newkirk Logistics

I have worked with several different ELD systems in my 10 year career as a Safety Manager. I've always preferred KeepTruckin. It is registered with the FMCSA., easy to use, and navigate.

Avantages

Easy to train to use. Has all DOT Compliance Regulations required.

Inconvénients

I do wish some staff members in Support were better aware of difficulties and solutions. I've had the ball dropped many times.

Bad support team and faulty ELD's

Avantages

The ease of use to deploy and manage. The overview map is good too.

Inconvénients

ELD's dont work half the time, and the overview map gets truck stuck in one location for months. Phone support is ok while responsiveness to emails is awful.

The Racing Industry

Works great and anytime I have had a problem support is great.

Avantages

As a transport driver for a racing series we wear many different hats in our roll. Keep Trucking minimalism helps us stay more focused on the work at the tracks.

Inconvénients

Only wish I could add directly to the app a digital copy of fuel receipts from vendors like loves, pilot etc .. instead of having to take a picture in the app.

Avantages

Effective and easy to use. It’s flawless every time I need to use the log feature. Now that I’m required to have an electronic logging device it is comforting to know everything is is in order

Keeps me Trucking

I would recommend the product to others.

Avantages

Ease of use. Simple, clear instructions. Easy to edit if necessary.

Inconvénients

I have to dig deep to find something I don't care for, but honestly, the only issue I have had in two years, is that on two occasions it did not record my mileage. Called customer service and the problem was corrected quickly.

When I’m driving I don’t know that a message is comming this is in pportant in case the load has changed I have to stop truck and see if I have any message

Run away as fast as you can

Worst company I have ever dealt with. The actual product is fine however everything that required assistance from Motive from the time I signed the contract until now has been torture. I am counting the days until my contract expires so I can switch back to my previous provider!

Once it was up and running it was fine nothing great stands out compared to others I have used
