J'ai voulu changer d'auto répondeur parce qu'on me disait qu'activ campaign était bien et que j'avais des soucis avec mon logiciel qui ne faisait pas le one click register. Et la je me suis retrouvée avec des mails non délivrés. La panique !

Inconvénients

J'ai donc fait valoir mon droit de rétractation puisque j'étais dans les à 9 jours de mon achat annuel. Le conseiller m'a répondu de suite et depuis plus de nouvelles. Ça fait maintenant plus d'une semaine. Attention à vous, soyez bien sûr de votre achat, vous n'aurez pas le droit de rétractation.

The outcome or outflow of automation when a client starts to make contact doesn't seem to work well yet.
The idea is that automatic communication needs to run smoothly as if the business is in direct contact with clients already - This doesn't work well yet, even if my URL & API key is correctly set & the contact fields on the contact forms are correctly setup on the website.
I believe & hope that soon it will be fine.

Avantages

In a perfect world, I would love to convince my org to allow us to switch exclusively to ActiveCampaign. We currently use a very popular, over-built, over-priced platform (which I will not name) that does not fulfill our needs. We don't use a lot of the features our current platform offers, which makes the experience unnecessarily complicated and clunky. I just want to build a simple email, send it easily and track engagement. That's it, and ActiveCampaign fits this bill. That's not to say ActiveCampaign is so simple it's lacking; in my opinion, it's not at all.

Using ActiveCampaign is foolproof. You can't mess up. It literally walks you through the email process step by step without jumping through all the unnecessary hoops. You can teach yourself the platform in no time.

A few highlights worth mentioning:

When building your email, you can simply copy/paste as plain text directly into the email and it will automatically format the text for you. Our current platform requires us to go into the coding screen to do this.

Elements are drag and drop. Sure, you can code if you want, but you can make some great designs without.

A minor feature I find super helpful: It remembers the last sender profile and list you used and defaults to that. LOVE that.

Importing new contacts is super simple.

Tracking: so easy. Instead of having to toggle through multiple screens to look at a user's history, you can see it all clearly in one spot.

Inconvénients

Honestly, I have no complaints about ActiveCampaign. I will say that they do charge extra if you exceed your plan's contacts limit. Which is understandable; every platform does this. All in all, it's a very affordable option.

I found ActiveCampaign took a little bit of a learning curve as do most things, but once you have developed an understanding of the software it is fairly easy to set up a campaign, add emails and monitor the mailings.

I did not really experience anything in dealing with the software that I found to be disappointing. I was able to learn and follow the architecture and get done what I needed to do in a timely manner.

Avantages

For my size company (startup <10), it's easier to manage, affordable and does what's required better than Infusionsoft/keap, Hubspot and others we've attempted to move to - but keep coming back.
There's necessarily a degree of complexity that a non-dedicated resource needs to handle and AC does this really well. It's a tool of my business, not the main event.

It may exist, though I've never stumbled across it, but an opportunity to learn from the benefit of others - we shouldn't have to discover, learn and trial everything if others with similar needs have done so in the past. Remove inefficiency from my adoption of the platform.

The most I like about Active Campaign is it's automation features. Befor ActiveCampaign I was looking after for a Eail MArketing Software with automation capabilities, and when I read about ActiveCamapign I switched from another software to AC.

Inconvénients

I have not discovered any cons in ActiveCampaign so far. I'm not telling it's perfect at all, but there are no cons form me until now. May be I can consider as a cons the gap in price between my current plan to the next plan, but I think it is worth the price.

The ability to track and manage email campaigns was very impressive. They had several features that, including time zone sending, insuring that each location received the email at the designated time that several others don't have.

This is one of the most expensive email marketing programs I have looked into but also the most complicated. They don't offer any basic training or help or tutorial if you are not proficient in this type of software. They did offer one on one training but only if you take their 2nd level program.
If you are new to this type of software and don't have a lot of time to figure things out, this is not the right choice. Very disappointed in the lack of basic instruction and lack of their sales contact being able to offer any guidance.

Great tool when you want to start basic features with the ability to advance to more sophisticated tools over time.

Transitioning to Active Campaign was fantastic - I had a free comprehensive onboarding series of meetings plus free migration done for me in a timely manner.
I was so impressed!
I switched principally because the delieverability rate was the highest I could find (independently verified) and I was tired of my emails randomly going to spam with another provider.

Inconvénients

There are so many features that it can be quite confusing. I highly recommend taking full advantage of the onboarding so you can ask questions, especially about anything that you are used to doing differently with a previous provider.

Was really excited to start using Active Campaign as it easy to use and understand. The potential for this software is huge and i was keen to exploit it.
Contacts, Automation, List and Forms all easy to use and set up.

Here's the rant!!
I started with a huge contact list with the view of reducing it to about 20% . First (and only) campaign was set off and filtered out non responders, bounce etc with a view to deleting them.
FIRST CON : could not delete unwanted contacts to desired amount and therefore get reduced subscription. Soon after Active Campaign takes monthly fee the contacts are reduced to some RANDOM number.
SECOND CON : The amount of contacts varies each day (even when no additions or deletions are made) so you have no accurate idea of how many contacts you have.
THIRD CON: set up a test campaign using only ONE email address (mine). This is flagged up for a "manual review". It takes TWO WEEKS to review only to be told that I have failed the review as i have no proof of consent for my own personal email address!
FOURTH CON : whilst "under review" your account is BLOCKED and you cannot use it (I'm blocked out for TWO WEEKS!)
FIFTH CON : I quite reasonably ask for a refund. " Your account is not eligible for any refunds per our Terms and Policies" is the curt reply. NO effort in trying to help.

Overall I have been left feeling very disappointed especially with the famous US customer service. .

Would I recommend - Yes but there may be better alertnatives out there

Overall, some good automation triggers and reporting features. Easy to set up broadcast emails, automations, and more. Decent pricing for the features of what normally cost more with an enterprise-level CRM and marketing platform. Good flexibility to configure the platform.

We switched from ActiveCampaign to Campaign Monitor and noticed our deliverability increased, which had a direct effect on higher open and click rates. The support team for ActiveCampaign, like most ESPs, is basic, unhelpful, and take a LOT of time to respond. Additionally, ActiveCampaign is making their tool more and more like an Infusionsoft or HubSpot CRM platform instead of focusing on email marketing. This means they're starting to fall behind in email specific features, and companies like MailChimp that offer things like unopened resends, better reporting, automatic timed sends, etc.

It's very cheap for the services they offer. There is a great amount of customization and especially through the automation that is very extensive. Also, there are pre-made automations for you to use if you don't understand how to make your own, but either way the guides they have everything you need to know on how to make your own.
Also, customer service is amazing. They truly went out of their way to make our transition to the product better and even did all the exporting of our email contacts from Emma to them easy to do.

Inconvénients

Minor issues that can be annoying. The builder is wonky. Not like a lot of the other email marketing services we have worked with. Sometimes campaigns we start on go away.
Also, very importantly is that emails sent don't come out looking well for those that use outlook! Very bad thing that needs to be fixed.

Also, The email automation setup and selections can be made more straightforward. I found myself guessing at one point what some of the labels meant and had to search through YouTube videos for help.

I primarily started using this platform because I needed a solid system to create automated sequences for my funnel , which is exactly what this platform does. It is super easy to set up and it just works. I managed to easily connect it to the MemberVault platform where I have my online courses, which was what I needed. Other mailing platforms aren't actually that easy to set up, as I discovered later, so I am super happy with it. If you need a platform that works and won't waste much of your time, go for ActiveCampaign.

The only thing I don't like about the platform is that the emails aren't aesthetically pleasing. I am used to making really beautiful newsletters, so I found the design options were really basic. That is the only downside, as far as I'm concerned. But you can still create decent emails with the options that are available and it's super easy to use, so not that big a deal.

I love the price and it is pretty easy to get started with your first email campaign. Great for someone looking to email the customer sooner rather than later with limited time and money.

It's a great software. There are numerous things I like about it. However, the best part of active campaign is their automation screens... the automations and solutions are endless.

Steep learning curve to integrate. It's not priced or structured for startups and small business, i.e., free, who then can grow into their paid options. ActivCampaign's charges $70/month, which is pretty steep for a startup when cash flow is minimal. Compared to HubSpot who has a free version, Active Campaign is losing ground to this niche. Active Campaign needs a better WordPress plugin to integrate it into websites better. Again. Compared to HubSpot, who is dominating in this area, Active Campaign has not taken advantage of the worlds number one website platform..

I like the personal touch from the support/sales team when I signed up for a free trial. They scheduled a call with me, and it was a legit good on-boarding call. Sure they tried to sell me, but it was genuine call to understand my needs, my situation, and help. Impressed.

Inconvénients

The only thing for me is the price when it comes to really scaling to large numbers of subscribers. When I am ready to make the switch to Active Campaign, I'll still have a larger portion of my data base with a cheaper option.

Active campaign is one of the top email marketing platforms for a reason, they also have a high level of analytics, an integrated CRM, and you can have emails, messages on screen or even sms in your campaigns, this makes it very powerful.

It is email marketing but taken about 5 steps ahead.

It takes the best tools for the job and gives them to the user in a simple to use form.

ActiveCampaign is extremely affordable for the amount of functionality it offers. I've evaluated lots of MAS solutions, and ActiveCampaign is one of the best I've seen for budget-conscious teams that want to have a sales backbone to the their marketing. The software is mostly focused around building your customer CRM and engaging those customers with various touchpoints throughout the lifecycle. Since the CRM is built in (starting on their Plus plan), you won't need to worry about integrating your primary systems. Even on their most expensive plan, ActiveCampaign is very reasonably priced.

While ActiveCampaign will fit many business models, I wouldn't suggest it if you're looking for a fully integrated marketing automation suite. There are some limitations to its scope, so just be aware of that in your evaluation.
