Easy Expenses
I really love this system and it has streamlined our invoicing and expensing.
Avantages
I appreciate how easy it is to submit expenses for reimbursement and invoices for payment. I especially like the feature that allows you to scan your invoice directly to Chrome River which saves time having to upload it.
Inconvénients
I wish I could edit invoices after they've been submitted.

I Recommend Chrome River
Avantages
Chrome River provides wide variety of feature which make the day to day lie easier. We have done lots of automation after moving to Chrome River platform and it saves time for users, approves and auditors.
It has also brought controls within the process.

Quick Expense Reporting
Avantages
The ability to use my phone to take a picture of my receipt and upload that either to a computer or an app makes providing and processing expenses quick and easy.
Inconvénients
It would be great if this app could leverage optical character recognition to load information from the receipt directly into the details about the expenses.

Chrome River Experience
Chrome River has helped the expenses flow through our system a lot smoother and with less issue. It also, help with accountability. We know when an expense report was submitted and how long it takes for it to process.
Avantages
I like how user friendly it is. You are able to upload a receipt multiple ways.
Inconvénients
You are not able to add an expense to a returned expense report.

Chrome River has made my work much easier!
Avantages
As an administrative assistant, my favorite function of Chrome River is that the information for all the dozens of people I support is located in one place. This function has made my work much simpler and easier than it was when we had to authorize and reimburse travel by hard copy.
Inconvénients
It would be nice if Chrome River had a function where I could duplicate pre-approval reports or expense reports from one user to another. Frequently, our staff travels in groups and have identical expense reports for their reimbursements (e.g. meal per diems) and I frequently end up submitting the same expense report for several employees.

Chrome River Expense system
Chrome River is light years ahead of the previous system we used. It is user friendly for the most part. It has reduced the work load in our Accounts Payable Department tremendously. Chrome River is much easier for navigate and to use to assist our staff in researching problems with their reports. There are a few things I don't care for, such as how you enter account allocations and how the system allows staff to enter an account allocation wrong by giving it an alias and then telling them the account is wrong when they try to submit the report. It should just tell them it is wrong in the beginning to avoid all the corrections they need to make later. Otherwise, it is great and the service is great also!

We Love It!
The spend visibility and compliance have been the biggest wins for us. We had none of this with our previous processes. It has also broadened our annual audit with the reporting capabilities.
Avantages
It is so easy to use from both a user and an administrator perspective.
Inconvénients
The software is great. The only negative that I could say is that we had some hiccups early on with the support team, but it was during a transition to the service model offered. Things have been much better with the new model.

Automated rules that drive compliance thereby eliminating manual checking. It has taken the guess work out of 'where's my expense report'. Employees receive reimbursement quicker. Paperless system!!

It drives policy compliance with reminders, warnings, and hard-stop violations. Plus, no more paper!!

The credit card reconciliation has been difficult for us, however, a big part of that could be related to our stringent state requirements.

I have used this for employment as part of travel reimbursement

There is very little I like about this system. If I had to give something I like most, I would say the general interface does appear clean and look nice at first glance.
Inconvénients
This is a super confusing system. My employer uses this for travel reimbursement. We continually have issues and have to fight to get our reimbursements despite going through all the correct steps and getting pre-approvals. The system is confusing and constantly makes you resubmit.

It has been pretty positive.

The user interface is customizable and several changes can be easily made for your own specifications.
Inconvénients
Some things you can't remove in the eWallet like "trips" which we do not use and this clutters up the screen and confuses field employees creating firm paid expense reports.

Chrome River Does Everything An Expense Reimbursement Software Should
I like Chrome River. I like that my assistant can input my expenses and I can easily determine whether or not there are any expenses awaiting my approval, any expenses awaiting approval by others, and any expenses awaiting reimbursement. It does exactly what I need it to do.
Avantages
I like that the dashboard makes it easy to determine whether there are unsubmitted expenses, expenses that have not yet been approved, or expenses approved for payment.
Inconvénients
The aesthetic of the program could be improved drastically but it does not impact the functionality of the program.

Ease of use was a big priority for us and Chrome River delivered. I found CR was extremely easy to use for the expense reporter as well as for the approver.

Chrome River Expense Reporting
Avantages
This software is very intuitive for the front-end user while handling all of the needs of the back-end user with all of the options of customization to fit the product to the company's needs like a glove.
Before we selected this product, we had a list of everything we wanted and then went to market. Every single product we demoed was lacking many items on our list. Right when we were about to give up, we demoed Chrome River and felt very confident with selecting this product.
The 1-2-3-Go Implementation was one of the best and quickest implementations I have ever been through. Communication and understanding as well as the technological knowledge was spot on.
Three months later things are still running super smooth, and customer service is great. Couldn't be more happy!
Inconvénients
Honestly, at this point there is not anything that we have encounter that there has not been a resolution to.

Chrome River travel expense system scheduled to go live this summer.
We are hopeful Chrome River will provide a faster turn around for reimbursements to travelers. We also hope the excitement over the system's features will make transition more appealing for our end users.
Avantages
While our campus will go live within the next 2 1/2 months, our end users are excited about discontinuing a manual system and have been sold on CR Snap. The end users appreciate the ability to track their reports allowing them to identify who has yet to approve their report. We are hopeful the entire campus will be as enthusiastic as our testers are.
The travel audit staff enjoys having Chrome River configured with university travel policies which assists the end users with proper reporting.
Chrome River imports from the ERP system allow the display of check information and payment break down for easy reference while reviewing submitted reports.
Inconvénients
The travel audit staff in accounting is accustomed to correcting account codes during the final audit process before the payment is made in the ERP system. Items will now have to be returned to the traveler for correction then back to the travel audit staff for review again before payment is processed in the ERP system.

There has been an ease in uploading receipts and receiving reimbursements for expenses.
Avantages
I find that chrome river is incredibly easy software to use once you learn how to use it. I enter my receipts and the expense code into the software and the reimbursement is processed within just a few days. It is easy to upload images of receipts as well.

The software can run a little slowly and took a little bit of time to learn how to use.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. Our employees are able to use it with minimal training.

We have found Chrome River to be the best fit for our expense management. We have been able to build in rules which cover all of our internal policies, as well as routing to specific approvers.
This has saved us countless hours per day in chasing approvals and expense claims.

Chrome is extremely user friendly! You do not need an app to use on your phone, or connect to any database except the internet. The snap and send function makes sending receipts to my reports flawless and easy to manage. Approvals are faster without paper and go directly to the person to review. Fast, easy and efficient!

Up until we automated our expense report process with Chrome River, we were killing a lot of trees! The features offered by Chrome River enables us to approve, track, reimburse and report on expense reports in an efficient and timely manner. The ease of use, even if it's your first expense you will know what to click on and how to submit. If you miss something, there is an error message and tells what exactly what's wrong. You can also e-mail your receipts to CR.
Inconvénients
The reporting tool within the product us slow and confusing. To create a new reports, deciding what fields you want is not straighforward. After you do get something to run, performance is slow overall.

Easy to use
The front end users now have more control over their submissions and can track them along the way until they are paid without having to inquire with finance separately. Also it ensures that the appropriate person has seen and approved an expense reducing the amount of cost transfers.

The error messages often do not appear until you try and submit, it would be helpful if they popped up while in the field that is an issue.

What is useful about ChromeRiver is being able to store receipts & add for my expense report. You can have as many reports as you want for a given month.
Inconvénients
Something I don't like is that you can't (or I haven't found out how) to edit the Name/Title of an expense report. I have to delete it & start over with proper name. Also, unless I check on another screen prior, I can't see how I've formatted the titles for past months to make the naming consistent.

Simple to navigate, OCR works very well saves a lot of effort, ability to upload images of receipts via a variety of methods is very efficient. Fro ma control / compliance perspective the data analytics available is very powerful

do not have any dislikes about the software however would prefer that card transactions that are brought in from the card provider are more "visible/obvious" than they are - because often we see our travellers submit these transactions as pay me - so causes some challenges

Pleasing to look at but not functional

It looks nice and has a catchy sounding name.
Inconvénients
The user experience is not good with this application and not super intuitive. My experience with it yesterday is that it insisted on paying me directly, instead of the corporate card, for a hotel expense. I tried over 50 times to itemize it in such a way that it would pay the card and eventually submitted the expense report and accepted that it would send me the payment directly. So, now I'll have to go pay my own corporate credit card bill. Obviously not the most efficient process.

I have a positive experience using this product. It is easy to use and has many features that reduced my admin time of submitting expenses.
Avantages
Moving from a manual process to chrome river has greatly improved the time of processes expenses. End-user can upload receipts reducing time and increasing efficiencies.
Inconvénients
It would be nice if more features such as mobile support, receipts that could be read to prefill require fills on expenses, but really this is probably coming on future updates.

Great Expense Tracking Tool
Avantages
This software make it more efficient for the finance team to process expense reports and pay our employees. The direct pay feature is great so that everyone can get paid electronically. It has cut down on the amount of checks we have to cut each month. It's pretty user friendly, and most people were able to just go in and figure out how to submit expense reports without any/much training.
Inconvénients
Getting a report in order to get the information into our accounting software (QuickBooks) has not been easy. I wish there was a way to transfer the information directly into QuickBooks because the entering of the journal entry is still a bit cumbersome.

Love getting to go Paperless!
Avantages
I find it very end user friendly. Also, I love the return feature for reports - users get a notification instantly that they need to fix something and can re-submit as soon as they are done.
Inconvénients
I feel like we are constantly running in to little problems or errors. The customer support usually responds quickly, but it's a hassle to have to put in a help ticket for every little thing.

Functional but not the best
Avantages
Chrome River hasn't caused any glitches in processing and getting receipts reimbursed.
Inconvénients
Chrome River has a poor user interface, so is hard for new users to navigate and generally is clunky.
