Avantages
Very easy to use, analytics reporting is incredibly helpful when trying to keep everyone organized.

Great for Expense Reporting
Avantages
It is easy to use for expense reporting. I especially like the feature where you can email a copy of a receipt, and it will automatically be loaded into your dashboard/wallet
Inconvénients
During our Accounting software upgrade, we ran into a number of issues with our file loads. We repeatedly had to alert the project team and sometimes the issues were not resolved on the first attempt.

Can take pics of your receipts
It provides more detail than the previous expense software we used.
Avantages
You can take pictures of your receipts to provide evidence of your expenses and chrome will often correctly guess it is a meal expense.
Inconvénients
It can still take a long time to log all my expense. The function to read the amount from the receipt doesn't always work.

Chrome River is a great expense management tool
The software is very robust and provides routing and tracking. The mileage area allows for home/work locations so commutes are automatically deducted. Excellent receipt input.

The ability to scan in receipts, the ability to set your home and work so commutes can be eliminated from travel expenses, receipt scanning capability
Inconvénients
The software is so robust that sometimes it is hard to find some of the features you are looking for that are not regularly used.

Very Easy to Use
Avantages
It's really easy to use. Being able to email pictures of receipts form my phone directly to my account is very convenient. The text recognition is better than I was expecting and it makes it super easy to clean up expenses and add them to a report.
Inconvénients
The errors that get thrown when a business condition is not met sometimes seem a little unpolished. For example, if it warns you to include a note, and you include a note, the warning doesn't go away.

We almost complete with implementing Chrome River Expense. As we have had test groups shared the new system with our campus we have had all positive feed back from campus.
Avantages
I like the reporting tools that this software offers.
Inconvénients
As we are coming from a homegrown system it is hard to adjust to not being able to customize for all policies and procedures that our state has with a vendor program but Chrome River has been great to work with and try to find solutions.

User Friendly!
Chrome River expense is intuitive and easy to help corporations manage large amounts of employees without having to take up employees time. It helps the approvers to manage any duplicate entries, rules, and company policies. Even the most technologically challenged individuals pick it up with some patience and guidance.

Occasional glitches and sometimes takes a while for images to load or response of system is a bit slow.

Streamlined Expense Reporting
The overall experience has been good so far! The implementation took longer than the Chrome River norm due to the nature of the customization on our part and asking the system to do things it had not done before. The implementation team was great to work with when building our specific interface and as a result have seen improvements in the turnaround of expense reports. Users like the fact that expense reports are now routed electronically for approval and the Accounts Payable Dept. has benefited from approval authority being automated so they don't have to manually check each person's limits along with other automated policy compliance checks. The one area that we would like to see become more user friendly is the reporting function.

Very flexible product that is easy to customize to suit your company's needs.
Avantages
Web-based software that is accessible on any mobile device and is very easy to use. We love the ability to flag duplicate expense submissions and make both expense owners and approvers aware of the duplicates.
Inconvénients
Reporting is not as robust as we would like. You can run a custom query but you do not have the ability to save it. So you have to re-create the query each time you want to run it.

The difference is night and day from our old paper-based expense reports!
It streamlines the travel reimbursement process. It makes keeping track of all the receipts you end up with when on a business trip convenient and saves the room in your wallet where you would have stashed paper copies.
Avantages
Being able to take photos of receipts with my smartphone means never losing a receipt or forgetting to submit it for reimbursement.
A great number of expense categories and then items within them such as Uber for travel. The ability to add in tips is also handy.
Inconvénients
It does take time to get used to using it.
At first, it feels like a lot of work matching receipts to expenses and so on but once you realize you were already doing it when you did paper forms it makes the transition easier.

Chrome River has provided a seamless experience for our frequent travellers as well as those who travel once per year. We have had numerous positive responses from the campus users and continue to find ways to improve our travel processes.
Avantages
Chrome River provides an extremely intuitive interface to quickly and efficiently submit travel expenses. the process virtually eliminates errors and facilitates a rapid turnaround in reimbursements. Chrome River can be accessed via web interface and mobile app for on-the-go tracking of your travel receipts.
Inconvénients
Support documentation could be more informative. We had to create our own step-by-step guides. This is not a big issue, as the interface is logical and intuitve, with a small learning curve.

Modern Expense management
Submitting an expense for the first time was real easy. The next step was to learn Chrome River Expense from an Administrative perspective as I will be supporting from a maintenance perspective. The admin functions aren't too difficult, it's more about learning the different business processes and aligning them with how Chrome River manages those business processes such a roles and rules. Customer service could be beefed up a little from a communication and testing perspective. I've felt that the testing and testing documentation is not up to par from what I've seen other support give me.

Avantages
I am using Chrome River for expense audit and it is very simple to use. There are some useful features like currency conversion, duplicate receipt checking will help to audit smoothly. Chrome River is user friendly.

Easy Expense Reporting
This dramatically helped our company go from paperless expense reporting to paper less. With that being said it now only takes 2 weeks to get reimbursed rather than sometimes over a month before we switched over.
Avantages
Chrome River makes it extremely easy to process my expense reports every month. Each expense line is easy for my supervisor to review and approve so I can be reimbursed much quicker.

I always have issues with the reporting functionality.

We have only been live for three months. But we are already experiencing ease in entering expenses, speed in the approval process, great tracking ability and reporting. Thumbs up.

Rejecting an expense or invoice for any reason, after a certain point in the process requires the user to start from scratch in getting it entered.

Inconvénients
As a user, it is a bit difficult to make changes to an expense item as you are required to drill into the item and change the item type, and any related information. It would be nice if the user had the ability to add, or make revisions within a list view.

Chrome River provides nothing but great software and customer service. This expense reporting software has really saved our company time and resources. It has streamlined our processes and helped our department operate in a more efficient manner.

Great Product!
Chrome River has helped our office with reporting features, tracking of expense reports. Having everything online has saved a lot of paper as well. The customer service at Chrome is great too. They work very hard to try to give us all we ask for in features and reporting.

Inconvénients
There are some users who don't find it very easy but I believe a lot of that is not using it very often. When you go back to it after not using it for some months then you have to reorient yourself to the screen and determine what to do.

Overall, this is a great expense tool. Very easy to use and to track expenses. I get paid quickly after submitting my expenses.

Very easy to use. You just click the category, enter your expense, upload the receipt, and Walla! I usually submit my expenses on a Friday and get paid by Tuesday.

The webpage can be super slow at times. Sometimes it’s so slow, that I will have to close it out and open the webpage again.

Overall, for the price, it is not too bad. Good amount of user-friendly features that are enough for uploading the basics of expenses but sometimes some features are extremely painful. For example, having to attach 1 receipt at a time for each expense you make and annotating it drives me nuts. I wish they had an app that just took pics one by one and straight uploaded it into appropriate categories with numbers. Overall again not too bad but for the price you pay as compared to some of the higher end enterprise expense mgmt systems

It is very easy to navigate. Most of the expense categories are self-explanatory. Import features for receipts are helpful.

When you enter text into the "business purpose" field, that text remains for the subsequent entry, so it must be deleted.

End user benefits are great!
I don't work in Accounting, but was a lead for our end-users, making sure they understood how to use Chrome River when we rolled it out. It was an EASY sell from a convenience and quality standpoint. It's slick and works very well; our firm credit card charges dump directly into their website. Couldn't be any easier. :)

Active-X based web controls are a bit burdensome on some browsers, on occasion.

Expense Reports made easy!
Avantages
We started using Chrome River about 1 years ago and this has made turning in our expense reports to the Accounts Payable team each month a breeze!
Inconvénients
My least favorite aspect is that the software can be a little difficult to use if you are not consistently using it. Once you use it a few times though it's fairly easy to operate.

Easy to Use/Save Time
We are utilizing less time managing expense reports than before & expense reports are tracked monthly instead of several times a month. This has been a big plus for our company. It also reduces the need for paper.
Avantages
Different forms of payment can be submitted in a single transaction for reimbursement.
Inconvénients
The only con would be the syncing to our existing software. The receipts are not pulled over into our current software, just the costs.

Very slow for the user
Avantages
Has OCR for receipts so it enters a lot of details for you like hotel stays. Comprehensive categories, reasonably well laid out.
Inconvénients
It is SO SLOW. Every action you take the CR symbol sits there and spins while the web interface updates the server. I have Gigabit FIOS, so it's not my connection.
What took 15 minutes with our old Java based system now takes an hour.

Chrome River proved to be highly configurable and has created numerous efficiencies for employees, in general, and the Accounting team. Mobile and web platforms make it easy to access anytime, anywhere.

Implementation was a bit clunky but the team at Chrome River really stuck with our team to ensure we had the best set up for our organization.
