The Entire Product is Deeply Flawed and Useless

From the beginning, Agile was an inflexible tool that I managed to use for the very simple tasks of sending out newsletter and other marketing outreach. Reporting was not helpful and seeing lists of contacts was difficult to achieve. Now that the mailing functionality no longer works, we are shifting to a different system.

Avantages

Early on, it was a simple way to send out newsletters and webinar reminders.

Inconvénients

At some point in mid-2021, the process for sending out email to 10s of thousands of contacts stopped functioning as simply and effectively as it had in the past. My staff (which I use as test cases) was no longer receiving emails, even though it showed in the system that they had received it (and no, it wasn't in spam). When I contacted Customer Support, not only did they not actually have a good solution for how I was to use it going forward, but they said any fix would take at least 2 weeks to implement. That is unacceptable for an online marketing tool that a user has purchased in order to send out email.

The bandaids that they provided me would work for one or two mailings and then stop working again. I was regularly trying to get customer support to find me answers but they were never able to solve my problem. The basic functionality that I appreciated - sending out nicely formatted email newsletters - is now completely gone and the platform is useless for our needs.

Beyond the fact that it doesn't actually work anymore, the reporting tools are awful and poorly configured. Querying on groups of people is inconsistent and inaccurate. There is no segmentation feature that I found that was actually effective. The email template building tool is inflexible although it is simple to use and looks nice if you can work within its parameters.

Buggy and the support is not reliable

Avantages

The GUI has a nice look and feel and they have a lot of different features. The addition of mass emailing option is a nice addition, but the pricing is a bit off (it gets very expensive very quickly)

Inconvénients

The GMail gadget stopped working, the import of the deals/opportunities didn't work correctly and after days and days of support and endless "Thank you for your continued patience" the problem wasn't resolved. What's even worse, their support staff has a habit of either not calling when agree or not providing answers when they promised they will.

The product is otherwise competitively priced and has a nice interface, but some serious quality and support issues.

The Gmail gadget helps with the contact details and actions to add tags, notes, tasks, see history from within the Gmail window. If a Gmail contact you are replying to is not present in Agile CRM, you can easily add it to the CRM. The Gmail gadget will not add any more contacts to the CRM when the limit on contacts is reached. Our pricing is very competitive as we allow 10K contacts+companies together to be saved in our basic plan where for a similar number of contacts the pricing for our competitors is much higher.

Our Support team does not give up so easily and makes every attempt to provide the solution irrespective of the scope of Support. Sometimes this delays the resolution and we understand the importance of keeping the customer informed. We thank you for your time and helping us with your feedback.

Do not use Agile if you want a service that you can trust

My overall experience with them was awful. They refused to give me any compensation for all the months of their product not working. trying to extract my data was a living nightmare and they wont give refunds even when their product fails.

Avantages

when i first signed up for agile it was quite good. it had a few bugs that i overlooked and decided not to use like webhooks and scheduling.

Inconvénients

I used only the campaigns and tags. Over the last year the campaigns stopped sending emails and the last 6 months they stopped sending altogether. I was told this would be fixed time and time again for over 6 months and it got to the point where the guy on the chat told me to make an appointment call. I never received that call or any of the othersi tried to book in. They never sent me correspondence as they promised and if you try to call their customer care number it is cancelled.
They did finally get my emails working and all of the email that had been in a cue for the past year got email that had thousands of dollars worth of updates that they werent entitled to in them.
Then when i wanted to cancel they wouldn't call me to cancel (they require a phone call to cancel) and charged me ANOTHER month.

you also cannot download your campaigns and have to apistakingly go through and either have a replacement app ready or post everything into a word document so you dont lose your data.

A jumbled mess of features that don't work.

I wasn't able to solve any business problems with Agile, as every feature I tried to use was broken or flawed in some way. From importing contacts from a CSV, to Facebook, to any other feature like newsletters and html templates.

Avantages

The automated features, when they did work, were nice.

Inconvénients

Pretty much every feature had some sort of flaw. From doing absolutely nothing when I clicked on it, to having some requirement that I had to call customer service for to find out. Their customer support is also a joke. After choosing your selection on the phone it will ring and ring then send you to voicemail without notification of doing so. Once you receive a call back, IF you do, you speak with someone you can barely understand, who basically told me that there is nothing they can do for me, their "teams" are working on fixes for my miscellaneous problems, and suggested I try other integrations as a work around. They couldn't give me an expected time they issues will be resolved. Upon trying their work around it wasn't what I needed at all. I was basically told "too bad" and to just sit and wait for a fix. Also, when you try to cancel your subscription it tells you that someone will have to call you to do so, and it could be over 48 hours until they do.

AgileCRM steals emails from billing (!!!)

Avantages

Good for marketing & sales.
Useful automatisation.

Inconvénients

I would like to raise the question that the system requires you to buy unbranded emails. I have integration of Gmail & Mailgun for outbound emails. And recently by mistake, I have found that AgileCRM steals emails from billing (!!!). By mistake, it has been chosen incorrect email as a sender in the campaign (via Gmail api) and as i have limitations of 200 emails for this gmail account and also i know that via Gmail API impossible to send more than 100 emails, so AgileCRM should send them via Mailgun. However, I found out this emails also haven't been sent via Mailgun (nothing in the log). But AgileCRM considered that emails have been sent (21'000) and deducted money from billing (in other words if AgileCRM stealing your money). Support team know about this problem but they ignoring me. I am looking for other users which also lost money for a group court application against AgileCRM.

Really fed up with Agile

God. Awful. Avoid this like the plague. I'm only still using it because we're contractually bound at this point.

Avantages

There are a ton of different tools that they offer, but I say that with a caveat. All these tools are garbage compared to competitor software.

Their support leader is actually nice to talk to. I'm sure his software team makes his job a lot more difficult.

Inconvénients

Where to begin...The landing page tool goes down every week. We've lost thousands of dollars in advertising because of this. Their team offers no resolution and refuses to offer a refund, they simply say "sorry for the inconvenience and we're working on fixing the issue". They'll offer you hours of "credit" which will be exactly the amount of hours that your pages were down. Supposedly their servers don't have enough memory for their users, which is a HUGE red flag for a software company.

If you call their support number, the girl always says "our support team is busy right now but someone will call you within the next 20-30 minutes". I've been told that at least 15 times now. And without fail, every time, I have not received a call back within 5 hours. Normally they call back the next day.

You can try to schedule a support appointment with their team, but normally they don't have same-day appointments. When their software is down or broken (which happens often), that means you are without a solution until the next day at the earliest.

Countless features of the software have bugs and it seems like I'm submitting these issues on a weekly basis. The problems never stop.

Used to be Good - Now nothing more than a scam

Used to use heavily (20,000+ contacts) but it'd become such a broken product I wouldn't recommend it to even the smallest of users. It has no reliability at this point.

Avantages

Agile CRM at one point was a great reasonably-priced solution for start-ups looking for basic contact management with some campaign management features, etc. Sadly, the Pros are long-gone and Agile CRM is nothing more than a scam today with most of the add-on features, as well as basic things like email, hardly ever working.

Inconvénients

Campaign sending has been flaky for at least 8 months with emails consistently not being sent, no logs tracking info, and a customer service team that always responds "their back-end team will be taking a look at it". As these issues go on for weeks they still bill out the $79 / month enterprise fee per user plus add-on email costs without rectifying the issue. It's gotten so bad that at times users can't even reset their own password because AgileCRM's PW emails won't even send. They blame this on an internal API Key issue - again been weeks on something as simple as resetting your password. This is a total waste of a product at this point.

Absolute rubbish

Avantages

The idea is great, the ability to have all this functionality in one package. There is not much else I can say about Agile.

Inconvénients

Basic functionality which is paramount on any CRM is useless. 30% of the email you send does not reach the recipient. I have contacted Agile 6 times about the same issue from support to top level management, and got zero response other than acknowledgement that this is serious and they would get back to me. Problem has been going for months.
Most of the functions are half complete, they are there but don't actually do anything, they have been purely added to say that they have the functionality however it serves no purpose.
My advise is don't get sucked into wasting your time and energy on this product as you will be very disappointed. Pay the extra money and get something that actually works. If you cant afford to do that, look at multiple applications that can offer the same service when combined. Just stay away from this thing.

Typically, the emails should land in junk/spam folders when your customers do not see them in the Inbox. We provide multiple options to deliver emails sent through Agile CRM. You can configure the Outbound email by providing the SMTP details. If you are using Gmail, just provide the login details. Now, what about the high volume of emails? Not to worry, we provide integration with popular email gateway providers like Sendgrid, Amazon SES, Mailgun. Just setup the email gateway by supplying any of the above account details and all your emails from Agile CRM will be routed through your own gateway account. Stay away - will IRREPARABLY DAMAGE your ability to send emails to even your existing customers

In a word, awful. Setup is confusing. First you're presented the option to link your gmail account--I did. But it did not work. Engaged chat support. They tell me to disable the link, and to use a very convoluted process to first enable 2FA on our entire company's google account users, then set up a App Password in Google Account, then provide it to Agile as p/w when setting up IMAP/SMTP instead. I had followed the nagging setup icon instructions to create MX and TXT records as well, which chat support specifically told me to remove.

I then sent an initial email in two batches of 15 receipients - existing customers we communicate with often in our business (they're tenants of our property management company). Gmail accounts received, Yahoo accounts got a 554 Permanent Error rejection response. I tried a stripped down version from within gmail (not Agile)--but then got the same 554 error. Sent a freshly composed email to a yahoo account of mine, as a test--same 554 error. These are all yahoo email addresses that have lots of prior back-and-forth with our company gmail account. Now however, Agile has created this 554 email leaving us completely unable to communicate with about 1/3 of our tenants. This is an irreparable harm. NOTHING IS WORTH THIS.

Avantages

I was drawn in by the lure of a free product.

Inconvénients

I'm now unable to send even regular text-only emails from our company's gmail account to any yahoo account, regardless of the number of prior emails back and forth between the two. We effectively now cannot use email to communicate with our existing customers reliably.

Terrible software, terrible service

Absolutely awful. I would not recommend this product at all.

Avantages

Honestly, very little. From day 1 it's been riddled with bugs.

Inconvénients

Multiple issues with email deliverability. Multiple issues with setting up automations. Terrible support that just ignores you when they can't solve an issue with their software (95% of the time). Riddled with bugs. Doesn't deliver on the majority of promises it makes.

Horrible customer service... Don't use Agile unless you want to get stuck in a contract!

Avantages

It seemed easy to use, but it kept mixing up my data.

Inconvénients

Customer service was horrible. I eventually tried to cancel my subscription, but they kept charging me for an annual subscription. I cancelled it in December of 2019. They charged me for it in January of 2020, so I called them and cancelled again. They gave me a refund. In January of 2021, they charged me again for my annual subscription. I called them back and the guy tells me at first that there are no refunds! What??? I cancelled it OVER A YEAR AGO!!! He tells me that he has to talk to his management and is not sure if he can refund my money... Grrrr... I'm so pissed... I told him that I was going to start writing bad reviews about Agile while I waited for his management. Eventually, he said he initiated the refund and cancelled my subscription... We'll see!

Email capacity has to be constantly increased, continual breakdowns

Nothing.

Inconvénients

I run a small bankruptcy firm. I should't be having capacity issues mailing out to a relatively small pool(less than 8000) potential recipients. So low sticker price as long as you just use it for family and friends. I hate an upsell and actually miss Infusionsoft every day. Never thought I would say that. Why can't this be integrated in a meaningful sense with Dialpad such that our calls are logged in Agile automatically? I have to log them myself

We went far away from them after a year

It allowed me to learn what I do and don't want in software. Their feature list spells this out, but getting the features to work and get support behind them is why we left.

Avantages

The only pros I can say currently is their feature list looks good from the surface including internal dialing, multiple seats, call recording and sharing.

Inconvénients

The tech team is difficult to reach and sometimes understand. I have no problem with offshore hiring when it's quality. For a product like this they need US based support.

Run away from them

One of the worst experience I ever had in 10 years in business.

Avantages

Nothing. Run away as fast as you can from this company.

Inconvénients

They had a service outage that lasted more than 10 days and they didn't even bother to communicate that to their clients. After a month they weren't still able to resume all the mails that were pending to be sent. They made us lost thousands of dollars in revenue plus 10s of hours to solve the incident and migrate to another company.

Trash

Frustrating. Waste of Money.

Avantages

Not much. There was something always wrong everytime I tried to use it over the course of 2 years.

Inconvénients

Technical support. They are horrible. Don't return calls and you can't talk to anybody who is technical. They always just call you back over and over again while they go ask someone else.

They cost me a lot of bussiness

The newsletters use to work when I first started on the system +- 5 years ago

Inconvénients

My newsletters stopped sending out and the system marked it as sent but when I follow up with clients they never received my newsletter. Cancelling your contract is a whole story on it's own

Support Lies, Product Doesn't Work

Very unhappy, unreliable product, and the worst customer support I have ever received for SaaS.

Avantages

It was easy to integrate with website using Embeds, and tie into other things with Zapier.

Inconvénients

The email marketing automation fails frequently. It says emails are sent but they are not. I spent three hours getting an absolutely ludicrous runaround with various support staff who would basically hang up and make me start over, before finally dealing with someone who admitted there was a problem, and they had no ETA on solving it.

Too complex and no data integrity

We wanted to setup a simple timed introduction series. We setup the templates, and then realized that you have to edit each template separate from the campaign. Then before we were ready to send, we added the contacts (which took about 3 hours) and away it went - with almost zero visibility! We sent 1,200 emails and the system said 1. When we looked in our outbox there were 1,200 so we know they were sent - and we were receiving OOTOs as well!

As per Agile CRM functionality, a campaign can only be disabled to add more contacts. However, the campaign would run till its end goal with the existing list of contacts.

Worst CRM

Over the course of a corporate career, I've used about 13 CRM systems and this may be the worst I've encountered. Using a spreadsheet would be better. Do not waste your money.

Avantages

Easy to use for inputting contacts ONLY.

Inconvénients

Everything else. Support is terrible; email sending is spotty at best. Honestly, just burn your money, you'll get as much bang for your buck as using this.

Buggy, data lost, unstable.

avoid unless the go through a customer service revolution.

Avantages

Nice idea of integrating sales and marketing automation. But in reality you just cant trust the platform. Good ideas on paper.

Inconvénients

In practice, it doesnt work. data has been lost. customer service have been unresponsive and our company missed our on Cyber Monday because of it.

Do not add your credit card information!!! I cancelled and am still getting charged.

Terrible customer service. I still haven't been able to cancel my service despite several requests and now going on month 4.

Avantages

I added my credit card info so that I could upload my list and try out the CRM. I ended up cancelling within 24 hours and did so via their online cancellation process. I have been charged 4 times now and despite requesting cancellation several times using their online cancellation process (which by the way according to their terms of service is THE ONLY way you can cancel). I have been disputing the charges with my credit card every month. WHATEVER YOU DO - DO NOT ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO

Inconvénients

The inability to cancel despite following their instructions for cancellation to a tee!

Careful they will steal your money

Bunch of crooks ..

Avantages

Initial customer support was great because they are trying to get your business

Inconvénients

They deducted my credit card even though i was still under the trial period... I raised it with them and they deducted the following month.. furious i ask them to solve it.. it is already 3 months and they still havent solved this... What a bunch of crooks!
