Top-Tier Reporting, but Leaves a Lot to Be Desired Outside of That!
Overall, I think the reporting is top-tier rivaling that of Workday Peakon and other well respected performance management platforms on the marker. However, the repetitive survey questions over time, coupled with the simple nature of the reward/accolades "high five" feature caused our engagement numbers to do down drastically and what lead us to make the change to Teamflect.
Avantages
The best feature is far and away, the reporting and analytics offered by 15Five. The robust amount of date you can access and generate actionable insights from is well worth some of the pitfalls you experience.
Inconvénients
While you are able to choose from a library of preselected questions for your time-triggered surveys (we did 2x month,) the questions begin to become repetitive over time. This caused a sharp decrease in engagement scores after 7/8 months.

A tool for disconnected members of HR to get an incorrect sense of team satisfaction
I have not found any benefits to using this software. All it did was to provide a waste of 5-15 minutes of my Friday afternoon every week.
Avantages
The tool can be used by workers to alert team managment of dissatisfaction in a way that has a lower bar to action. In this i mean raising dissatisfaction can be difficult with team management often because it requires a push from workers to raise complaints. This software can provide an outlet that has a lower barrier to participation to alert dissatisfaction - this can get the process rolling to resolve these issues.
Anonymous feedback can be given if the software is configured for this. This can be useful to understand how a team feels.
Inconvénients
This software to me feels like a solution that is better resolved by a more human touch from team management and company HR.
This software helps to provide feedback from multiple levels of a team to ensure members of the team are satisfied. I shall focus on what i feel is the most important purpose of this software, helping resolve dissatisfaction in a team.
This should in my opinion be dealt with using a human touch and face to face help from management for employees and not through a semi automated tool. 15Five sends out surveys and feedback requests every week to employees to ask for their feedback on how work is going. This to me feels not like the best solution for organisations.

Was subjected to this - bleh!
I was forced to use this for a while at a previous job and found that it interrupted my workflow, wasted my time, and was generally a nuisance.
Avantages
I'm not going to lie, I hated using this software. It facilitates the kind of micro managing, having meetings about meetings style of working within a team that I hate about non-profit life, and am glad to have left behind.
Inconvénients
I just never got anything valuable from using this software. I don't understand the need for it, and I found using it to be a giant waste of time.

Interesting concept but not enough to merit a full on service
Good but not a killer app.
Avantages
This SaaS offering is very simple - a way to quickly give "virtual" high fives to other colleagues as well as report back on your current status and mood. The website has a simple and intuitive interface. Our company would use this the tally all the feedback and kudos during the week, then present a small gift to the person with the most kudos. We also had ICs do status reports using 15five which rolled up weekly. This is actually one of the best uses as it beats using google docs.
Inconvénients
Ultimately it was deemed that 15five did not differentiate itself enough from other similar applications to merit the monthly payment. We resorted to tallying kudos using a custom Slack integration which worked out just as well. It did not have enough features to make it indispensable in our normal workflow.

Great for Keeping Teams Connected
It definitely allows me to feel more connected to my manager and to be able to share my thoughts with him. It's convenient vs having to schedule time with him.
Avantages
The UI for the entire web application is very nice. It's easy to navigate. I can access my past 15fives, high fives, all from one screen which is great. They've made it very easy to navigate on the site which is great!
Inconvénients
There are no advanced editing options when submitting a 15five. I've wanted to include images in the past but have not been able to, so it does have it limitations.

Overall, it's an okay tool
Overall, we use the tool for OKRs and performance reviews but I don't find myself ever using it for anything outside of that, simply for the fact that it's difficult to navigate and not the easiest to manage

The view into the entire company's OKRs and being able to tie your own back to the parent objectives
Inconvénients
It's hard to navigate. I've been using it for over 8 months and I still don't know where everything exists and there are so many buttons on certain pages it can be difficult to create what should be an easy to do thing like OKRs

High 5 for 15Five
Great for giving honest feedback within an organisation.
Avantages
I love the fact that you can give honest feedback without the face to face confrontations you would normally have if these types of questions were being asked directly by management or even your boss. This is a great tool for improving the communication and ironing out issues within the team and workplace. I found it really easy to use.
Inconvénients
I really enjoyed using this software, I don't think I have anything negative to say about it.

Easy to use app for giving your teammates a high five and let everyone else know about it.
For Team leads, managers, and executives who are usually very busy people 15Five is a good tool for gaining employee insight. For employees and team members, it is a good way to spread praise to your fellow co-workers.
Avantages
The slack integration. High Fives given are posted to a Slack channel for the whole team to see.
Inconvénients
For me, it can put distance between team leads and team members. Instead of talking face to face, you are sending them a report on how you feel, and what you hope to achieve. I think it is a very inhuman touch to management, but I understand that it is useful for team leaders that tend to be very busy, and don't always have bandwidth to have these types of conversations during work time.

Great for feedback, but not much else.
Overall, my experience with 15Five has been good. A couple things could be addressed, but overall, it's been pleasant experience.
Avantages
15Five is a great platform for collecting feedback from coworkers and supervisors. I love the high-five feature for giving public shoutouts to coworkers that did something well.
Inconvénients
Although I like the platform, I find it hard to prioritize. The feedback forms are repetitive every week and it makes them a bit forgetful.

15five as a product
I used 15five for a couple of years, here are my thoughts:
PROS
- Very easy to get acquainted to/ use
- Great UI
- Would get you thinking prior to your 1:1
- Facilitated great conversations with managers when completed
CONS
- Took a lot longer than 15 minutes to write and 5 minutes to review, which sometimes discouraged me or my manager to complete
Overall I think it could be very valuable for companies especially if a lot of employees/ managers are remote, but we didn't really have that and our folks usually sat across/ next to each other so they were already talking to their managers on a regular basis.

Regarding your CON on how long it takes to fill out - I hear you loud and clear! To avoid the time suck, we advise asking 5 questions or less. Another best practice is to leave a 15Five tab open on your browser and fill it in throughout the week. That way your 15Five is practically done by the time it's due.

It’s a start!
Ok
Avantages
If you aren’t currently tracking one on ones, this is a start! It’s a great way to check up on employees informally.
Inconvénients
Their support team wasn’t the best. It took them awhile to help with my issue. The platform is no replacement for a great one on one! It would be nice if they gave you a structure for one on ones and a checklist for each meeting.

Good not great. Like i said we have it but don't use it all that often so i don't get to see the benefit very much.
Avantages
I think its a solid idea to help managers and their team keep track of goals and be held accountable.
Inconvénients
It is not an essential product for my business so it just isn't used all that much at my place of work.

15Five is 15% of what I need and five times more annoying
Avantages
I like that my managers can respond privately to my comments.
Inconvénients
I personally find the software very clunky. It's not user friendly, and I find it difficult to mark objectives as done. I've also had check ins moved to previous weeks (and I haven't found a way to delete them). I'm not a fan.

Manager of a great team
It's a great tool. It just needs to change around some.

15 minutes a week to update team of problems or progress.
It only takes 15 minutes of your time. The 4 or 5 questions asked keep your boss (in our case) or your team updated on what progress or what problems you've encountered this week.
It really makes it easy to weigh in on obstacles, hindrances or just plain lack of motivation (if that's what you wish to share...with your boss (?!) to your progress on progress.
The only problem I've seen is in the metrics. We've recently switched from weekly to every other week a set of questions. In doing so, my "On Time Completion" rating has sufferred. Evidently 15Five never "got the memo" that questions are only being asked half as frequently. It dings me for not answering questions that were never asked.

Great tool - easy to use and great to keep track of what you're focusing on for the week.

You can quickly acknowledge other people on your teams to thank them for their hard work.
Inconvénients
Not always necessary - hard to constantly be filling out 15Fives.
Not too much else to dislike.
