No me gusta que el seguimiento de los alumnos no es fácil. Hay que tener plugins extras instalados y aún así no se consigue un seguimiento fácil.

Because all e-learning platforms are unique new updates/releases uncover errors that may not have been able to be tested because the combinations of software is infinite. LD support have consistently listened to issues raised, offered solutions where appropriate as well as shown humility in saying oops, we didn't think of that but let's work through this together.

Learning the course software is not easy to learn. However, the more I use it, the more efficient structures are realised in e-learning course design. They've got a great team developing course structure, which often leads to uncovering up-selling opportunities with my clients.

I looked at other options, explored Moodle extensively. All our sites are built in WordPress, so I had a fair bit of familiarity - so when I discovered LearnDash, I was excited to try it. This is the exact plugin I needed to solve my compliance and training problems. They keep upgrading its core functionality, I've found other plugins to extend its features, and their support team is very helpful when I make stupid mistakes.

One would really benefit from a solid understanding of WordPress to make the best use of LearnDash.

I like the abundance of features and integrations, in addition to the intuitive course management options and the ability to use WooCommerce payment options to sell courses directly as products.

Inconvénients

I hope they will increase the course grid layout and buttons customizing options in the future, so we will not need to install additional plugin for customizing course grid.

Avantages

LearnDash has plenty of APIs to do all sorts of fancy things. For other LMSes, I had to write a lot of custom code to do what LearnDash does right out of the box.

I also love how flexible LearnDash is. There's a lot of plugins that work alongside LearnDash.

There is a learning curve to setting it up. There's a lot of options.

I also wish that Learndash does user management in a much more streamline way. Right now, you have to modify every user individually, or build a script to manage users.

I also couldn't figure out how to use their ProPanel software.

Avantages

Apart from the fact that Learndash just works so well, I see how it is being constantly developed and my interaction with the support team with often special requests has left me deeply impressed and assured that I have the right supplier.

Inconvénients

As our major focus is on certification exams, I would like to see more done on the quiz element to make it more robust. However, recent surveys by LD indicate this is already on their radar. So, I look forward to developments

It does function as a learning management system if you are just getting your business started, this is a good place to test your product.

Support seemed challenging to come by, there was no online support and I ended up having to pay a developer from Upwork to set up my learndash for me after watching countless youtube tutorials.

Many universities and school adopted online courses system and learndash is one of the great tool for that. It is compatible with wordpress, that's mean you can create whole e-learning platform with the help of this software.

The reason for our choice of Learndash software was to build our own LMS platform, without any coding and now we run on it all our courses, short and long. Easily and without great problems.

- Reporting could be improved a lot. In France, we need a lot of it for legal reasons. At the end of a course, we need to export a complete and individual report for each student.
Pdf export of such a document would be a great improvement for all French training organizations .
- Impossible to send easily an email to all or a group of students ... Or didn't I find the way to do it ?

LearnDash has [almost] all the features needed for online courses. We use them for training courses. The course assembly, workflow, and quiz features are used on a day-to-day basis and extremely easy to manage. Extensions are available to make everything look better for the end user, and the price is not dirt cheap, but it's competitive. It's spot on for what it offers and we're extremely happy with it!

The only things that are lacking are able to be put in by modifying the code, which we have done. Since they're not available as features, it makes it a bit more time-consuming during updates (such as blocking courses or areas from users who aren't logged in, etc.)

It is just great value for money - what you get even as standard is really good. Loads of free plugins which are great. And I really like Notes and Private Sessions paid plugins. The support is also very good and genuinely helpful

Inconvénients

The only tricky part was working out the plugins needed for user registration, but there is an excellent guide on line. Like with all Wordpress tech theres always a few different options and it takes a while to figure out what is best for you.

I like that I can clone my courses and integrate them with many different apps. The participants of my course have found the interface easy to navigate.

Being a senior, the learning curve took some time to overcome and was frustrating at times but it has a lot of possibilities if you have technical knowledge.

Setting up was easy, and the tutorial videos were very informative. The ease of use for customers was also a very good aspect.

I had some compatibility issues with other plugins, and it was harder to limit purchasing the course to specific users but I managed to find a way around these, other than that the product did exactly what my client needed.

I am a big fan of LearnDash for a number of reasons, one of which is its ease of use. You don't need much skill to set up LearnDash given the very detailed tutorials on YouTube.

Compared to other eLearning softwares, there's nothing I like least in the sense that I give this much thought.

I think it's quite easy to use for those who have no experience in developing website. There is an online documentation to guide you for every step on how to construct the website (which is very helpful).

Initial integration was time-consuming, wished it has better features or a tie-in plugin for user management since WordPress user management is poor. Learn press had compatibility issues with WP User Manager (learn dash restoration process was broken with using wp user manager wouldn't create user password on registration) which left me having to do a lot more work to build a user management process

Instructs are straight forward, took me a bit to figure out exactly how to make things work the way I wanted them too. If I got in to a bind, LD support was there to help make the program do what I wanted. Two thumbs up for the Tech Support

The thing that I don't care for is when building a certificate, you almost have to have two windows open to figure out where the placements go. You setup a fake test/quiz, with one question and use that to get a certificate window, go into your builder, and start laying out your certificate. If you try to click on the certificate in builder you get a forbiden page, Would be nice to just be able to open up the certificate and not have to go though so many steps to build or edit a certificate overlay

It has many of the features that we were looking for right out of the box without added plugins. The Course Grid View feature with video previews and custom layouts is also exceptional. The codebase is robust and it's got a lot of fantastic documentation.

The support is just next level as well. That's played a huge role in our development, as we needed quite a bit of advice on advanced customization for our build. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] on the support team went above and beyond, with same-day replies packed with detailed, and useful information.

There are a couple of features that are currently available only as WSDM Labs plugin add-ons that I would like added to the core functionality, such as instructor roles and customized testimonials/reviews. But in general, it's extremely good.

Avantages

If you have experience in WordPress, this platform is an incredible bargain and toolset. Most decent LMS options are developed for large organizations, and are priced accordingly (and by seat). For smaller companies or for situations where you don't want to pay per user (Customer facing training, etc.), LearnDash is a good option. It's pretty easy to setup and configure, and there are a bunch of add-ons and extensions that make it pretty powerful.

The only minor issues I have is customization. The simplicity of setup by using WordPress also means that you have a harder time customizing things to exactly what you want. Though, to me (and most of our users/customers) the default setup is typically pretty good anyway.

I'm not the developer of my site but I do make all of the changes, etc. So when my students were purchasing classes but the classes weren't getting onto their dashboard immediately - I contacted LearnDash and they helped immediately. What a relief!

Because the developer I used was the one to implement the software, I wish I could say more here. However, I don't have anything to share here because I use it to load classes etc. but that is all. And customer service helps me when I need it. I also realize I need to learn more to take care of a few issues but I don't feel that is a LearnDash concern.

This is one of the easiest LMS's to implement if you have someone in your team who knows how to use WordPress.

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like a Moodle LMS but has all the fundamentals to give your workers an online space to learn on.

There are many pros to Learndash. First, I have not encountered any bugs, and I have built a quite expensive course. Second, it can be integrated with with many other plugins that Wordpress sites typically have, such as Memberpress and Woocommerce. It think the quizzes themselves are great, although it would be better if you could create a quiz in Google sheets and then import it.

The way quiz results are displayed is really lacking. When a student takes a quiz, he or she can see the result right after taking the quiz. But, if the user comes back to the quiz later, the user cannot see their previous attempt, they cannot see which questions they got wrong or right, or any information at all about their previous quiz attempt. This seems to be a very important feature that almost all students would want. I guess I will have to build them out in a custom way with PHP and MySQL. The other is to buy a plugin, but it still won't do what I want.

I like everything about LearnDash, it is easy to configure and your courses will be well organized.

I can't fault this plugin, it would have be a bit hard for a beginner but the tutorial videos provided solved all that.

Screen flow is hardwired in Learndash to go from the Learndash Course Grid to the Course Details Page and then can be customised to go to a Landing Page. I was looking for a feature to go from the Course Grid to a Landing Page, to increase sales. I'm using Learndash with WooCommerce and Cartflows. Perfect integration. Seamless integration also with Elementor, I customized my entire site easily. LearnDash plays very well with other major plugins. That's perfect.
The support is very good and quick to answer to any questions. Nevertheless, I didn't have much problems with LearnDash. And when I had, it was because of other plugins. But the support even helped me to find a solution.
In term of learning, it's very easy to construct courses and to sell them. I love the focus mode and the ProPanel. I can't wait to see what will be next !

There are not a lot of things I don't like about LearnDash. Maybe I would like to have more native functions of customization. But that's not much. The entire experience as a creator and as a user is very good.

It allowed me to create courses for my clients right on their websites without needing to use a 3rd party. So everything is housed and branded for them specifically.

The one feature I have liked the most about LearnDash is its overall approach to creating a course structure. You can focus on and combine the different pieces of the puzzle: sections (these are modules, basically), lessons, as well as additional components like quizzes.

The reason why I am a fan of LearnDash's approach is the fact that it enables you to look at the big picture, at the table of content and course structure first.

Some LMS platforms are all about uploading the content ASAP but not LearnDash. It wants to make sure that you nail what contributes to a logical and fluent student journey. After that, you can focus on the content and learning materials.

While I have enjoyed LearnDash's approach to course creation, I do think that it could benefit from enabling users to see a preview of the course they're creating.

In other words, I think that pairing the course structure creation with shaping the layout of the page or pages is something that would speed up and simplify things a little.

This LMS is easy to set up and is extensible. There are all sorts of plugins and add-ons you can use with it to make it meet your needs.

Sometimes you might encounter a particular question type or need that isn't supported. However, you can overcome this with add-ons or even creating something custom.

This package is extremely easy to set up and use. Lots of really great features. However, I would recommend getting help if you need to set up buckets and templates.

I found creating and managing the quizzes not very intuitive. Also, no matter what I do, I cannot get the software to push out notifications when students have completed homework. I need to check it daily which is not ideal because it means I have to do a lot of digging to find what is outstanding.

What I like most about LearnDash is the ease of use to implement and setup courses. The training videos that are included inside the plugin made learning to use it and build the courses simple. The plugin itself works perfectly, and we didn't have any issues building our courses. Our users (500+ developers) have had no issues when taking the courses and everything works like a charm.

No complaints at all so far! When using an LMS plugin, you just want it to work without hassles or needing to contact support. And LearnDash provided a great experience start-to-finish.

Realmente no tiene nada malo, es muy completo y eso que yo solo uso las funcionalidades más básicas, y con esas me sobra, pero si quieres y usando todas sus funciones podrás hacer lo que quieras en cuando a plataformas de aprendizaje, etc.

What I like about LearnDash is that it provides everything I need to create my online courses for my academy. And what I really love about it is the support, I know that any questions or issues I come up with, the LearnDash people are going to be there for me. This is for me priceless.

Nice to have: In the Questions sections or tab, to be able to select by Courses to narrow the search, I have many questions and many exercises and it is difficult to look for a specific question if I have to go over the dozens of exercises I have created. To be able to select by courses would be great.

LearnDash is incredibly customizable. If you have a vision of an online course then you can build it with LearnDash. It is a plugin for WordPress so knowing how to use WordPress is a requirement but that is most of the battle. LearnDash does a great job breaking down the process and has a great support community to help out when you get stuck.

Inconvénients

The learning curve is immense. Many of the features are intuitive but it can be had to put all the pieces together. There are a TON of pieces and you need to know how to code to truly achieve full customization. That is the hardest part. Making sure you know where all the pieces are and how to use them correctly.

Avantages

Simple to set up. Like many different settings for payment options. and definitely like focus mode (even though it could be designed in more elegant way)! Software has many small, but useful features that add a nice touch to it.

Inconvénients

The main downside is inability to offer discount coupons without expensive 3rd party plugins (unless you use WooCommerce which makes registration any payment process much longer).

As a web designer, I am not particularly satisfied with in-built options for styling of the plugin and course display options. For basic use it is amazing, but if you want anything even slightly more custom, you need to dig into CSS to work around it.

There are several features that I miss and believe that would make plugin much better, such as more advanced admin statistics, more sophisticated user panel, options to organise course materials (and to display them only to enrolled students).

If you *really* want to self-host your courses on WordPress, then LearnDash is pretty good. It provides a good framework for creating your lessons, units, etc.

Inconvénients

Hosting your course on WordPress is not a great idea. The way WordPress works (I used to work in the WordPress hosting industry), it can't cache your site for logged in users. So, once you start getting lots of students, your site performance will suffer. There are better options out there that are made for courses - Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific. Once you get sufficient WordPress hosting to handle a good student load, you'll be paying more than for a specialized course or membership platform.
