A Great Resource for Professional Development, but the Platform needs some TLC!

I enjoyed the Udemy Business platform overall, but ultimately made the decision to make a change on account of the issues with the interface. If you're a smaller organization or a large company that has the back office support, the customization and variety of course subject matter would outweigh the sluggish interface.

Lack of Flexibility and Support for Small Businesses

I’ve been incredibly disappointed with my experience using Udemy for our business. We initially invested in multiple licenses for our team, expecting it to be a valuable tool for training and development. However, as our financial situation changed, we had to reduce our team size and found ourselves with unused licenses, yet were unable to adjust our subscription accordingly.

The most frustrating aspect has been Udemy’s lack of flexibility and understanding. When we reached out to discuss options for reducing our license count and adjusting our billing cycle, we were met with rigidity and indifference. Despite explaining our financial hardship, we were threatened with third-party collections for a recent unpaid bill—adding unnecessary stress during an already challenging time.

I’m deeply disappointed with the lack of support for small businesses and the absence of any real customer service that goes beyond basic accounts receivable responses. This experience has been frustrating and has made me question our initial decision to invest in Udemy.

I wish I’d done more due diligence and reviewed Udemy’s ratings beforehand, as I now see that other users have faced similar challenges.

Variation and clean dashboard

I am very satisfied with Udemy as a business platform for learning. The dashboard shows what you’ve learned, your progress, your open courses and the mail reminder reminds you of the work you have to do. I would recommend it.

Very positive experience given that Udemy is such an easily accessible place to go to acquire further knowledge on a wide range of topics. It is also a wonderful option for taking courses from specific Professors/Instructors and Schools that one might not otherwise have a chance to experience.

Trustworthy and diverse online course platform for self development

- I tried buying online courses off of Udemy so many times. Some of the tutors are very welcoming and they will approach you -- which I really like! I must say that buying from this platform is really worth it.

A Great Way to Learn

I gained a lot of knowledge from Udemy, things I wouldn't have thought I'd ever take the time to learn. The overall quality of the courses is pretty good. I especially enjoy receiving the certificates upon completion of the courses. Udemy really provides an inexpensive opportunity to gain new skills and tools.
