I have been using Archicad since version 7.0 and I'm always telling people about how powerful the program is! You can use it to draw a 100 square foot shed or a 100 story high rise building, the capabilities are practically limitless. My ONLY complaint is the stock objects such as furniture & landscaping for renderings are pretty basic and I would love to see Archicad develop their rendering objects more fully. I would also like to see possibly a fully functional simplified product available for light commercial construction and residential design.

The software was needed for architectural drawings, and and it has been okay for 2d architectural drawing and 3d modelling, but not renderings.

Best BIM Software By far

Simply the best Architectural Software I have tried and used from "14 to 17", you need to use it in order to know what I am talking about, simply try it and you will never let it go! If only they can add construction take off! I am just waiting for my son to finish his architectural training this year in order to take advantage of all features of this great software, as my work schedule does not allow me to see/use all of its features.

ArchiCAD is the best,better than any other BIM Software!

I started using archicad from version 11,and now using version 18,i must say that i can now render supebly without exporting my drawings,the team only needs to improve on the library as they are still quite basic,Beyond that I give the graphisoft team a 5(five) star anyday,you guys are just too much!!!!

I work for a Design/ Build Firm and we use ArchiCAD for all of our design work. ArchiCAD makes our job much easier by linking different views and 2D with 3D, as opposed to AutoCAD which requires work to be manually translated to the different views. BIM technology is giant leap forward in design technology and ArchiCAD is a major player.

Massive functional, simple interface

With surprise for myself I found that ArchiCAD can be directly downloaded cloud of points saved in the format * .e57 or * .xyz and get a GDL object. It would be nice to the resulting model will automatically be converted into a model of the structural elements (floors, walls, etc.). I hope this opportunity will appear in new versions.

Excellent software but hard to implement

We had to decide if we want to switch to Archicad but we are too much invested in Revit. Archicad is an excellent software but you need to do extensive training and have support later.
