Tidio worked great until they doubled their prices in Dec 2024
We used tidio for over 6 years in conjunction with our tourism website. We set up flows for FAQ and bots to collect people's contact information before an operator could take over.
We shared the operator responsibility between three people which was nice.
Unfortunately in December of 2024 Tidio changed their pricing structure and our bill doubled from $32 a month to $64 a month. This included some kind of promotion because the package we were being migrated to was actually $100 a month! Our credit card was auto charged.
Unfortunately we can't recommend a company that does a bait and switch like this as well as auto charging customers with such an extreme rate hike without notice.
On a side note their android mobile app never really worked well and we missed many visitor chats on the mobile app.
Avantages
Tidio integrates with WordPress and facebook business very nicely it also provides CRM function with email.

Making Support and sales easy
I use Tidio for my clothing business and it extremely simplified my customer support flow and even helped me generate more sales. When I had issues the Tidio support was always on spot and helped me.
Avantages
Tidio has a really easy onboarding, strong design and surely one of the simplest to use Dashboards i have seen.
Inconvénients
The pricing could be a bit less, but overall no real cons in the product itself.

Customer service seemingly non-existent so we had to leave
It's really too bad that so many companies are turning over human support to cheap options like ai or outsourcing overseas to less qualified workers who are difficult to understand. I don't know if that's Tidio or not. We never got anyone to even respond.
Avantages
Seemed simple. Good user interface for customers.
Inconvénients
I'm sorry I recommended this for my client. It made it angry because he needed help and couldn't get any. They use ai in their own live chat and it couldn't answer his questions, nor could he get around it to get to a human. Neither would they respond to emails. In a fit of anger, he said, "I quit. Find me something else." :(

Excellent Live Chat Option for SME's
I love using Tidio, I have used other chat apps and this one is the cheapest and easiest for ensuring my customers can always reach out for support via the website. The mobile app is a huge plus.

So easy to set up on Shopify. Intuitive admin lets you set up the chat bot with ease.

Very good as it was a super simple tool to get started and deploy on my website(s) to be able to start answering our user's problems in real-time
Avantages
The onboarding experience is next none and extremely easy to go from sign-up to deploying on your website. Combining this with the ability to get started without a credit card for $0 is absolutely awesome!
Inconvénients
Creating your first or any bot's workflow is very cumbersome and not a seamless experience. Many other tools do this better and doesn't feel so "stiff"

Perfect chat for websites
It was and is an excellent tool, I still use it on some websites. The online chat and integration with websites is one of the great things that I really liked. It also has an excellent solution for email marketing.
Avantages
For years TIDIO has been my number 1 choice for all websites. Very simple to use with an app for computers and smartphones, you can have complete control.
Inconvénients
Besides the price I have no other reason to complain.

Quick response to the customer
Sometimes when customers communicated through chat, they had to wait the time that the flow of conversations at the time required to be attended to. Since Tidio was implemented, they do not have to wait because the answers are automatic and are understandable, giving a solution to the question

It has been a fabulous tool to be able to resolve customer queries through live chat much faster, many times without the need to transfer to an advisor. Frequently asked questions that are easy to answer are done by the AI, which reduces the flow of conversations. It helps improve the productivity of operators by being able to focus on more special cases that require more attention

No, there is nothing to dislike about Tidio, the whole process has been fabulous, which benefits the company

Great Alternative to Intercom
My experience with them has been great. It's a nice cheap alternative and we look forward to watching them grow.

I like how easy it is to use and implement.
Inconvénients
It's missing really basic features such as BOLD, ITALICS, and the ability to use hyperlinks. They put too much of an emphasis on bots but not the basics of using a chat program.

I think Tidio is amazing and with the rapid rise of AI it can be one of the best platforms out there for customer support.

I like that you can try it out for free with most of the premium features included and you only pay more when you start expanding.

I think it would be nice if they can increase how much you can use on the premium side of things...Maybe from 100 chatbot initiations to at least 300 that would be awesome.

A must-have for businesses that rely on online sales
We have used facebook widgets and similar in the past but Tidio has been leaps and bounds ahead of that. The analytics and the tracking of user behavior is on point. The ease of creating chat bots and canned responses and the overall look and presentation of the widget, as well as seamless integration with Wordpress makes us feel like it's going to be great for business. We are still in the free trial and have already received one booking because the customer was able to ask for a discount code through chat. We love it.
Avantages
I love being able to create our own chat bots to answer customer questions quickly and easily. Being able to track their behaviors, re-marketing return visitors to the site and initiate conversations based on what they are looking at. Many people won't call to ask a question and prefer to chat and being able to have that capability and do it effectively is going to change the way we do our online sales.
Inconvénients
The templates have not been entirely helpful for us as we are a unique industry (escape rooms). Most of what I've done I have had to set up manually from scratch. Luckily, that has been pretty easy to do. If it integrated with our booking software Resova it would also open up so much for us.

I would use Tidio again if we needed live-chat software for a specific need.
Avantages
Tidio was perfect for implementing a live chat for a huge conference we were attending, and that feature alone was what made collecting our leads and creating good relationships with potential customers instrumental in our growth at the time.
Inconvénients
If you don't have at least a little bit of web development experience, creating certain things, like auto-responses, can be difficult. We also chose not to pay for any additional features outside of more "seats" for our sales reps, and that restricted us a bit.

Overall Tidio is one of the finalist tools we shortlisted to go ahead, but it lost in a few specs and prices. if you want a free chat tool for your website you can go with it and for getting extra features and support you can upgrade.

Easy to set up is the best part I liked with Tidio, 2nd its chat prompt, and 3rd is its chat widget look.

The only thing i dislike is of its price it sometimes feels high-paid software.

The Tideo Chat Experience
It was good because I synced it to my computer, phone and tablet. I set it to notify me with a ding, so that in most circumstances I would know if someone needed assistance. It isn't an AI chat experience that answers general questions, so emails are used to communicate for all basic information as well as more detailed info.

It helped me to communicate with my customers when I wasn't able to be online.
Inconvénients
It is a little difficult to use at first. The learning curve was lengthy for me. Also, I had computer security problems because I was using it with Wordpress and I didn't have a good security running. If using with Wordpress, security must be good and kept up to date. I later found a good free system that solved my problems.

It's definitely easy to use and the way a novice user can quickly learn how to setup a chat and even a chatbot it's amazing. We just have to point our customers to Tidio and they do nearly everything themselves.

Referring to state office of consumer protection for prosecution, avoid as it appears to be a criminal company.

Everything worked good during the trial. Not the best solution we found, but good price (we thought) for the features

After trial ended we found out that services that the web site claimed we would have access to on the tier we wanted would be additional cost. Customer support could not agree on why they were doing a bait and switch. Clearly a company with honesty issues, and I would not trust my money with them.

I got sucked into the Tidio marketing, got excited, decided to add it to our website, and then it would not connect to my domain. I followed the available tutorials, but still couldn't connect it to our domain. I asked for support days ago, and it's been crickets.

Not sure. I can't even get the app working, and the support team has been unavailable for days - another bad sign.

Tidio is cheap with even a free version to up to three agents. I like the live canning, they help me in formatting quick responses

The mobile application does not sync well with the desktop application for notifications
